Keep Your Digits Dry with Some Thumb Sweatbands

Whether you use your them for sending endless text messages to your friends, or playing a round of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe on your Nintendo Switch, your thumbs are getting a workout. After all, opposable thumbs are one of the more useful bits of human anatomy. Of course, if you use them as much as I do, they might work up a sweat. What your thumbs need are some tiny sweatbands!

Fortunately, the guys at Entertainment Earth have got you covered. These miniature sweatbands are just the right size for your thumbs, and will keep your joysticks and buttons nice and free of thumb sweat.

For $6.99, you’ll get a set of four tiny sweatbands, two with a “P1” designation, and two marked “P2,” making them perfect for two-player gaming sessions.

I wonder if these are stretchy enough to put around your cat’s paws.

Kiki’s Delivery Service Jigsaw Puzzle Forms a Bowl

I never saw Kiki’s Delivery Service, but fans of the Studio Ghibli animated film absolutely loved it. But even if you aren’t familiar with the movie, you will want this if you’re into jigsaw puzzles. This isn’t some flat puzzle you are used to seeing or a puzzle made out of foam that assembles into a building. This puzzle comes together to form a bowl.

Ensky’s plastic jigsaw puzzle has 80-pieces, and when it’s completed, you get a bowl that is 3″ tall x 3″ wide, x 3″ long. It’s not gigantic, but it might be great for holding candy or some flowers on your desk. You might even be able to use it to hold paperclips.

The bowl puzzle is available now over on Amazon for about $26. Be sure to check out all of their different bowl-shaped puzzles here. There are designs for Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro as well, but they seem to be rare and much more expensive.

Spongebob Squarepants Rainbow POP! has Imagination

When my kids were little, I watched way more Spongebob Squarepants than I wanted to. Fortunately, I ended up rather liking the show. A new Funko POP! vinyl figure has been unveiled, and this one is our pal Spongebob with his “Imagination” rainbow flowing between his hands.

The collectible will land in June 2019 at Entertainment Earth. You can preorder it now for $10.99, but if you do, the annoying Spongebob laugh will be stuck in your head all day. The action figure is 3.75-inches tall and comes in a window box.

Spongebob will look great alongside your newly-acquired Freddie Mercury and Return of the Jedi POP! toys. Now, I wish Funko would make an action figure for the greatest of all Spongebob episodes, the one with the iron butt.

Star Wars Return of the Jedi POP! Vinyl Figures Know You Love Them

Fans of the original Star Wars trilogy know the new films can’t stand up to the originals. There are plenty of Star Wars toys out there, but if you have a penchant for Return of the Jedi and Funko POP! collectibles, get excited.

There are now Funko collectibles of Wicket W Warrick, Leia dressed as she was in the Ewok village, Han Solo, Emperor Palpatine, and Lando Calrissian. The Electrocuted Darth Vader is definitely the coolest with his blue face. You need him and the Emperor for your collection.

The collection will ship starting this February, and can be pre-ordered at Entertainment Earth.

Freddie Mercury Wembley 1986 POP! Figure Will Rock You

I can remember back in the day, one of the older kids that rode the bus home played a Queen album constantly on his little tape player and the song of choice was “Another One Bites the Dust,” only we all sang it “Another One Rides the Bus” each time someone got on. One of the best Queen performances ever, if you ask some folks, was back in 1986 when Queen and Freddie Mercury climbed on stage at Wembley and rocked out.

Mercury had his famous stache, white shirt, white pants with red stripe, and that gold drum major jacket, and he sang THE SHIT out of some famous Queen tracks. Fans of Queen and/or Funko POP! figures will want to shell out the cash on this version of Mercury decked out in that Wembley outfit.

Entertainment Earth has the Pop! figure up for pre-order for $10.99 with deliveries starting later this month, and you can check out the full set of Queen POP! figures here.

You Frakking Need This Classic Battlestar Galactica Collectible

I have been a big fan of Battlestar Galactica since way back in the day when Starbuck was a dude. Not long ago we talked about the BSG Viper MK II from the new series and if you had to have it, just get out your wallet again. You can now get a sweet model of the classic ship from the original series that gave the show its name.

It’s made by the same company, Eaglemoss, that produces the Viper I mentioned. The original Battlestar Galactica spaceship comes on its own stand, and includes Collector Magazine #7.

The Battlestar sells for $59.99 and will look fantastic sitting on your shelf. Now we need the classic Cylon ship to complete the collection. It will ship in May but can be pre-ordered at Entertainment Earth.

Transformers Bumblebee Masterpiece Toy Features His VW Beetle Form

Transformers fans who want a little Bumblebee in their life can get their hands on a Masterpiece Movie Series MPM-7 Bumblebee figure that transforms into a Volkswagen Beetle. The toy looks really cool, and is highly detailed compete with rusty, muddy decoration around the bottom of the car and wheel wells.

The figure features 26 points of articulation, some die-cast parts, and transforms into a 1967 Beetle in 57 steps. It sounds like one of those complex Transformers that lots of kids of the ’80s broke trying to transform. The toy is an official Takara-Tomy/Hasbro product, inspired by the Bumblebee film released at the end of 2018.

It’s available now over on Amazon for $79.99. Bumblebee would go perfectly with your fancy Optimus Prime Masterpiece edition toy we talked about last month.

Battlestar Galactica Viper MK II Collectible Is Frakking Sweet

As a kid, I loved the original Battlestar Galactica, and had some of the toys that went with the show. I particularly remember the Viper spaceship, and I would routinely play with the triangular fighter during commercial breaks. If you feel more nostalgic about the 21st century Battlestar, check out this collectible toy.

This is Apollo’s Viper MK II the newer BSG. Toymaker Eaglemoss says that it worked closely with members of the modern Galactica visual effects team to ensure the model was as accurate as possible. The 10.6″ long model also comes with Collector Magazine #6 that details the ships in the series.

The Viper Mk II will set you back $59.99 and can be pre-ordered now for delivery in March 2019. I miss this show and need to find it to stream.

“Lost in Space” B-9 Robot is Stright from the Opposite World

Lost in Space fans will want this collectible B-9 robot action figure based on the episode of the sci-fi series called “The Anti-Matter Man.” The robot has different colors than the similar toy we talked about back in 2015, because this one is from the opposite world.

The Diamond Select action figure has lights and sounds taken straight from the TV show. Lights flash in its head and on its chest when turned on, and the press of a button triggers some anti-matter dialog. The toy will say “This is the opposite world,” “So you’re the goody-goody one,” and “I don’t need help from you, punk – get lost!” Check it out in action in the video below:

The toy also has a head you can manually raise and lower, and claws that open and close. The figure sells for $39.99 at Entertainment Earth and will ship in June 2019.
