Earphones that let you go with the flow

tempo_1

Have you ever wondered why marching music (brass band music) is designed to have such a fixed rhythm? Because humans have a tendency to walk to any rhythm that they listen to. It’s usually between 100 to 128 beats per minute. This is an interesting theory, but you can actually make people subconsciously walk faster by playing faster music! (Enter any Disneyland and you’ll hear march-past music while you walk to the amusement park… Now you know why!)

The Tempo concept earphones work on that principle. Instead of selecting the music, you select a BPM value. The earphones then choose the music for you, so you end up jogging or running at a predetermined pace!

Obviously designed for sports activities, the earphones have a wireless, in-ear design that’s made to stay in place while running or exercising. They pull music from online music services like Spotify or Apple Music, while a medallion with a rocker switch allows you to set the tempo of your choice. What’s the most interesting about their design is its CFM (Color, Finish, Material) treatment. The earphones, medallion/remote, and charging case come with a spattered paint design that makes them look vibrant and unique. The spatter paint detail is comparable to beads of perspiration, but with their popping colors, they look more like a burst of energy. Couple that with the energetic music curated by the Tempo, and you’ve got yourself the perfect set of exercise/work-out earpieces!

All hail the Wireless Power Bank!

huggl_charger_1

Well, this is exactly what the smartphone industry needs. Better chargers! While we’ve completely gone to trash on battery advancement (we’re literally carrying around dynamite in our pockets), there’s a lot we can do in the charger department. We never really embraced wireless charging, but we’ve completely adopted the power-bank into our daily lives. How about a power bank that just charges wirelessly? Not only would that kill the Android vs. iOS argument, it would also mean you can charge your phone with incredible ease. The Huggl’s design definitely builds a clear image of where charger technology should be headed. It comes in a power bank avatar that allows you to dock your phone into its soft cushion-y upper component. Once your phone is nestled into the pillow, it begins charging. You can place multiple phones stacked one behind another and the Huggl will charge all of them… without cables! Why are we devoting our lives to self-lacing sneakers when we can easily make THIS?!

The Evolution of Wireless Video

evo_001

Designed for the everyday home, Evo is a wireless video streaming device that takes an unconventional approach to the user experience by celebrating each product touch-point in a new and exciting way.

Unlike other video streamers, Evo eradicates the the classic clunky USB antenna by introducing a twin-shot, over-moulded, flexible TPU body. The USB antenna beautifully nests onto the front of the device. When plugged into the computer or laptop, it can also be flexed into any shape.

Evo actually takes the opposite approach at dealing with cumbersome wiring – instead of hiding these behind the scenes it brings them center stage and celebrates them! With the connection ports located at its core, Evo creates an additional level of interactivity with an enhanced plugging and unplugging experience.

Last but not least, the power button is located at the front for easy access, with the power light that halos around it. Coordinated activity lights are located at the top of both the antenna and the hub for a visual signal that their working in tandem.
