Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime Gaming Mouse Shows Its Reptilian Roots

Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime MOBA Gaming Mouse

The Swiss peripherals manufacturer launched today the G302 Daedalus Prime, a gaming mouse that has more in common with cobras than just the design.

When thinking about gaming mice, names such as Razer, Roccat or Mionix might come to mind a lot faster than Logitech. This company has plenty of great-performing gaming mice, but these really don’t sit at the core of their product line. However, the G302 Daedalus Prime, a mouse built with multiplayer online battle arenas (MOBA) in mind, is meant to change the public perception.

In Greek mythology, Daedalus is the father of Icarus and the creator of the Labyrinth of Crete. He is perceived as an innovator and skillful craftsman, and that’s why Logitech chose this name for their latest gaming mouse. They want their product to be associated with innovation, and rightfully so, as the G302 has tuned buttons, weight and shape, in other words all the necessary ingredients for victory.

Speaking of shape, when looking at the G302 head-on, it looks terribly much like a cobra’s head. The illuminated sides stand for the eyes, but as mentioned before, there are more things in common with that reptile, not just the design. Cobras are deadly and extremely fast, and if you’re into games where speed makes the difference between life and death, it’s probably better to have the Daedalus Prime at your side. In certain situations, a few milliseconds can help you stay on top of the game.

Logitech created this MOBA gaming mouse based on feedback it received from some gaming teams that included Team SoloMid, Cloud9, CJ Entus Frost, CJ Entus Blaze, and Invictus Gaming. The peripherals manufacturer even said it delayed the launch of this gaming mouse for a few months in order to implement all the suggestions it received from these teams. Logitech is not the only company to do so, as in the field of gaming peripherals user feedback is extremely important, and not taking it into consideration when launching a new product can be devastating.

Jason “WildTurtle” Tran from Team SoloMid mentioned that “It’s super light and responsive, the buttons are fast and feel great, and the tracking is impeccable. The G302 is exactly what I need to help my team.”
