Eat This: Geometric Molds For the Best Muffin Tops Ever

Geometric Muffin Tops

Nobody wants to hear about muffin tops, especially those who are particularly conscious about their figures. But “muffin tops” don’t merely stand for body parts that most people want to get rid of; they also stand for actual muffin tops. If you’re a huge baking buff and want to give your muffins a bit more personality and pizzazz, then these geometric molds will do the trick.

Just pour the batter into the bottom tin and top it with the Bakeshape muffin toppers before popping them into the over. The results are freshly-baked muffin goodness that look store-bought because of their fancy schmancy shapes.

Harry Potter Cookie Has Something from Hogwarts Inside

Move over, fortune cookies. These sweet Harry Potter treats have a little bit of magic inside each and every one of them. They were baked by Tina of Sugar Bean Bakers for a friend’s birthday.

They’re essentially sugar cookies that are topped with heavenly marshmallow fondant. The outside can be decorated any way you choose to, but the real surprise is on the inside, as there’s an “official” Hogwarts acceptance letter inserted into each one.

These cookies would be perfect treats for Harry Potter-themed parties or when the celebrant happens to be a huge Potter fan. You can easily modify the recipe, which can be found here, for your own needs. Like treasure chest cookies with pieces of a map inside, for example. The sky’s the limit!

AGA’s iTotal Control range cooker packs GSM connectivity, lets you pre-heat via SMS or web

Image

There are many options available if you want to control your appliances over WiFi, but how about an oven with its own SIM card and phone number? That's exactly what AGA has done with its latest kitchen-oriented offering, the iTotal Control range cooker. Regardless of whether you're cooking in one, or all three of its ovens, sending an SMS message to this smart appliance lets you control each one. It even texts you back to confirm whether your commands like "baking oven on" successfully initiate. The cooker naturally works over WiFi as well, giving you an on-screen emulation of its control panel on either your computer's web browser or AGA's iOS and Android apps. An external GSM remote access device -- basically a router / modem -- connects to the appliance to make it all happen, with cellular service provided by Orange. Ready to get cooking? The iTotal Control is set to sell for a hefty base-price of £10,090 (~$15,826), and you'll also be tied to a one-year contract with Orange for £5.95 (~$9) a month to enable the texting functionality. Simmer over the details at the source link below.
