This Fridge Looks Like a Giant Coca-Cola Can

Have a Coke and a smile every time you open up this bright red desktop fridge. It’s the real thing. I’d like to buy the world one… if I could afford it. Coke adds life. Now that I’ve proven my deep knowledge of classic Coca-Cola slogans, it’s time to get back to the product.

This literally cool desktop fridge comes from Koolatron, and looks exactly like a Coca-Cola can if you ran it through some kind of enlarger beam. It uses thermoelectric cooling to cool its contents up to 36ºF from its surrounding room temperature and can run on either 110V AC or 12V DC power, so you can even use it in your vehicle or on a boat.

The Coke can fridge can hold up to 12 cans or two 2-liter bottles of your favorite drink inside, though I think it would be sacrilege to put anything in this except for Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, or some other Coca-Cola product. Can you imagine the rift in the space-time continuum that you’d create if you filled it with Pepsi, Shasta, or god-forbid RC Cola? Don’t do it!

You can find the jumbo Coca-Cola can fridge over on Amazon, where it’s currently showing a big discount off of its regular price of $219.

F1 Race Car Replica Built from Coke Cans Is Sure to Fail Any Crash Test

If you’ve ever wanted to build your own Formula 1 race car out of coke cans, this cool video will show you how. The Q channel recently built a giant Coca-Cola F1 race car using Coke and Coca-Cola Light cans, PVC pipe, and glue. All pretty simple materials to work with.

I would have built the entire thing out of Coke cans though because everyone knows that the diet stuff isn’t as fast. Strike that. I would have used Monster Energy drinks because those will get your heart racing, so they are obviously the speediest. Anyway, it took The Q almost 1000 empty coke cans, 5 different types of glue, over 12 meters of PVC pipe, and over 400 man hours to build this thing.

The scale of the car is roughly 1:1.5 scale compared to the original F1 car. The final result is a very cool and detailed work of art that will NOT stand up to a crash at all. It won’t even stand up to someone getting in it, or even being breathed on the wrong way. It’s still pretty awesome though. Is it bad that I want to see it crushed in a real race? I know, this is why I can’t have nice things.

Junk technology: A ridiculous history of fast-food PR stunts

Who doesn't love a good, over-the-top marketing stunt? Recently we've seen a lot of those, including Pizza Hut's Pizza Parka, a coat made out of the same insulating materials as its delivery pouches. Because why not? That ridiculous product from Pizz...

Why Does McDonald’s Coke Taste So Good?

McDonald’s isn’t exactly fine dining, but they have two things on the menu that are fantastic. One is the french fries – they’re not too crunchy and not too soft, with plenty of salt. The other are their fountain Cokes. I know I’m not the only person who wonders why Coke taste so much better at McDonald’s than just about any other place.

The reason is simple – apparently it’s because McDonald’s follows Coca-Cola’s exact handling directions, and also uses metal containers for the syrup. MickeyD’s has its syrup shipped and stored in old school stainless steel containers rather than the plastic ones so many places use these days.

It also pre-chills the water and Coke syrup before they go into the drink machine. The entire fountain drink system is cold and it uses proper filtration. Plus, that wide straw also allows more to hit your tastebuds at once. Damn, now I want fries and a Coke.

The Full-auto Coke Bottle Gatling Gun

I can’t think of a better weapon for the zombie apocalypse than this full auto Coke Bottle Gatling Gun. Also, I definitely want the guy who built this, Joerg Sprave, with me as I fight off the horde. This gun packs a punch!

Joerg demonstrates his fully-automatic arrow-shooting gatling gun in this video. He made it using pressurized Coke bottles to provide the force behind the arrows. It is impressive to see it in action. You can unload the whole barrel or shoot them one at a time. Check out the video to hear about how he made it too.

I’m convinced that this guy can make a weapon out of anything. Another awesome job Joerg! I’ll take two as I hunker down in my anti-zombie lair.
