NERF and Disney Team Up to Sell a $120 Mandalorian Rifle: This Is the Way

The Mandalorian merchandise is like Disney is printing their own money. And now NERF has teamed up with the company to produce this $120 Mandalorian Amban Phase-pulse Blaster. Obviously, this is going to look perfect mounted above my fireplace mantle. I mean I’ll have to find somewhere else for my grandma’s ashes, but still.

The blaster measures a very respectable 50.25-inches (1.27-meters) long and requires 2 AAA batteries, which power the rifle’s 8 different loading and blasting sound effects, as well as its LED-illuminated scope and targeting reticle. Now let’s go bullseye some womp rats!

To operate, a single dart is placed in the spring-action breech-loader, and there’s a handle you pull back to prime the gun for firing, just like the Mandalorians in the show. Pre-order a blaster before December 31st, and the guns should be ready to ship by October 1st, 2021. Wait – October 2021? That’s a long time to go in a galaxy far away. How do I even know Earth will still exist by then and NERF didn’t just take my money and is spending it in the afterlife? Food for thought. Not very good food, mind you. Actually, this is just the wrapper a fast-food burger came in.

Skid Shot Toilet Paper Spitball Blaster Gets Rapid-Fire Upgrade, Brings a Sheet Storm

At last year’s New York Toy Fair, Jakks Pacific unveiled the toilet-paper shooting Skid Shot. It’s like toy blasters that shoot foam ammo, except this one shoots wadded-up spitballs using toilet paper. Good times. Mothers everywhere spent extra on toilet paper and had to clean it up from their walls. Well, for 2019, Jakks is releasing an improved version called the Sheet Storm that makes it even better.

Shooting someone with soggy spitballs is a fun pastime. The only problem with the Skid Shot is that it used two separate levers that both had to be primed to prep the next shot. This gives your opponent plenty of time to avoid a direct hit. This has now been fixed. Costing $40, the new Sheet Storm will cost twice as much as the Skid Shot, but does away with the annoying dual levers of the original.

The new model uses a sliding, pump-action reload mechanism that primes the blaster in one-quick motion. A single roll of toilet paper will give you over 350 shots before its empty too. It also has a range of about 50 feet, so fire away!

The Sheet Storm toilet paper blaster will arrive this Fall.

An Awesome Rubberband Version of Han Solo’s Blaster

Han Solo’s iconic sidearm, the DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol is a solid sci-fi gun. The design is rugged and cool, plus it shoots lasers. What more do you need? These qualities make it an instant classic. But if you prefer rubber bands to lasers, Slingshot Channel’s Joerg Sprave has made that a reality.

This wooden replica gets the details just right. The other thing that makes this blaster replica stand out is that it looks like it is shooting lasers. This was accomplished by using miniature glowsticks as projectiles. That’s a pretty genius idea. Leave it to Joerg to come up with this.

I would pew pew pew all day long with this gun. Of course, range and accuracy leave a lot to be desired here, but that is to be expected. This blaster just looks so cool and he did a great job giving it that weathered and worn-in look. See it in action in the video and you will want one for yourself.
