Cassie Humanoid Legs Robot Becomes an AT-ST

Meet Chicken-Walker 2.0 everyone. This past Halloween, the weird looking Cassie humanoid-legged robot donned a Star Wars AT-ST costume made by members of its build team at Oregon State University’s Dynamic Robotics Lab. So basically these engineers are Imperials, now creating the Empire’s latest toys. I can’t wait to see their Star Destroyers and Death Stars.

They also added some CG blaster cannon effects to the video for more realism. Though it probably won’t be long until it can really do that on its own. I think it’s time to recruit an Ewok army so we can be ready to take it down. No one deals with the Empire like those little furry freaks.

I hope someone invents a thermal detonator so I can use it on these wobbly monstrosities. At least they’re easy to trip. Stupid robot scientists. I’m surprised they didn’t give it some hands so it can hold a knife and a gun. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you people? Do you really want to be the last people on Earth with a bunch of robots? Well, I admit it does sound appealing.

I love the way it moves its legs like it has to pee too. Nice touch.

Dad Builds Kid Awesome Star Wars AT-ST High Chair

Man, kids get all of the cool stuff. Check out this amazing AT-ST high chair that Matthew Regonini from Never Not Making built for his kid. I really wish it was acceptable for an adult to sit in a high chair. Unfortunately, I can’t go out and buy one of these for myself so I can look ridiculous at the dinner table. It’s one of a kind, built by Regonini and scaled to his child.

Matthew used a CNC machine and some other tools to slice up a few sheets of plywood into the parts needed. He then layered and attached the pieces using glue and fasteners. He really did a great job, and included a ton of details. Now this kid just needs a wookiee costume and he’s all set. He’s already got the BB-8 costume for that The Last Jedi scene. I bet this thing stays in the family and gets passed down to several generations.

Does this kid even know how lucky he is? I hope so. I’m just really jealous right now. I guess I have to take up woodworking if I want one of my own.

Hopefully Matt’s next project is to make one that actually walks to the kitchen table on it’s own.

Guy Builds Life-Size AT-ST

Have you ever wanted your own AT-ST? Well, a man by the name of Mr. Kernish has created his own full-size replica of the Empire’s All-Terrain Scout Transport.

at_st_1zoom in

The is an impressive build. It looks sort of like a treehouse, with a ladder leading up to the cockpit, so I assume someone can climb in. The gun turrets all move, the hatch opens, as well as various flaps. It does everything but fire lasers and have a roaring Wookiee pop up.

This thing is basically the ultimate guard dog, just sitting next to his house and guarding it. We can only assume that he intends to take her out and fight Rebels all by himself. Hopefully, he won’t take it to some remote forest moon, because we all know that Ewoks will ruin the day of any AT-ST pilot.

LEGO Star Wars Minifigs in Ship Costumes: A New KanColle

Flickr user Nick Chen aka solscud made a cute collection of Star Wars minifigures wearing their respective vehicles. For instance, Kylo Ren has his command shuttle, Han Solo is wearing the Millennium Falcon and Rey is, well, in the Millennium Falcon, but with the new different radar dish.

Own This Life Size Metal Star Wars AT-ST

If you want to impress your neighbors, you should buy this cool life size AT-ST and park it on your lawn. Just be sure to point its blasters at your least favorite neighbor.

Now you can relive your favorite scenes from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi with this life-size Star Wars AT-ST by sculptor Sebastian Kucharski. He built it from recycled scrap steel and auto parts. This all-terrain scout transport stands at over 8-1/2 feet-tall, and weighs over 400 pounds. It looks completely badass.

I would put a Chewbacca figure in the hatch, throwing the pilot off of this thing. Or maybe recreate that whole Endor scene in your yard – assuming you’ve got some big trees. It can be yours for about $4000(USD).

Custom Star Wars AT-ST Cat Playhouse: Return of the Kitt-i

If you have a cat then you know they are just another member of the family. So treat them like it and give them a special playhouse to have fun in. We’ve seen an AT-AT cat condo, now prepare for the ultimate cat vehicle of destruction. The AT-ST cat playhouse.

atst catmagnify

There isn’t much info on this build, but that is one badass cat to have his own AT-ST. He probably pretends that he’s part of an elite squad of cat rebels who get sent in to special situations. Today his mission is to pilot an AT-ST and kill some Ewoks that have allied with the Empire.

It never seems to work out though since he gets distracted too easily. A ball of string here, a mouse there, wet food.

AT-ST cathouse: the cutest and furriest Empire ever

at-st-cathouse

Have you ever fantasized about playing a Star Wars game and controlling a Khajit? Want to make your kitten the ultimate Empire soldier? Boy, do we have something for you.

A cool thing about the Star Wars universe is that racism (speciesism?) doesn’t seem prevalent, and we got to see aliens and animals of all species in different positions along the rebel ranks. Seems the Empire has taken note of this, and aiming to increase its popularity, they are now hiring cats to ride this AT-ST unit.

This creation came from the virtual pages of The Bloggess, where the creator shared her creation with the world, and got us to envy her mad skills at crafting. I wonder if she’d agree to make a human-sized one for us.

Girlfriend Is Making This Guy Sell His Giant AT-ST Walker

Man, it isn’t easy being a geek with a girlfriend or wife sometimes. You know the story. You find something you love and you display it. You love it, but she hates it. That’s what happened with the gigantic AT-ST Walker that is for sale on eBay right now. Apparently, its owner’s girlfriend is sick of having it around.

The AT-ST’s owner, Martin Fillery says:

I think my girlfriend is starting to get a bit worried about me. I’ve always been a bit mad, and I love sci-fi stuff, but my spending on props is going through the roof… The Scout Walker is amazing, but I realised pretty quickly that it was just too big to use as on stage, so I’m selling it so I can get more toys.

The 16-foot-tall AT-ST Imperial Walker will cost you £9,800 (~$16,000 USD) – plus you’ll have to figure out how to ship it from the U.K.. You know this guy’s just going to get a bunch of other stuff she hates. This girl has a heart made of carbonite.

16-Foot Star Wars AT-ST Walker Replica: for Half-hearted Invasions

eBay seller Hollywood’s Finest is selling what it claims to be a life-size replica of the All Terrain Scout Transport aka the AT-ST aka the Ewoks’ Bitch. However it seems like Hollywood’s Finest didn’t bother looking up the canonical dimensions of the ill-advised vehicle. This replica is 16ft. tall, but the Empire requires its AT-STs to be about 28ft. high. I think the replica still looks imposing despite its height deficiency.

Hollywood’s Finest said that the replica is made from metal and wood. It appears that the trailer that it’s standing on will be included with the purchase; that’ll make it much easier for the person who buys it to haul it around. The replica can also be detached from the trailer, thanks to an integrated metal stand. The walker’s head can also be lowered between its legs using a built-in winch if you need to fit it in a smaller space.

Offer at least £9,800 (~$15,700 USD) on Hollywood’s Finest’s eBay page to get a chance at owning the AT-ST replica. Just know that your lawn gnomes won’t be afraid of taking it on.

Steampunk AT-ST Desktop Lamp: For Fighting off Desk Ewoks

Desk Ewoks can be a serious problem. They are attracted by crumbs and spills from hundreds of late night gaming sessions with never a clean-up. Yeah, I’m surprised you haven’t seen them yet either. It’s just a matter of time. So how do you combat Desk Ewoks? You get yourself a AT-ST Desktop lamp, that’s what.

steampunk at at

This Steampunk AT-ST Lamp was made by Gozdom using wood, bronze and copper overlays and looks pretty awesome. It’s made to resemble the AT-ST scout walker, but with a head that resembles the boiler of a steam locomotive.

Okay, so the Empire’s machines didn’t do so well against Ewoks and their primitive weapons on Endor, but at least you will have a fighting chance when the Desk Ewoks show up.
