This polaroid camera goes modern with an analog slider and a burst mode!

Have you ever used an instant camera? I must say they’re pretty fun, and using one is a totally unique experience on its own. However, they’re quite limited as they can only capture one single moment, not multiple ones. With the advanced instant cameras today, you can print out a single picture several times, but you can’t deny capturing multiple images in quick succession is much more satisfying. You might say we do have our smartphones and their cool burst mode for that, but come on, there’s something so quintessential and vintage-esque about using an instant camera! In answer to our prayers, designer Cheolsu Park created Picslot. Picslot is an adorable instant camera concept that can capture and print multiple moments…or to be more accurate up to six!

Designer: Cheolsu Park

Picslot is quite similar to the burst mode on our smartphones, however, unlike our smartphones, it has been designed to capture only a few precious moments…not all of them! (I know we’re all guilty of binge-clicking everything around us on some vacation) Once you click the shutter button and continuously capture all six images, it’s time to choose which one to print, or maybe all?

A circular button runs along one side of the camera. Various slots ranging from one to six have been added, you simply slide the button and move it to the selected slot or the moment, press the button and that particular picture is printed! You can print all six, or only the ones that meet your criteria.

With its capacity to click and print multiple picture slots, Picslot overcomes the limitations of traditional instant cameras, while retaining their uniqueness, and the thrill that comes along with using one. Not to mention Picslot is quite cute and meets all my aesthetic goals for sure!

This modular keyboard design slides to double productivity!

Our work desks are probably the most cluttered surface in our lives, what with our laptops or desktops, keyboard, books, stationery, etc. Add a tablet to the mix and its utter chaos! So, South Korean product designer Cheolsu Park designed ‘Slide’. Slide is a keyboard that doubles up as a tablet. A combination of a keyboard and tablet, Slide, as its name implies comes with a ‘sliding’ element.

The tablet can be easily pulled out or pushed in, enabling it to hide sneakily below the keyboard. With two products being packed into one, space is efficiently saved, bringing the usual clutter of your desk to a minimum. When you’re only using the keyboard, the tablet snugly remains a part of it. Park added a lock button to the product, pressing it prevents the keyboard from sliding up and down, keeping it firmly in position. The edges of the product have been centered using a weighty material, ensuring that the product does not tilt in its extended form, especially when you’re typing on the keyboard. Slide comes along with two tablet pens, designed especially to complement the product. They can be operated using the rounded controls on their body. The pen and tablet duo can be used for all your sketching needs! Sketch, doodle and scribble away without the need for an individual tablet to bring your creations to life.

Available in attractive shades of olive green, honey-yellow, neutral beige, and classic black, Slide is the two-in-one, space-saving desk product that could really make our lives easier. Portable and easy to use, Slide’s sleek looks also make it a head turner!

A Suitcase for The Visually Impaired

Visual impairment shouldn’t limit the individual’s ability to travel and experience new and exciting places, however, navigating unfamiliar environments can bring a set of significant challenges. This is the problem that Guide sets outs to solve… and it does so in a clever and stigma-free way!

‘Guide’ has been designed to provide the individual with assistance and convenience, and this starts with its self-driving ability. Four cameras accurately map the surrounding environment, allowing Guide to confidently and reliably accompany the user. The option for a more conventional method of wheeling the suitcase is also available. Guide relays information on the user’s surroundings via a braille bar located in the handle, this includes informing them of traffic lights as well as letting them know about potential obstacles! All of this and more has led to a device that carries an immense level of functionality, and it has the visuals to match!

Concept

When we travel, the suitcase is always there for us. Also, visually impaired people always carry a walking stick. This smart suitcase, GUIDE, is designed to be a guide for the visually impaired by serving as a walking stick to identify the surroundings.

Self-driving

Guide works on a self-driving basis. It has a gyro sensor, such as a single-passenger self-driving electric wheel, that centers on itself with two wheels and follows the visually impaired. Of course, if they don’t want a self-driving mode, they can use the handle to move it like a normal suitcase.

Braille Bar

The braille part, a key function of Guide, is located on the handle of the suitcase and provides information about the surrounding objects/environment with the thumb. Depending on the size of the hands of a blind user, the main bar can be selected, and then the braille direction, which is the same direction of the hand they use, can be selected to complete their own handles.

Detachable Handle

The handle of the suitcase that contains Braille is completely detachable. Once the handle is detached, it can be extended for use as a walking stick. When the handle is used as a walking stick, the suitcase self-drives around the user and passes the main surrounding information to the Braille attached to the stick.

Four-way Detection Camera

Guide must observe the surroundings carefully on behalf of the visually impaired. Therefore, the cameras are located at the front, rear, and left and right ends of the suitcase to ensure not to miss an important situation. A total of four cameras accurately analyze the surroundings and guide the visually impaired through braille in real time.

Fingerprint Recognition

Fingerprint recognition makes it easier to unlock the suitcase.

Never Loose Your Vacuum Attachments Again

revolver_vacuum_layout

It’s cleaning day at my house and, as I stare at my vacuum, I’m noticing the attachments are missing. Then I realized, they’ve always been missing from every vacuum I’ve ever had… and the same was true for my parent’s vacuum. It seems like those brush and nozzle peripherals were just built to be lost!

The Revolver vacuum addresses this problem with a rotating base that will automatically attach and store the extra pieces for you. Simply select the attachment you need directly on the device and you’re good to go. Better yet, it provides a convenient upright charging station that can be placed anywhere without having to mount it on a wall.
