Fallout 3 Soundtrack Album: Music to Roam the Wasteland

I’ve said before that I am a big Fallout fan. I have played all the games in the franchise, and while I like Fallout 4 the best of all, Fallout 3 was tons of fun as well. If you are a serious Fallout 3 fan who happens to like records, check this out.

This is a ThinkGeek exclusive Fallout 3 game soundtrack. The LP is pressed into “Radaway Yellow” vinyl, and it includes all of the instrumental and ambient tracks from the game.

The LP has a total of 14 tracks that were composed by Inon Zur. The record is packed inside a full-color gatefold jacket with original artwork, and sells for $29.99(USD).

Best Fallout Fan Art Ever Made

Let's go pal

It won’t be long before Fallout 4 finally comes out, so it’s a good opportunity to go over the best fan art this game has inspired over the years, including a couple of recent works with the soon-to-be-released game in mind.

Fallout 4 will come out on November 10, 2015 on the PC, PS4 and Xbox one. It’s release will come five years after the release of Fallout: New Vegas, which took us through the Mojave, while the new game will focus on Boston and its surroundings.

“Wazer Wifle!”: A Fallout 3 Rap That’s Actually Pretty Good

Normally, when you see a YouTube rap based on a piece of geek culture, you know it’s going to be awful. Probably better than a local Mitsubishi dealer rap, but not by much. There’s usually no flow, the most boring and predictable rhymes in the world, a beat that sounds like it was rejected from a MC Hammer album in the ’80s, and that awful breathlessness that comes with attempting to rap without having any practice at all. It’s shameful.

This isn’t. Wazer Wifle! takes one of the game’s many amusing side characters and some of that retro brass band music, mixes it up in a funky blender, and then rattles off a billion game references with some actual skill. It will get stuck in your head, and you’ll be sorely tempted to boot up Fallout 3 once more, just so you can turn some baddies to ash with your WAZER WIFLE!

Fallout PC Case Mod: Tech from the Wasteland

This Fallout 3 PC case mod is ridiculously authentic looking. I mean sure, it’s not as portable as a Pip-Boy 3000, but still – it’s a pretty beautiful piece of nerd created gear in honor of a fantastic game.

And yes it was from Quakecon last year, so it isn’t new, but I don’t care. Its creator, DeWayne “Americanfreak” Carel did an amazing job, and you need to feast your eyes on it. One of the major benefits of a Fallout case mod is that if it gets dirty, who cares? It’s not like you can tell.

Now I just wish I had one and feel nothing but sadness.

Fallout 3 Terrible Shotgun Gets Real

If you aren’t familiar with the Terrible Shotgun, it has the second highest damage of all the weapons in the Small Guns category in Fallout 3. It also has a larger spread than normal shotguns. It is most effective in close-quarters. In fact, it is terribly deadly up close.

It’s an awesome weapon and so it’s no wonder that Harrison Krix at Volpin Props was commissioned to make this amazing replica for the web series Nuka Break. The barrel and heat shield are made of aluminum. The trigger mechanism too as well as the sight and forward pump piston.

Two drum magazines lock into place with magnetic catches. The cocking lever on the right side is spring loaded, like the trigger. Fully assembled, the whole thing weighs over 8 lbs. The detail is pretty amazing as we’ve come to expect from Volpin.

Sadly, this replica weapon does not actually fire real rounds, but you can’t have everything.
