This Dodge Charger Daytona with an exposed v8 engine is sure to win Dom Toretto’s approval!

A Dodge Charger Daytona concept that’ll stun automotive lovers with its charming looks and the bold display of the V8 engine under the hood, all exposed for automotive lovers’ attention!

Muscle cars are my weakness – it’s love at first sight, literally, and the Dodge Charger Daytona ranks up, not just on my list. Dom’s signature car in The Fast Saga is the black 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. The car he built with his father appeared in The Fast and the Furious, Fast & Furious, Fast Five, and Furious 7. With its exposed hood, this version of the Dodge Charger is sure to win Dom’s critical approval!

Now, creative designer, Karan Adivi takes us down the memory lane with an incredible CGI render of the retro racer that was way ahead of its time in terms of looks and performance. Yes, the Dodge Charger Daytona gets an incredible orange drape and an exposed hood to show off the 7.2 liter Magnum V8 engine. This modern interpretation of a legendary circuit racer does away with the exaggerated rear wing, and I absolutely love it. Atleast, a 2021 muscle car doesn’t need those old-school wings.

The ride height has been significantly reduced for a sleek aerodynamic form of the Dodge. This should produce enough downforce to keep it sticking to the tarmac on twisty corners with the reassurance of prime grip. Wheels on this stunner have also been replaced with a very boyish character and gorgeous star-shaped shining silver rims. Adivi has tweaked the flowing side body design a bit to give the car a more visually appealing balance as opposed to the original one that had a bit elongated dimension to the front. The wrapped black color strip running the length of the boot and down to the bumpers gives the ride a styling advantage.

This is one Dodge Charger every muscle car lover will glance over and over again, given the perfect combination of color and body shape. I hope Dodge land their eye on this and ponder over a future design for their most successful performance car. Or maybe this one could be the world savior in the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts!

Garmin does new in-dash navigation tricks, steers 2013 Dodge and Chrysler models

DNP Garmin will steer new Dodge and Chrysler models with indash navigation

You won't be able to leap tall structures in one of Chrysler's new cars with Garmin in-dash GPS hardware, but at least you'll be able to see them. 3D buildings and terrain are among the fresh features in the navigators, along with a new UI, trip planner, improved junction view (by a factor of 25), and enhanced routing. The nav company is one of the cogs in Chrysler's Uconnect service, which will roll out in four models next year: the Dodge Journey, Charger and Dart along with Chrysler's 300. Other players in the service are SiriusXM, which provides weather info and entertainment; and Sprint, which shoulders the in-car data workload through its cellular service. Lest you think that all this infotainment will distract you right into the ditch, worry not -- most of the controls are voice activated. If you want a beaming dealer to getcha into one of the new models, the PR is after the break.
