Cell Phone Screen Magnifier

Get a close look at this 14 inch screen magnifier that uhmm well.. magnifies your screen. Because with it you won’t need to get a close look at your phone because your screen will be…magnified. The, as Amazon calls it “14 inch Screen Magnifier for Cell Phone, Phone Screen Magnifier, 2022 Upgraded Version Screen Amplifier, Mobile Phone Magnifying Screen, Foldable Smartphone Screen Magnifier” (we’ll just go with screen magnifier for everyone’s sanity here), uses simple optics to make your smartphone’s image the size of an iPad.

Just place your phone in the back, slide out the screen and flip it up. Make sure to pop the legs out because legs are important for both humans and machines apparently. Now you’re basically at an iMax movie (if you stand really close and cough up $20 on your way into the room). It’s a simple design and the fact that it folds flat makes it easy to travel with. You can also use it as a stand for your phone without the screen. Not sure why you’d want to do this, but you could. It has a universal fit for most smartphones.

How big is it? Did you miss the chart above? Scroll up cause we ain’t typing out the numbers today. The manufacturer recommends sitting about 3-6 feet away. However this still might be a great gadget to bring on planes and sit it on the tray table. You don’t want to eat those dry cookies anyway. Great for seniors and kids too. Overall it seems like a pretty good deal for the price, just a simple gadget that does what it says and nothing more, nothing less.

Sleek MagSafe-compatible accessory turns your iPhone into a nifty DSLR camera with precise, tactile controls

A surefire way to absolutely annoy a photography purist is to bring up the DSLR vs. Smartphone debate. If there’s a group of people who absolutely hate smartphone cameras, after celebrities, it’s probably photography enthusiasts. While celebrities hate the fact that they can now randomly be photographed by anyone, anywhere, shutterbugs have a different gripe with smartphones – that they’re just not as precise, powerful, and hands-on as DSLR cameras.

However, it’s safe to say that there’s a certain detachment from reality there, because today, smartphone cameras account for nearly 90% of all photographs ever taken. Even YouTuber Marques Brownlee, who shoots all his videos in 8K on ridiculously expensive RED cameras, alludes to the fact that “the best camera is the one you have on you”, and that’s almost always your smartphone camera. Your smartphone camera’s image processing engine is arguably powerful enough to click photos as well as a DSLR, and the only thing really missing is precision and that hands-on experience… that’s where the Fjorden comes in.

The world’s first pocketable, professional iPhone camera grip adds professional-quality camera controls.

The Fjorden turns your iPhone into a hybrid DSLR. It physically snaps onto the back of your iPhone, giving you analog camera controls including a two-stage shutter button, a jog dial, a zoom slider, and even an extra multi-function button you can use to do stuff like trigger the flash.

The overall form is comfortably tactile and grippy (and comes with the same texture found on cameras), and orients the buttons in a way that’s intuitive and easy to use (so you don’t have to sprain your thumb to reach the shutter button while holding your phone with the same hand). Moreover, the actual physical buttons allow you to use the camera with gloves on, an understated-yet-impressive upgrade to the iPhone camera experience). Smartphones are sleek and portable, but try using the camera with one hand you risk serious nerve damage (or a broken phone). DSLRs, on the other hand, are ergonomically designed… but they don’t fit in your pocket, don’t have a selfie feature, and they don’t do 99% of the other things your smartphone can do. Fjorden finds the middle-ground between the two experiences, striving to create a no-compromise solution for both audiences. For the smartphone enthusiast, the Fjorden attachment is still portable and sleek (attached to the phone, it’s about as thick as an AirPods case, which means it’s still pocket-sized), and for the DSLR-junkie, it gives you the precise controls you need.

Aside from the tactile buttons, Fjorden’s own camera app is about as feature-laden as a DSLR’s interface, allowing you to manually control your settings, while still relying on the iPhone’s own features like Portrait Mode, HDR/Deep Fusion, and ProRAW. Moreover, the case is even designed to support Moment’s smartphone camera lenses, giving you about as much power, versatility, and control you could ask for… and some more.

The Fjorden device attaches to your phone either via a backplate that sticks to your phone, or its companion iPhone case using a quick-release clip. The clip-detail has a pivot-hinge that allows you to swivel the Fjorden 90°, letting you use it in both landscape and portrait mode, and the Fjorden even angles outwards, doubling as a kickstand for your phone.

The DSLR-controls are powered by a single CR2032 battery that lasts for 12 months, and while the controls work perfectly with Fjorden’s own camera app, they’re compatible with existing apps like Obscura and ProCamera (which notably has its own Night Mode – a feature missing from the Fjorden camera app for now), and the shutter button works with Apple’s native camera app.

The MagSafe-compatible case that comes as an optional add-on with your Fjorden allows you to easily pop the DSLR control panel out when you need to wirelessly charge your phone, and since the controls communicate with your iPhone via Bluetooth, they can be used remotely too (without being attached to your phone) for those perfect ‘Shot On iPhone’ moments. Each Fjorden device also comes with a 2-year warranty, which really hits the sweet spot because you can easily upgrade your iPhone to the newer model and still use the Fjorden with the new phone!

Keep Your iPhone 6/6S Safe with a Peel Case

Peel iPhone 6-6S Case 01

Knowing just how much iPhone 6S costs, it would be a pity to buy one and not protect it using a case as inconspicuous as the one made by Peel.

The iPhone 6 may not have the best build quality ever (remember Bendgate?), but at least it ranks well in the design department. The aircraft-grade aluminum used in the iPhone 6S seems to have done away with that problem, as well, so in this particular model’s case, we’re left to admire the design without having to worry about the device bending in the back pocket. The problem with owning an expensive smartphone is that we’re often confronted with a choice: protect it properly by using a bulky case, or leave it bare, risking to get it damaged? Peel made a case that enables you to thoroughly protect your iPhone 6 or 6S without the added bulge of a massive case. For the next three days, you can find it in our store, Walyou Deals, at a discounted price.

In old mobile phones, the display was really the only part we needed to be careful about, but with modern smartphones that often retail for hundreds of dollars, we have to pay extra attention not to get them scratched, or even worse, drop them on a hard surface. We often trade protection for bulkiness, but that’s no longer the case with Peel’s case, which retains the shape and form of the smartphone, while also keeping it safe from accidental drops.

Measuring only 0.35mm in thickness, the Peel case is designed to be virtually invisible to the naked eye. Knowing as how both the iPhone 6 and the 6S have a protruding camera, you might think that this couldn’t possibly be protected when using such a case, but in fact the Peel case covers it with a subtle lip.

It should be noted that this Peel case is only compatible with the iPhone 6/6S, so if you’re using another model, you might have to look for other options. However, if you decide to buy one, you can choose between two color options: Space Gray and Gold, depending on the color of your iPhone. After all, you wouldn’t want the case to be in stark contrast with the smartphone’s body, now would you?

The Peel iPhone 6/6S case can be purchased from Walyou Deals for $24.99, a $5 discount from the original retail price. Granted, there are cheaper iPhone cases out there, but they won’t offer anything near the grade of protection provided by the Peel one, and that while being almost invisible to the naked eye. The product is shipped for free to addresses from all over the world, but any import taxes are solely your responsibility. If you place an order within the next 3 days, while the deal is still on, you can expect have it delivered between February 13 and 16.

Spycup iPhone Hidden Camera Helps Activists Spread the News

Spycup iPhone Hidden Camera 01

The safety of activists and journalists who report from war zones or dangerous areas, in general, is put to a risk the second they want to start filming or photographing. Spycup conceals iPhones so that journalists can safely take photos of whatever it is the world should know about.

Authors of revolting things seem to become even more infuriated the moment they see someone filming them, and that often leads to the destruction of the video equipment and the harm of the person filming. This seems to be the case more and more often recently, so activists need to find a way to make their smartphones more inconspicuous. Spycup, touted by many as the “weirdest iPhone accessory,” is one of the best ways to turn smartphones into something that doesn’t raise awareness as to what people are actually doing.

Ildar Khakimov, the creator of the Spycup, retells how this iPhone accessory came to be:

“The story of Spy Cup began in Taiji Japan, where I went as an cameraman to film the annual dolphin hunt (depicted in the movie “The Cove”). This is where conservationists like Sea Shepherd converge to protect the cetaceans like dolphins and pilot whales and that are hunted by the local fishermen.

I saw some disturbing things and realized how much good organizations like Sea Shepherd do to protect these animals. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after interviewing Melissa Sehgal who was heading up the Sea Shepherd team it became clear their motivations are pure and their tactics drive real results.

One day when we were watching the hunt unfold I was approached by a couple of officers which were gathering information on visiting foreigners.

I was invited into the police station. The problem is that just a few days before my interpreter got arrested and ended up spending 53 days in Jail. So when I get to the station I become extremely concerned for my safety.

They promptly inform me that I’m not allowed to film inside the station.

While sitting there I realized that I have the perfect recording device right in my hands, which is my iPhone, but I have no way of using it without them knowing.

This is when it hit me: There’s got to be a better way! Coffee cup is the perfect everyday object in which we can conceal a recording device without raising suspicion. I believe that Spy Cup can revolutionize the field of citizenship journalism.”

Due to physical limitations, Spycup only works with iPhone 5/5c/5s and 6/6s, but support for the 6+ and Android smartphones might be implemented in the future. Basically, all that activists and journalists need to do is place their iPhone inside the Spycup, where the camera has visibility to the exterior through a one-side mirror. Taking photos and filming is made possible with the help of a wireless remote control that connects via Bluetooth to the smartphone, thus enabling people to report the news without feeling endangered.

Khamikov turned to Kickstarter to raise the funds necessary for mass-producing the Spycup. The campaign proved to be a success, and the $5,000 CAD funding goal was reached not long after the project’s debut on the crowdfunding website. At press time, there were still 18 days left until the campaign’s end, so if you are an activist or journalist and think that the Spy Cup could help you stay safe, head over to the Kickstarter page and back the project with at least $27 CAD. Items are expected to be shipped in May 2016.

Portable Telescope Adds 80X Optical Zoom to Your iPhone 6

Super Spy Ultra High Power Zoom Telescope with Tripod 01

Ever wanted to get into astrophotography, but couldn’t find the perfect smartphone camera for that? Well, that’s maybe because smartphones aren’t really made for that, at least not without an add-on such as this portable telescope.

In the past few years, smartphone cameras have seen a lot of accessories for macro photography and fish-eye lens effects, but no one has ever considered making a telescope that attaches to iPhones for on-the-go telephoto shots. Brando’s Super Spy telescope lens is an iPhone 6 camera accessory that’ll help people take photos at up to 80x optical zoom.

As its name suggests, this lens is not meant entirely for astrophotography, but rather for spying on neighbors, military bases and such. In case it wasn’t obvious enough, the Super Spy telescope lens works out of the box and is a plug-and-play (of sorts) device, being ready to use right after installation.

The Super Spy telescope lens measures 395mm in length when extended, and 88mm in diameter, at its thickest point, but the manufacturer doesn’t disclose the weight of this camera accessory. It can be used without a stand, but I imagine that it is quite hefty and doing so would make your hands tire after a while, so employing the included tripod might be better.

The kit also includes a black case for the iPhone that enables 360-degree shifting, and a velvet pocket, to make sure that the lens is protected from dust. Not sure how it would withstand physical damage, as a velvet pocket couldn’t possibly protect it against that.

All in all, the telescope lens could prove useful for animal observation and traveling, but I can’t possibly imagine anyone using something like this at a concert. The manufacturer, on the other hand, lists this as one of the possible applications of the telescope lens.

This particular model is compatible with the iPhone 6 exclusively, but Brando also makes other models that play nicely with Samsung’s Galaxy line. The telescope lens is available on the Brando’s website for $220, which is quite a steep price for a camera accessory. The manufacturer seems to have taken advantage from this point of view, as the Super Spy telescope lens currently has no competition.

Seek Thermal Camera Gives You Night Vision on the Go

Seek Thermal Camera

There are plenty of situations when you wish you could see in the dark, and the Seek Thermal Camera was built with those exact situations in mind.

Available as an accessory for iPhones and Android smartphones, Thermal is a camera that enables to feel at least 33% like the Predator. Let’s face it, thermal vision is not only useful when hearing noises while walking down an empty street, but also when confronted with household problems. In fact, Seek Thermal suggests that the camera they developed could have such applications as safety and security, home improvement, cooking and boating. Pet owners

Seek Thermal Camera is by no means the first, nor the only device of its kind, as the Flir One personal thermal imager provides the iPhone with similar features. There surely are other manufacturers of similar devices out there, but for the time being, only Seek and Flir are fighting for the top spot. Obviously, as the competition stiffens, customers feel more appreciated, since companies are striving to come up with innovations. On top of that, the price of the components used for building such devices drops in time as the demand increases.

“Seek’s breakthrough technology lets people see heat for the first time, something that only
government agencies and companies could afford in the past. The Seek camera not only gives average consumers the capabilities in home improvement and safety and security that only professionals used to have, but we are also especially excited about the hundreds
of new use cases for thermal that our camera will enable,” pointed out Seek Thermal CEO, Robert Acker.

Since it is available in a portable format, Seek Thermal Camera is compact enough to carry in your pocket, when you don’t use it. The manufacturer makes no difference between iPhone and Android users, and offers the camera at the same price – $199. The difference is made by the connectors, as the iPhone one comes with a Lightning plug, while the Android one sports microUSB, and the companion apps. Both can be purchased on the Seek Thermal website. It should be noted that the camera is not compatible with some cases. If that happens, you need to either remove the smartphone’s case or use an extender.

Peek-i Turns the iPhone into a Spy Camera

Peak-I iPhone Camera Accessory

Spy cameras must have become a fetish, as there are many people who tremble with emotion at the idea of catching others in the act while doing something compromising. For those people, the Peek-i must be one of the best iPhone camera accessories ever invented.

Not few are the ones who fantasize about being James Bond, the modern Sherlock Holmes or Austin Powers. However, one of the abilities people must have in order to become a spy is seeing around the corners, or at least at very wicked angles compared to where the camera is pointed. The Peek-i iPhone camera accessory enables shooting at such angles, and thus, helps making dreams come true.

More precisely, Peek-i reflects images and enables iPhone’s camera to take pictures at a 90-degree angle. After attaching it to the iPhone with the help of an included magnet, the Peek-i can be rotated in any direction, not just to the left or to the right.

At the moment, Peek-i is featured on Indiegogo, as its developers thought that crowdfunding is the way to go. They set a $1,000 goal there, and at press time, it was beat by 2,235%. That’s quite a feat in the crowdfunding world, as other projects struggle to reach their goal. The small price of the Peek-i must have affected the performance of the campaign as it only costs $15. You also have the option to buy 2 such camera accessories for $25. There are plenty of other combo packs, so as long as you are willing to back the project, there’s an option for you.

The stickers also play a decorative role, so if you don’t want need the spy cam all the time, Peek-i is still useful somehow. Sticker packs can be bought separately for $5 a pack of 30, or you can get them with your Peek-i, assuming that you opted for a bigger combo pack.

One thing you should be careful about is the possibility of getting sued for taking pictures in areas where photographing is forbidden. Also, taking pictures of people without their permission is a bit wrong, so you might want to use this tiny gadget on your friends. After all, you don’t want to annoy the wrong kind of people with an iPhone camera accessory.

One of the biggest downsides to gaming on the go with an iPhone or an iPad is that the on-screen controls for many games aren’t that great. Some games use motion controls, but a lot of mobile gamers don’t care for motion controls either. A new case concept has turned up called the GameCase that will add real controls to your iPhone or iPad.
