PowerA Nintendo Switch Diablo III Joystick: Eternal Controller

If you are a Diablo fan rocking a Nintendo Switch, you’ll like this news. PowerA has unveiled a new wireless controller for the Switch that has some cool Diablo III art on it. The controller is black with red buttons, triggers, and D-pad, with some very nice artwork and the Diablo logo.

Diablo III: Eternal Collection will arrive on November 2, and Nintendo Switch owners will be able to get in on the action this time around too. So Nintendo devotees are naturally excited and to make the occasion that much cooler, they can purchase the new PowerA controller to play the game with.

This is one good looking controller. It makes me wish that I could get a similarly designed version for my PS4. These joysticks will be available exclusively at GameStop and you can preorder them now for $49.99. You can get the controller in your hands on November 2 when Diablo III: Eternal Collection arrives.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Fan Art Contest Winners: Nephalem Gifts

Last February Blizzard and deviantART held a Diablo III: Reaper of Souls fan art contest. The winners of the contest have now been announced. Diablo III Art Director Christian Lichtner had the honor of picking the winners. He chose Kuzinskiy Andrey and his barbarian-centered piece New Evil as the grand prize winner.

deviantART member TheRafa bagged second place. In Among the Dead, TheRafa featured the new Crusader class about to engage the Reaper of Souls himself, Angel of Death Malthael.

Yong Jun Cho aka nixell won third place with his badass Monk art, Fist of Conviction. This is actually my favorite among the three.

Congratulations to all the winners! You deserve your epic loot. Use this waypoint to deviantART to check out what Christian had to say about each winning artwork, and be sure to admire them in their full resolution on their respective artists’ pages. I highly recommend looking at the other submissions as well.

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – When Is An Expansion Just Overpriced DLC?

Chinese Man Dies After 40-Hour Gaming Marathon

Actually, I’m kind of surprised that there aren’t more deaths caused by compulsive gaming. Just like anything else, you can become completely addicted to games if you’re not careful. That’s something that potentially led to the death of a Chinese man, who dropped dead during a marathon gaming session.

A 21-year-old man in Guangxi, China, died after playing an unnamed online game (probably an MMORPG) for 40 hours. Mr. Jun began his gaming session after his shift at a karaoke center at 2AM on Christmas. Other than taking short breaks to eat and to go to the bathroom, he spent the rest of the time on the game itself. Unexpectedly, the man collapsed and died, having seemingly gamed himself to death.

Like anything in life, games are best played in moderation. I have played plenty of offline RPG games – which can last a long time – but you can always switch those off, and nothing happens when you aren’t playing them – unlike MMORPGs where leaving the game could end up causing your character major setbacks.

Last year, a boy in Taiwan died after playing a 40-hour session of Diablo III, so it would be wise to stop your gaming after 39 hours and 59 minutes.
