The worlds of Garfield and Pokémon collide in “Garfémon”, a cool art project by Chicago artist Shawn Bowers, who surely is a fan of both.
Bowers has illustrated all 151 first generation Pokémon characters as Garfield the cartoon cat. You know Garfield. He’s lazy, loves lasagna. Well now you will want to catch them all. I mean catch him all. They are all Garfield. What I find interesting is that so many of these look like they are stoned. That’s what Garfield and his eyes on Pokémon get you. A bunch of drugged out, lasagna loving pocket monsters.
