Hot Toys Darth Vader Special Edition 1/4 Scale Figure: The Dark Side Wants Your Dollars

Of all the Star Wars characters, the most iconic is probably Darth Vader. Lots of people who grew up on the original films were super mad when the updated version was released and our man Sebastian Shaw had his face replaced with shitty Hayden “#NotMyVader” Christensen. Hot Toys made this amazing special edition Darth Vader figure that is gigantic, highly articulated, and #IsMyVader.

The premium figure is nearly 20-inches tall, has 30 points of articulation, and includes ten different hands. Of particular note is the removable helmet, so you can see Sebastian Shaw’s face just as you did in the original cut of the film back in the day when Luke takes off Vader’s mask. One of the coolest things is that with the helmet off, you can see the battle damage to Anakin’s head, something you really didn’t see in the original film (at least not on the back of the head).

Vader comes with his armor suit, black cape, chest panel with LEDs, a functional belt with lights, and boots. You get the iconic red lightsaber in three forms and a Death Star Diorama. The Special Edition includes a helmet stand with lights. The statue will set you back $575 over at Sideshow Collectibles, with delivery expected in Q4 2019.

Hot Toys Star Wars: The Last Jedi Rey 1/6 Action Figure: Show Her a Place in Your Shelf

Another Star Wars film, another Hot Toys action figure. The Hong Kong-based toy maker recently unveiled a sixth-scale action figure of Rey based on her appearance in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

As you can see in the photos, the 11″-tall figure is officially called Rey (Jedi Training), implying that Hot Toys will release multiple versions of the character from the same movie. But hardcore fans and collectors will no doubt snap this one up because of its accessories.

The action figure comes with a light-up lightsaber, a lightsaber hilt, and a blade-in-motion attachment that can be snapped onto the hilt. She also comes with her staff and the blaster pistol that Han Solo gave her. There’s more! She comes with two of Star Wars’ newest merchandise machines, the Porgs. Finally, she has seven swappable hands.

You can pre-order the action figure from Sideshow Collectibles for $228 (USD).

Hot Toys Gladiator Thor Action Figure: A Toy from Work

High end toymaker Hot Toys has finally unveiled its action figure based on Thor’s space Roman warrior outfit in Thor: Ragnarok. The Gladiator Thor action figure features the god of thunder’s new hair, his Gladiator helmet and several weapons. Just like in the film, the Gladiator helmet’s wings can be folded.

The action figure’s standard variant also comes with four pairs of hands, a shield, a pair of daggers and a pair of swords. The deluxe version adds two more swords – a short Einherjar sword and a long Einherjar sword – and a gun called a Sakaar rifle. Sadly, neither version comes with a smiling Thor face. You can pre-order the action figure from Sideshow Collectibles; the standard version costs $244 (USD) while the deluxe version costs $259.

Batman Imposter Suicide Squad Joker Variant Figure: Jokerman

I was really into Batman growing up, but I never really liked The Joker, at least not until Heath Ledger’s portrayal in The Dark Knight. For fans of the current Affleck/Leto era, you might like this Batman Imposter Suicide Squad Joker Variant Figure from Hot Toys.

I haven’t seen Suicide Squad, but apparently, this mashup didn’t actually happen in the film. Instead, it’s a crazy combo conjured up by the designers at Hot Toys. It’s still pretty cool. It’s clearly supposed to look like Leto’s Joker in the Affleck Batman suit, covered with graffiti, and leaving us to imagine how exactly the Joker got his hands on it.

The unveil went down on the Hot Toys Facebook page, but they offered up no details on when the action figure will go on sale, or how much it will cost. I am sure we can expect more details later.

Hot Toys Stan Lee Sixth Scale Action Figure: Expensivor!

Many toymakers have tried their hand at making a Stan Lee figure, but no one does it like Hot Toys. If not for the flimsy fabric that the toymaker insists on using for clothes you could easily mistake this for a picture.

The ~12″ action figure has over 30 points of articulation and comes with seven swappable hands, including a pair doing Spidey’s web shooting gesture. It also comes with a pair of glasses, a pair of sunglasses, a watch, a pen and a director’s chair.

Sadly, this being a Hot Toys figure, only the truest of true believers would purchase mini Stan. You can pre-order it from BigBadToyStore for $200 (USD).

Hot Toys Darth Vader Action Figure Force Crushes Wallets

Hot Toys is widely known for making some of the most awesome action figures on the planet. These things are heavily detailed and come with all sorts of accessories. The company is back with a new Darth Vader action figure and this little beastie is highly detailed.

It even has the infamous Vader deep breathing action. This Vader action figure is designed after the on-screen Vader from Star Wars: Episode IV and is 1/6 scale. It has LED light details and comes with an interrogator droid and stand.

Hot Toys Age of Ultron Iron Man Collectable is Made of Metal

Hot Toys makes some of the coolest collectible figures for ever created. They also happen to be some of the most expensive. These things cost hundreds of dollars even when they are made from plastic. I can only imagine how expensive this metal Iron Man collectible will be.

The collectible is a die-cast and painted version of the Iron Man Mark XLIII suit and it is 1/6 scale. The coolest part about this for me is it isn’t just red and gold, there are little silver details for the mechanisms. The arc reactor in the chest lights up with LEDs too. You can also open the helmet and see a bearded Tony Stark inside.

The base of the collectible has the remains of Ultron Mark I roasting on it. Hot Toys has already started taking pre-orders for Hong Kong customers only, with the figure priced at $2180 HKD (~$281 USD). There’s no word on when you’ll be able to order one here in the U.S.

Hot Toys Wolverine 1/6 Scale Action Figure Looks Exactly Like Jackman

When it comes to realistic action figures for collectors, Hot Toys makes some of the best. Not too long ago, I talked a bit about a Black Widow action figure and it didn’t look much like Scarlett Johansson to me. It looked sort of like her, but it was off somehow. The same can’t be said for this new Wolverine action figure.

This action figure is based on Wolverine from X-Men: Days of Future Past and it looks like a one-sixth scale Hugh Jackman. Hot Toys did a fantastic job actually making this toy look like the actor. Tiny Jackman is dressed in the future Wolverine battle suit, and has metal claws, rather than past Wolverine’s gross bone projections.

It comes with 30 points of articulation, three pairs of interchangeable palms, one pair of metal claw fists, one pair of fists, and one pair of relaxed palms. The action figure will ship in August of 2015 for $249.99(USD), and you can pre-order it now over at Sideshow Collectibles.
