Cell Phone Screen Magnifier

Get a close look at this 14 inch screen magnifier that uhmm well.. magnifies your screen. Because with it you won’t need to get a close look at your phone because your screen will be…magnified. The, as Amazon calls it “14 inch Screen Magnifier for Cell Phone, Phone Screen Magnifier, 2022 Upgraded Version Screen Amplifier, Mobile Phone Magnifying Screen, Foldable Smartphone Screen Magnifier” (we’ll just go with screen magnifier for everyone’s sanity here), uses simple optics to make your smartphone’s image the size of an iPad.

Just place your phone in the back, slide out the screen and flip it up. Make sure to pop the legs out because legs are important for both humans and machines apparently. Now you’re basically at an iMax movie (if you stand really close and cough up $20 on your way into the room). It’s a simple design and the fact that it folds flat makes it easy to travel with. You can also use it as a stand for your phone without the screen. Not sure why you’d want to do this, but you could. It has a universal fit for most smartphones.

How big is it? Did you miss the chart above? Scroll up cause we ain’t typing out the numbers today. The manufacturer recommends sitting about 3-6 feet away. However this still might be a great gadget to bring on planes and sit it on the tray table. You don’t want to eat those dry cookies anyway. Great for seniors and kids too. Overall it seems like a pretty good deal for the price, just a simple gadget that does what it says and nothing more, nothing less.

This iPhone 13 mount for PC/laptop is the must-have accessory for every desk setup

If you thought docking stations or other Magsafe compatible mounting accessories were cool, wait till you lay your hands on the Orbita iPhone mount for the PC screen or your laptop!

Magsafe has brought an expanded dimension of functioning for Apple users, creating an ecosystem of accessories and attachments. The technology debuted on the iPhone 12 lineup back in 2020, and thanks to its success, there are many third-party accessory makers like Anker, Mophie and Spigen who have created Magsafe-like functionality for Android devices too. That said, majorly the magnetic freedom to wirelessly charge smartphones, battery packs, and other cool functions is still the privilege of Apple iPhones.

Designer: Andrea Tortone

The Orbita modular system is a good example of yet another useful utility of the Magsafe technology – giving the user freedom to extend the personal working space on the desktop or laptop without any hassle. The iPhone 13 becomes the second screen according to the designer Andrea Tortone who’s developed this modular accessory for MiLi. The Apple device can be oriented in any direction – vertical, horizontal or anything in between to have a productivity-centered approach. This comes in handy for taking up Zoom calls, answering calls, or glancing over at the pop-up notifications right while you’re working on an important project.

The accessory is made out of a 3mm thick piece of aluminum for a lightweight yet robust form factor. The focus of the product is on minimalism and a clean look while being mounted on the desktop screen. Orbita’s attaches to the back of the screen and, thereafter, you can mount the Magsafe compatible phone for movement in any direction. As compared to most of the docks out there, the phone can be freely set in any orientation, and when not required it can be tucked away from sight, which is a great advantage with this intuitive accessory.

Nomad Base One MagSafe sits pretty while it charges your iPhone and AirPods

Nomad Base One MagSafe Design

The MagSafe system has proven to be convenient for most Apple products. The technology was first designed for the MacBooks, but it has since extended to iPhones. There are now dozens to probably hundreds or thousands of MagSafe chargers available as numerous manufacturers are introducing new products.

The latest is the Nomad MagSafe Base One charger that makes a first impression that lasts with its glass and aluminum design. It is an official third-party charger you can use for your iPhone as it offers official MFi MagSafe charging. Base One works with most Qi devices, delivering up to a maximum of 15W charging speed. The iPhone charger comes with a weighted metal body complemented by an elevated glass panel. The combination results in a look that can fit most interiors and space.

Designer: Nomad

Nomad Base One MagSafe

Nomad’s MagSafe Base One charger shows a solid metal and glass design, but it is not something delicate to hold and touch. It may remind you of a hockey puck, even with its rounded square shape. However, the weighted build gives it a sturdy form, so you do not have to worry about it easily being damaged. If you decide to get this, know that the 30W USB-C Adapter is not included in the box, but you can get it with a 50% discount right now.

The new charger is available in two color options only: Silver or Carbide. The Silver version looks very clean and minimalist, very Apple-like. Meanwhile, the darker option, the Carbide, appears to be more classy, although it is not all black because the middle part that does the charging is still white. Either color of the stylish charger will look good in most spaces like your home office, study room, living room, or bedroom. You can even place one in the kitchen, so you do not have to bring any charger—just keep one in every room in the house. We are not sure, though if it is fingerprint or scratch-resistant but we are hoping it is.

The designers of this charger used high-quality metal chassis and a premium glass panel. The Apple MagSafe Charger technology inside is expected to work without any problem. You can place the charger on any flat surface and not worry about it slipping or falling off because of the anti-slip rubber base. This weighs 515 grams and measures 97mm x 97mm x 18.75mm, which is less than four inches with its rounded corners that are reminiscent of a Mac Mini. Out of the box, a two-meter USB-C to USB-C cable is included. Nomad is throwing in one of its braided cables that do not chip or fray easily.

When it comes to compatibility, the MagSafe Charger works with Qi wireless charging devices and iPhone 8 units and later models. It has a magnetic alignment feature, but it only works for iPhone 12 series and above, so units are kept in place. The charger shows a raised design, and this is intentional so it can work with any smartphone camera thickness. Still not convinced about the Base One? Read this: it can also wireless charge your AirPods. It also works with Nomad protective smartphone cases as they are compatible with wireless charging, except for those wallet-style cases with cards. If you are wondering, sadly, the Base One cannot charge the Apple Watch so that is a bummer.

Nomad Base One MagSafe Charger

The $129.95 price tag may be just right for a wireless charger of this quality. That is a bit pricey for just a charger, but devices capable of wireless charging are already expensive. If you can afford those premium iPhones or AirPods, then you can also afford such a wireless charger. But then Nomad could have made this a double charger so you can charge more than just a single device. If you want to charge multiple devices simultaneously, including an Apple Watch, Nomad has the slightly more expensive Base Station and Base Station Pro.

This  MFi accessory (Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad) is functional, but hardcore Apple fans will probably love it more for its appearance. It is a stylish charging mat that works fast and is very convenient. Ugly black or white chargers are no longer wanted today because there are pretty ones like the Nomad Base One Charger but for a premium cost. It is better than those regular chargers you can get for a low price. You can say it is one premium MagSafe charger worth the price because of its solid build and aesthetics that will last.

Modular power bank concept uses a series of wireless snap-on battery ‘bookmarks’ to give your phone 30 hours of charge

Battery Pods is a smartphone charging system comprised of a smartphone charging case and magnetic battery strips to supply your smartphone with 1400mAh worth of charge.

Everyone needs a charger, but no one wants to carry one around. Battery packs are bulkier than your smartphone and wire chargers depend on an outlet to actually work. So the question of how our phones will get battery remains. PS Design Studio, known for conceptualizing smartphone accessories, tried their hand at a solution with Battery Pods, magnetic battery strips that charge your phone by attaching to an accompanying phone case.

Similar to the battery pack of Airpods, Battery Pods come in a convenient carrying case that charges on the go. Complete with seven battery strips, each Battery Pod comes with enough battery to keep your phone charged throughout the day.

To get your smartphone all charged up, Battery Pods comes with a removable phone case that latches onto your phone and leaves a landing strip where the battery packs can magnetically attach. Once the stirp to attached to the phone case, users can charge their smartphones on the go.

Each battery strip comes stocked with 1200 mAh, which, on a full charge, typically gives you 6-7 hours of phone usage time. The actual charging phone case comes with 3000 mAh worth of charge, giving you up to 30 hours’ worth of phone usage.

Conceptualized in an array of different colors, each battery strip keeps a color of its own, making it easier for users to decipher which battery strips have been used and which could still supply some charge.

UFO-inspired MagSafe wireless charger is here to add a sci-fi touch to your desk

MagSafe wireless charging is one of Apple‘s most unique features that sets it apart in the smartphone landscape. Add a bit of geeky spice to the contemporary MagSafe charger and you get this cool accessory to flaunt!

With the MagSafe charger, Apple brought to the fore easy snap-and-go charging to the equation. The perfectly aligned magnets hook on to the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 series for faster 15W charging. So, Apple lovers can keep on using their phone even when it is wirelessly charging which is a problem with other wireless chargers on the market. The popularity of MagSafe chargers means iPhone users don’t have to be restricted to Apple’s official accessories. The likes of Belkin, Mophie, Anker and Satechi make the buying decision crystal clear.

For geeks who want more than just a standard MagSafe charger for their den, the UFO MagSafe Wireless Charger will be the preferred choice. This cute-looking accessory for the Apple ecosystem is currently just a concept design, but we want to see it make it to the shelves. It’s like a UFO riding on the back of your iPhone 13 minus, all the shenanigans of gimmicky gadgets. The accessory is minimalistic in form and doesn’t go overboard with the spaceship design. UFO MagSafe strikes on first look and doesn’t fade away like other flashy accessories. In fact, it grows on me every time I have a glance at the realistic renders to churn out this write-up.

When charging, the transparent dome with the Android-like being looking you straight in the face lights up with a warm glow as soon as the iPhone is snapped onto it. Now that’s going to act as a cool bias light for people who are in a habit of staring at their phones in the pitch dark. At least with the UFO MagSafe charger hooked on, your eyes will get some respite, even if for some time!

This wireless power bank ditches bulk for a slim build and attaches to your smartphone via micro-suction cups!

Wireless Power Bank with Suction Cups

Adsorb is a wireless power bank that attaches to the back of your smartphone with micro-suction cups and replaces the bulky design of current power banks with a slimmer build.

Charging our smartphones while we’re out is always an uphill battle. You either have to ask the waiter or bartender if they have a charging cable or available outlet for yours. Your only other option is a bulky power bank that weighs and measures three times the weight and size of your phone, which is no fun carrying around. Alas, we need that juice. Slimming down its bulk and outfitting it with silicone suction cups to attach to your smartphone, industrial designer Wenjie Zheng gave the classic power bank a much-needed makeover, calling it Adsorb.

Wireless Power Bank with Suction Cups

Wireless Power Bank with Suction Cups

In conceptualizing Adsorb, Zheng hoped to swap out the conventional power bank’s heavyweight and large size for a much slimmer power bank that attaches to the back of your smartphone, requiring no wires for operation. Since we tend to use power banks only when we’re desperate for battery–like when we’re at 1% but need to seal that uber ride before the screen goes dark–Zheng cut down the size and output of the power bank to allow for a slimmer build.

Wireless Power Bank with Suction Cups

In conceptualizing Adsorb, Zheng also aimed to give the power bank a more emotive and appealing look, ditching the industrial tech look of typical power banks for a simultaneously eye-catching and discreet final look. Without the need for wires, Adsorb attaches to the back of your smartphone via a grid of suctions, adhering to and merging with your smartphone to look like a purposeful design.

Wireless Power Bank with Suction Cups

Adsorb was designed by Zheng to appeal to everyone, with his conceptualization showcasing an array of different colors ranging from marbled yellow, to sky blue, dual-tone orange, heather gray, and even violet. Considering the antiquated design of most power banks on the market, Zheng’s visualizes a wireless power bank that attaches to the back of your phone and rises to the quality of technology it powers up.

This iPhone case integrates a pair of ultra-thin reading glasses into its design to ensure you never lose your EDC items!

Picture this. You’re out at a friend’s place (seems implausible given this ridiculous pandemic, but bear with me) and you’ve got contacts on and it turns out you need to spend the night. You’ve got nowhere to stash the lenses so you decide to ditch them, but you forgot to carry your spectacles too. Or imagine you’re traveling someplace and your contact lens relocates inside your eye (or pops out) and suddenly you’re visually compromised because contact lenses are the goddamn worst. Would be nice to have spectacles handy, right? Well, with the Read On iPhone Case by Sol Sol Ito, you don’t have to worry about losing your lenses, because this nifty iPhone case comes with its own pair of glasses docked inside it.

Industrial designer Sandra Kaufmann and artist Monika Fink first attempted to design a pair of lightweight sunglasses that could be folded to save space. Leaning on the inherent foldability of eyewear, Kaufmann and Fink designed a pair of folding reading glasses that are slim enough to slip into the back of a phone case for storage. Reaching a total height of only 4mm when folded, Read On glasses hardly add any size to the accompanying iPhone case, only a slightly raised finger grip. The polished correction glass is only 3.7mm thick, allowing the slight overhang of the frames to protect the glasses from scratching when tucked in and out of their slot. The brackets’ design also allows the glasses to be folded down to one plane, enhancing their slim construction.

Whether you’ve had to ditch your contact lenses, or you’re in a dimly lit restaurant, or need to read the washing directions on clothes tags, Read On makes reading the fine print that much easier. With Read On, the days of scrambling around the house looking for your glasses with five minutes to spare are over. Integrating a pair of reading glasses into the build of an iPhone case keeps your glasses on hand without the extra bulk and time spent looking for them. Sure, you forfeit the ability to be able to wirelessly charge your iPhone with the case on, but it’s a small price to pay for having clear vision, isn’t it?

Innovative smartphone accessories that add on to and upgrade your productivity game!

Okay, I know we can all agree that the one personal gadget we absolutely cannot live without is our smartphone! As sad as it sounds, we are pretty addicted to our phones and need them to carry out a whole lot of tasks. Our daily lives would probably come to a standstill if someone confiscated all our phones. As handy, critical, and functional as phones are to us, we can always amp them up further with some useful accessories. There is a wide range of phone accessories that add to and upgrade your personal device, catering to your techy needs and requirements even more. From a pair of earbuds and its accompanying case that simply snaps onto your phone to an add-on modular camera system, we’ve curated a whole bunch of innovative and trendy designs that serve as the perfect sidekick to your precious phone!

The Snapods by Scendo are a pair of TWS Earbuds that come with a flat case that snaps right to the back of your phone. Building wonderfully on the capabilities of the MagSafe feature introduced in the latest iPhones, the Snapods make carrying earphones convenient. Just snap them to the back of your phone and you’ve got yourself a pair of earphones that are easy to store, quick to access, and hard to lose. The case’s design is inspired directly by where it’s located. Made to sit against the back of your phone, the Snapods case comes with a flat, wedge-shaped profile, making it easy to slip your phone into your pocket. The slim case doesn’t just dock the earphones, it charges them too, giving you an impressive 45 hours of playtime. The earphones match (and sometimes outperform) the AirPods in almost every category. Pop them out of the case and they instantly power on and connect to your phone using Bluetooth 5.2 technology.

The +Lens modular system by Shawn Wang relies on empowering the primary camera with add-on lenses – much like the way you snap lenses onto your DSLR. Unlike most smartphone camera-lenses, Wang’s +Lens system is both exhaustive and powerful. The system consists of four add-on lenses that come in a nice, AirPods-case-shaped box along with a holder that lets them snap right onto your iPhone 12. These lenses, apart from augmenting your iPhone’s photographic abilities, come with their own focus rings, giving you precise control over how you capture the world around you.

The PhoneSoap, as its name rightfully suggests, was designed for this exact purpose. Rather than using cleaning solvents, PhoneSoap uses UV rays to kill 99.9% of the bacteria and viruses on your phone in merely 10 minutes. PhoneSoap 3 is the smallest and most powerful product in the PhoneSoap family. Designed to be like a tanning-bed for your smartphone, the PhoneSoap 3 uses high-wavelength UV-C rays on both sides to sterilize your smartphone. Its large chamber fits phones of all sizes and even allows you to charge your phone using its internal 6500mAh battery pack! Just lock your phone and pop it into the chamber and PhoneSoap 3 runs a 10-minute cycle to deep-clean your device, entering even the tough-to-reach spots like the speaker-grilles. An LED indicator on the top tells you when the cycle is over, so you can take your phone out knowing that it’s completely clean after hours of touching hands, faces, and resting on unknown surfaces.

The CLIP is a wireless power bank designed to snap onto the back of your phone either using MagSafe (for newer iPhone models) or using an adhesive clip (for older iPhones and Android devices). In doing so, the device aligns with the smartphone’s wireless charging coil, allowing it to charge the phone’s battery on the fly, without any cables. However, the CLIP doesn’t just add an extra external battery to the back of your phone, it also adds a kickstand that can be used in both landscape and portable formats. A metal component (shaped sort of like a carabiner clip) wraps around the power-bank and can be opened out to let you prop your phone vertically or horizontally while it’s charging. Now that’s a mighty clever use of the MagSafe feature if you ask me. In fact, if you could extend the size of the power-bank and add slots to dock/charge your AirPods, this would be absolutely perfect.

Combining two of Monica Geller’s favorite things, cooking + cleaning, this neat toaster actually is a smart appliance that disinfects your phone. This conceptual toaster was designed to make disinfecting your phones a little easier and, honestly, more fun! Instead of the usual wipe down, this turns the task into a small interaction with the product that leaves you with a nice feeling instead of “I have to wipe my phone 25 times a day because there is a pandemic”. It aims to make the interaction between products and people more playful. The toaster also charges your phone while disinfecting it which is a nice way to reduce your screen time, I mean your phone is being “toasted” so you can’t take it out till it’s done! While the concept is still being developed, I assume it uses UV light to disinfect and sanitize the phone while wirelessly charging it.

The Waving Multifunctional Speaker is a perfect example of how form and function can help redefine a product’s design. The speaker isn’t just designed to act as an audio-playing device. It’s mindful of the objects and spaces associated with it. Given that wireless speakers are almost always used with smartphones, the Waving Multifunctional Speaker even doubles as a dock/stand for your mobile, allowing you to watch videos on it while the three mid-range audio drivers on the front pump sound out. The Waving Multifunctional Speaker even comes with a distinct wave-texture on its top which serves as a nifty area to rest stationery. Aware of the fact that most speakers find themselves placed on work desks, the Waving Multifunctional Speaker integrates a clever and convenient solution, allowing you to rest your pens and pencils on it while you work.

The TalkSocket looks exactly like a regular PopSocket-style phone-holder. It’s about the same size and shape, and it attaches to the back of your phone, allowing you to grip it better. However, it’s more than that… With a microphone on the inside and a nifty Echo-inspired LED ring on the outside, the TalkSocket is actually a miniature smart-speaker that allows Alexa and Google Assistant (which for the most part exist within homes) to actually be with you in your pocket wherever you go. The socket connects to and communicates directly with the Alexa or Google app on your phone. Talk to it as you would talk to a smart speaker and it instantly responds, without needing you to tap buttons or even unlock your phone. More importantly, though, it lets you override your phone’s existing voice AI for something you use every day, so if you’re more used to talking to Alexa at home (and you have all the Alexa-enabled smart-home devices configured already), you can just override the iPhone’s Siri and communicate with your favorite voice AI instead, telling it to order toilet paper for you, or shut the garage door as you leave the house.

Forget about individual speakers, you can now turn your smartphone into one, using this ceramic acoustic amplifier. Designed by Miguel Mojica, Wave Live is an acoustic amplifier that promises to pump up all your parties! At first glance, it looks like a simple decorative bowl, something you might place on your nightstand. However, once you place your smartphone in it, it translates and amplifies waves of music to create some powerful and resounding output. Featuring a surreal marble base, available in white and black, as well as in an intriguing striped pattern, the ceramic bowl showcases soft and minimal aesthetics. In fact, the amplifier even comes with a 30-day warranty! So, if you’re dissatisfied with the product, you can send it back, as long as it’s not chipped nor damaged!

nils_charging_cable_bracelet_layout_3

nils_charging_cable_bracelet_02

In comes the NILS, a small USB-based charging cable that was designed to be more than utilitarian. Sitting around your wrist, the NILS looks like a stylish bracelet, with its braided-leather design, but it conceals within it, a Kevlar-based charging cable. Made to be a fashion accessory with a strong functional purpose, the NILS is a bracelet when you want, and a charging cable when you need it. The USB and charger jacks dock into one another, forming a metal pendant of sorts at one end of the bracelet. Pull them apart, and the bracelet turns into a cable that you can use to either transfer data, or to juice your smartphone. Available in a variety of colors, the NILS uses vegan leather around its exterior, giving it waterproof/water resistant properties (so you could step out in the rain with your NILS bracelet and that wouldn’t be a problem). The USB buckle uses a magnetic closure to hold it in place, while the cable itself comes with a Kevlar weave, making it practically indestructible.

iQiki is a notification indicator that does exactly what it sounds like it does! It utilizes LED-based lighting to notify you of any calls, messages, emails, updates, or any other notifications that you may be receiving. You can easily place it in your pocket, clip it onto your jacket or shirt sleeve, place it on your work desk, and the 12-led based lights will notify you when you’ve received a notification! It allows you to focus on whatever you’re doing without having to consistently check your phone screen for any important updates.
