Baby Yoda Bounty Hunter Figure: The Force Is Strong with This One

Inspired by the Beskar armor worn by Boba Fett and other Mandalorians, artist Sean Viloria created this custom 1/2-scale ‘Grogu Fett’ figure decked out in bounty hunter gear, clearly ready to bring a target in warm, or cold. The figure measures approximately 18″ tall and comes complete with a helmet that covers his pointy ears, and a tank of frog eggs on his back in the event he gets hungry and wants a snack.

Grogu Fett was handmade by Sean using clay, vintage toy parts, fabric, leather, and acrylic paint. His accessories include a lightsaber bow with Beskar arrows, spear and blaster, cape and cloak, lightsaber hilts from fallen enemies, mythosaur buckle, mudhorn signet on his shoulder, and the LED-lit egg chamber on his back. Impressive work!

Grogu really did make those frog eggs look good, didn’t he? I’ve never had frog eggs before. Or frog legs. I guess I’m not too experienced in the amphibian culinary arts. Or reptilian. Although one time when I was a kid my dad told me and my brother he was grilling rattlesnake until we refused to eat it, then he admitted they were just steak kabobs. Talk about trust issues.

These Stonks collectible figurines celebrate the biggest Reddit vs Wall Street memes of the year!

Can you believe the Salt Bae phenomenon was literally 4 years ago?? The internet knows how to move fast, quickly flitting from one topic to the next, and this year we can all agree that the GameStop saga had everyone’s attention. It started with the Reddit group r/WallStreetBets banding together to take on hedge-funds that were targeting the share price of GameStop, a brick and mortar game retail store. While the hedge-funds had shorted the stock massively, an entire warrior-clan of Redditors decided to buy the company’s stocks, taking them so high that multiple hedge-funds went into severe losses.

Far be it for a design site to discuss market speculation, but here at Yanko Design, we’re more captivated by these adorable vinyl figurines that were born out of this modern financial revolution! Say hello to Stonks and his alter-ego Stinks, two collectibles from Youtooz that stand at 5-inches tall and perfectly embody the pop-culture element of this movement. Clad in the classic suit and tie, while standing in front of an arrow chart that either indicates growth or decline (or a bull or bear run if you’re fancy), Stonks and Stinks are memes brought to life, and I honestly have never wanted something so ridiculous this bad! Both figures are a part of a limited-edition and are priced at $30 each. Grab one before their value quadruples on eBay!

Artist Gives Us a Real Woody (from Toy Story)

With reboots of The Lion King, Aladdin, and Mulan, Disney seems to be on quite the live-action remake kick of late. While some of these movies have been okay, I prefer to leave these Disney classics in the animated world where they belong. Now that I’ve seen this realistic looking figure of Woody from Toy Story, I’m afraid that Disney/Pixar might get some crazy idea of a live-action Toy Story reboot too. I’m begging them to just say no.

This incredibly detailed sculpt was created by the talented figure maker @jeno_figure. He did a fantastic job turning Tom Hanks’ iconic CGI character into a realistic looking person, retaining Woody’s upbeat expression, and reinterpreting his cowboy outfit onto a body with more human proportions. From the cowhide vest to the yellow and red shirt, to the cow skull belt buckle, Jeno truly nailed the design. It also looks like he created another alternative head with a more serious expression, as you can see in his original tweet:

Incredible work, Jeno! Now can we please have realistic versions of Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and those three-eyed aliens?

If Barney Was a Transformer, He’d Be this Megatron Beast Wars Figure

I never watched Transformers Beast Wars, but I may have to check it out now because this Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece MP-43 Megatron Beast Wars figure looks pretty damn awesome. It’s from the Japanese version of Beast Wars and was officially released in Japan last month.

It looks like a pretty decent dinosaur figure in Beast mode. You wouldn’t even know that it was a Transformer, but it’s actually transformable between robot and dinosaur form. In dino form, its head becomes its primary weapon. This form is a no-brainer for Megatron. I would have picked a ferocious prehistoric beast like the T-Rex as well.

I don’t know how many points of articulation it has, but it does have newly recorded sound effects that are in Japanese from the voice actor who voiced Megatron 20 years ago. How cool is that? This is a must-have for Transformers fans. Beast Wars fans too of course.

It’s not cheap though. You can get this transforming purple monster from Big Bad Toy Store for $319.99. You know you want it. I know I want one.
