Ken Block’s Gymkhana Seven Video Has Lots of Donuts

Ken Block is insane, anyone who has watched one of his Gymkhana videos would probably agree. Take Gymkhana Five for instance – that video was awesome with Block blasting through the streets of San Francisco in his racing car doing donuts and jumping.

Gymkhana Seven has more in common with that video than some of the more contained driving environments. This time out Block is behind the wheel of a custom-built 1965 Mustang with over 800hp and all-wheel drive, dubbed the Hoonicorn RTR. If you are wondering, this is the first AWD performance Mustang around. Block proceeds to tear up LA (and numerous sets of tires) and do donuts around some of the most iconic landmarks in the city. Watch for the low rider in the video, that is my favorite part:

Gymkhana SEVEN: Just When You Thought It Couldn’t Get Better

If you’ve ever looked at a car and thought “hm, that’s pretty!”, then there’s a chance you’ll like the above video; you don’t need to be a car nut to appreciate this kind of awesome. And if you’ve ever seen a Gymkhana video, featuring the legendary Ken Block, then you already know what it’s all about. But if you thought after 6 iterations of his iconic videos, you wouldn’t be impressed anymore, think again. This time Block is driving a 1965 Ford Mustang that’s been so highly customized, you can barely tell it’s a ‘stang. It clocks in at an astonishing 845hp, and was converted to an AWD for this occasion. In the video, Ken tears down the streets of Los Angeles in what is clearly a high budget shoot, with long stretches of road blocked off to circulation. But you’ll be hooked from the start, with a smoke show for the ages. Also, keep an eye out for the part where he “skips rope” with a dancing low rider.

This video is 12 minutes long but felt like 30 seconds. It’s definitely worth a watch.

Ken Block Plays Vehicular Tetherball in Gymkhana Six

If you’re a fan of cars, racing, or stupid vehicular stunts you’ve probably seen Ken Block and his Gymkhana series of videos. Gymkhana Five saw Block tearing through the streets of San Francisco and the sixth installment in the YouTube video franchise is now available for our enjoyment. It’s cool, but I don’t think it’s nearly as cool as the last one was.

In Gymkhana Six, Block streaks through a course that is set up with red and white boundaries all around making it very tight and narrow. He flies around the course in his Ford Fiesta race car and slides around hitting tetherballs with the back of his car.

He also does doughnuts around some moving Need For Speed Lamborghinis and his trademark guys on Segway scooters. My favorite part is when he slips around corners at full speed and is able to get his car lined up to make it through narrow shipping containers with the doors open. Check out the video for yourself and see if you think it’s better than Gymkhana Five.
