Pokémon Butt Bookmarks: Gotta Spank ‘Em All

The next time you find yourself reading one of the classics, mark your page in the classiest way possible. With a Pokemon butt, naturally. These Pokémon butt bookmarks make it look as if one of the fictional creatures is trapped within the pages of your book and squirming to get out.

These fun bookmarks were created by Ukrainian artist Olena Mysnyk of MyBookmark. Choose from Charmander, Pikachu, Meowth, Eevee, or Squirtle. Nothing looks as cool marking your page as Squirtle’s butt.

Even if you can’t catch them all in Pokémon GO, at least it will look like you caught some in your favorite books.

Pinterest rolls out revamped pins for articles, aims to grab more of your bookmarks

Pinterest rolls out revamped pins for articles, aims to become a better bookmark service

It's not yet directly challenging the likes of Pocket or Instapaper, but Pinterest has taken a step in that direction today. The social networking site has announced that it's begun rolling out a new type of "pin" for articles, which will include things like the headline, author and a short description or excerpt of the article right in the pin (as seen above). Where it differs from other "read it later" services is that it doesn't pull down the entire article for you to read later -- you still need to click through to the original site. As you may recall, this latest move follows an expansion of another sort just last week: an "experiment" with promoted pins. According to the company, Pinterest users should start seeing the new feature on the web immediately, with a rollout to its mobile apps promised soon.

Apple now lets Windows users sync iCloud bookmarks with Chrome and Firefox

Image

While the release of iOS 7 was yesterday's big news, Apple also dropped a number of other smaller, but no less important, software updates. Not content with allowing only Internet Explorer users import their iCloud bookmarks to Windows PCs, the company is now letting Chrome and Firefox join the party. The additional functionality comes by way of an update to Apple's iCloud Control Panel for Windows, a small app designed to keep contacts, calendars and bookmarks up-to-date between iOS devices, Mac and PC. To make it possible, Apple -- which isn't known for dedicating resources to rival platforms -- submitted two browser extensions to do the heavy lifting. Ironically, Mac users are excluded from the fun, putting Windows users in the enviable position of receiving a feature before anyone else.

FingerPrint Bookmark Points To The Exact Spot You Stopped Reading

finger_print_bookmark_gift

Oldie but goodie here, the Finger Print bookmark is a simple rubber band with a hand with a pointed finger sticking out sideways. Why? So you can place it right where you left off on the page, and not spend that extra 10 seconds trying to remember. Remembering is hard, kids. Spend $7 for a single rubber band to do it for you. Makes sense.

Yeah, by the way, the price is just for one band, and only one comes in the package, despite images seeming to suggest otherwise.

Space Invaders Bookmarks: Pew Pew Placeholders

I love all things Space Invaders. I’m just a sucker for anything featuring those 8-bit aliens. I also love to read, so these adorable Book Invaders are perfect.

These fun bookmarks were created by Elod Beregszaszi and they are ready to land inside your favorite books, with you in charge of the invasion and giving orders about which page to assault.

Sadly they are out of stock at the moment, but they were too cool not to share. Hopefully they will be back in stock soon and we can buy some. I would buy one of each. Space Invaders are no good unless you have a small army.
