Human Skin High Heels Are the Creepiest Footwear Ever

Before we get into the topic at hand, let me ask you guys something. What the hell is wrong with y’all? Why do you need to wear these shoes that look like they’re made of human skin? Are they for serial killers? All I know is that they are super creepy and they make it look like you have demon feet. You really want demon feet?

These things are actually thigh high so that when you wear them they hopefully look like it is your real skin. I’m not surprised at all that they are made by a company known as “Fecal Matter.” The artists say they’re designed to make a statement about social media ideals and body modification.

These would be great for Halloween if you want to dress up as a demon I guess. Wear them when it isn’t Halloween and you are going to get some very weird looks. Some might even run away.

They aren’t available yet, but when they are they’ll be sold for the rather outlandish price of $10,000 – making them only accessible to wealthy freaks. They are planning on making a more affordable version for those who can’t afford the high price tag.

DIY BB-8 Shoes: Roller Heels

We’ve seen a couple of outrageous heels with Star Wars-themed details. These BB-8 heels by Instructables employee Mike Warren aka mikeasaurus are stylish but not over the top. In fact, they’re under a pair of tops, because you can spin the droid-shaped heels.

Mike replaced the heels with BB-8 figures that he made out of wooden spheres. He attached the figures to the rest of the shoe using steel screws, making sure that there’s enough give for the figures to spin freely.

This is definitely a project for experienced makers because it involves welding, woodworking and fine outlining and painting.

Even though the spinning heels are the shoes’ main attraction, I think the Mike’s clean work on the foam and plastic embellishments are equally impressive. Head to Instructables for Mike’s guide.

Hollow High Heels are Hot!

atossa_shoe_1

My belief is that with 3D printing, design should be able to achieve newer heights. 3D printing enables you to make designs that you cannot make through conventional manufacturing methods. The Atossa shoe makes quite the example. The organic heel design looks something out of a Ross Lovegrove catalog. With its strangely alluring aesthetic, any person with a working knowledge of plastics will tell you that this shoe isn’t physically possible to make in a single piece. However with 3D printing, you can overcome all those barriers.

The shoe design isn’t random. It takes inspiration from our own body’s bone micro-structure. Making it sturdy, no matter how frail it looks. The shoe is designed in a way that supports all the pressure points of the foot in a way that is good for you. Each shoe is bespoke. The Atossa app allows you to send the designers pictures of your foot and have them construct shoes best suited for your wear. You can also customize the way the strap goes around your ankle, virtually giving one design multiple avatars. And just when you thought the shoe design couldn’t be more well-planned, the 3D printing uses a material called PLA to build the shoe. An organic plastic that can bio-degrade. Having said that, these heels definitely reach newer heights; and makes sure you do too!

Skywalker Lightsaber Heels: May the Shoes Be with You, Always

Star Wars fever is in full frenzy with the new flick coming this holiday season, and with that, there is a plethora of new Star Wars merch to choose from. One of the most interesting and unexpected that I have seen so far are these Skywalker Lightsaber Lace Up Heels

sw-heels-1zoom in

The limited edition shoes are brown and beige with what appears to be a snakeskin foil pattern on them. The colors look like Jedi robes. They look a bit like sneaker heels, and rather than having a normal heel on the back, they have a lightsaber.

There is a sound box inside the shoes that plays three different sound effects, including a lightsaber duel and two dogfights. The outsole of the right shoe has the speaker built into it. You can get a set at ThinkGeek for $322.99(USD).

Vader and Stormtrooper Heels: Take a Walk on the Dark Side

Do you feel a disturbance in the Force? A tingling in your feet as if millions of fangirls had suddenly cried out in joy? It’s probably because of these Darth Vader and Stormtrooper heels. The Force is strong in them.

These cool shoes are a part of a new limited-edition Star Wars collection coming to London’s Irregular Choice. The Darth Vader versions are evil looking and will make you look menacing and you may find yourself wanting to Force-Kick others. I hope you can walk straight with those Stormtrooper heels. Hopefully they can help steer you better than they can shoot.

If Heels Could Kill: Iron Shoes, Krueger Heels, and More

The Iron Shoes

The shoes are deadly, in both the figurative and literal sense. For the former, that’s because they’re inspired from elements with particularly deadly themes, such as Freddy Krueger for the Krueger heels. The latter is true because most of them are sky high and will probably give you a bad sprain if you walk around a little too carelessly while wearing them.

Aside from Freddie-inspired shoes, the most impressive from the bunch has to be the Iron Shoes, which is inspired by none other than Game of Thrones, where death is unfortunately all too common. You can check out the rest of the shoes from the series after the break.

These Harry Potter Stilettos Look Enchanting

If you love something, wear it. There’s a reason why shirts, sweaters, skirts, caps, and even pants bearing some elements from a movie or TV show sells like hotcakes: its fans just can’t get enough of it.

These Harry Potter-inspired stilettos aren’t available in stores, because they were made specially for Redditor akasha446‘s wedding.

The bride wore the red Gryffindor pair (naturally!), while her bridesmaids rocked the heels featuring Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin house. The gems adorning the heels adds a bit of glam to each shoe.

The shoes were hand-painted by akasha446′s sister-in-law, samartypants, who also happens to be a Redditor. You can check out more pictures of the shoes in the gallery below.

Ice Cream Heels Look Good Enough to Eat, But Look Pretty Silly When Worn

Ice Cream Heels

When it comes to Melissa footwear, it’s all about the plastic. So trust me when I say that while these ice cream heels look good enough to eat, they are clearly and obviously not edible. Melissa teamed up with Karl Lagerfeld to create a playful line of pumps that feature an ice cream cone on the heel.

It looks just any ordinary pair of pumps until you turn around and then BAM! It’s full-on ice cream exposure.

In fashion, don’t take anything too seriously. That’s what Melissa did for the Incense + Karl Lagerfeld shoe, which encourages good humor through the ice cream applied on the heel, transforming it into a surprise and innovative element of the outfit. Available in diverse glittered flavors, this model passes on the most fun and stylish message that you could give to those around you on gray winter days.

Can you say “Yum”?

When Famous Paintings Are Turned Into High-Heeled Shoes

Famous Heel Paintings

For some women, shoes are more than just footwear. They can be considered as wearable art, with designs that reflect its wearer’s personality. For example, women with eclectic personalities will find these shoes fancy and completely wearable, while those with more conservative tastes will probably keep on walking when they spot these pairs.

When you take a look at designer Boyarde Messenger’s newest shoe collection, then you’ll see right off the bat that it’s for women who appreciate classic art. Messenger used the renowned paintings by Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and Roy Lichtenstein, among others from the concept thought up by designer Charlotte Olympia for Neiman Marcus.
