HP made a VR backpack for on-the-job training

To date, VR backpack PCs have been aimed at gamers who just don't want to trip over cords while they're fending off baddies. But what about pros who want to collaborate, or soldiers who want to train on a virtual battlefield? HP thinks it has a fix....

Designed to light up lives

It’s a pleasure to own something that looks good. It’s one of the most primal of human emotions. To rid oneself of things that are displeasing, and to gather objects that excite or soothe the psyche. The Colony lamp was created with the express purpose of being a thing of intrigue and awe. Whether the light inside remains on or off, the lamp’s exterior in itself is so mesmeric, you can’t get enough of it.

The lamp’s polygonal structure is a marvel of 3D printing, a means that is still reserved for smaller, exclusive requirements, but primarily for designs that can’t be manufactured through common manufacturing techniques. The Colony perfectly embodies both these observations, celebrating its complexity, and exclusivity.
