Want to flaunt your new iPhone? How about this crossbody holster that holds your phone and cards

Pockets. Sometimes you’ve got them, sometimes you don’t, sometimes you wear a jacket and leave stuff in the pockets only to discover them a year later. Or sometimes you’ve got just enough pockets that you need to put your smartphone along with your keys, leaving them vulnerable to scratches. This isn’t really a referendum on pockets, it’s sort of a scenario-building effort that makes the Moshi Crossbody Phone Holster look like a pretty sensible product to have. If you’re running low on pockets, or if you identify as a hipster who doesn’t believe in sticking to conventions, Moshi’s vegan-leather crossbody holster gives you a perfect spot to stash your phone as well as cards and cash. The holster sits diagonally around your torso and makes it much easier to access your phone and cards while on the go. It also makes you look like a bit of an avant-garde person of culture.

Designed in California (quite like the iPhone shown inside it), the Moshi Crossbody Holster is a slick little piece of EDC that carries your phone as well as your cards. Perfect when you want to head out for a quick coffee run or to meet a friend (when you don’t need to carry anything more than your phone, wallet, and keys), the Crossbody Holster serves as a pretty stylish fashion accessory that’s just as functional.

The holster comes built out of vegan leather and is wide enough to hold all sorts of phones (from the smaller ones to the larger Pro/Max/Plus ones too). A bifold-style magnetic flap on the front lets you store 3 cards for easy access, which means you don’t really need to splurge on a MagSafe wallet that may accidentally slip off your phone.

The vegan leather build is weather-resistant and abrasion-resistant. It even comes with an anti-bacterial NanoShield coating to kill germs upon contact, and is equipped with an adjustable and removable crossbody strap. For now, the Moshi Crossbody Phone Holster comes in just black (although I’d love to see spunky color variants), and like all of Moshi’s products, is backed by a 2-year warranty. However, if you buy the holster of Moshi’s website, it automatically gets enrolled in Moshi’s 10-year Global Warranty Program.

The Symbus Q wirelessly charges, provides extra ports, connects devices, and fits into your pocket

The Moshi Symbus Q is a literal two-bird-one-stone scenario, with the added benefit of the stone being a stylish rectangle that’s compact enough to fit right into your backpack. The Moshi Symbus Q provides you with a way to wirelessly charge your smartphone (even through rugged cases) while giving your laptop extra ports to work with, namely a 4K HDMI, Ethernet, and 2x USB 3.0 ports. Additionally, it comes with a USB Type-C input that supplies it with power, and a USB Type-C output that you can plug into your laptop to fast-charge it too.

The Symbus Q does a couple of useful things and does it well. Its advanced Q-coil technology allows it to wirelessly charge your smartphone through cases as much as 5mm thick (so you could charge your phone through a Pop-socket). The wireless charging surface is a plush fabric that cushions your phone without scratching it, paired with a non-slip pattern printed on it that holds your phone in place. The rest of the Symbus Q is a nifty aluminum body that looks great alongside your laptop, while ultimately dissipating heat to remain cool as it juggles all its activities, whether it’s the ability to give your laptop an external 4K display, or super-fast 1000mbps speeds via a wired internet connection, or just the ability to plug your USB drives into your Type-C laptop or ultrabook. A perfect multitasking metallic cuboid for the multitasking professional.

IRL: Moshi’s Digits gloves and the Nokia Lumia 620 on Telus

Welcome to IRL, an ongoing feature where we talk about the gadgets, apps and toys we're using in real life and take a second look at products that already got the formal review treatment.

Spring may have sprung two weeks ago, but believe us, it's still winter somewhere. (Ed note: I'm typing this from underneath an NVIDIA Snuggie -- Dana.) In fact, Darren's had a reason to test out some touchscreen-friendly gloves, even in his southerly state of North Carolina. Up north, our own Jon Fingas has been playing with the Lumia 620 on Canada's Telus networks. No complaints from him about the 40-degree temps, though.

Moshi iGlaze Case for MacBook Air Lets You Change Colors Without a Paintjob

While I’m fine with the aluminum finish of my MacBook Pro, there are others who just long for the look of the old plastic MacBook again. Well instead, you can now customize the look of your MacBook Air by getting the Moshi iGlaze, which will change the color of your Mac to a nice retro white or black.

The current aluminum builds of the MacBook line are pretty awesome in my book, but if you like the polycarbonate white or black look, then this is the case to get. The ultra-thin two part case works slips over both the top and bottom of the MacBook Air and it will protect your baby while not making it too thick. The bottom half has raised rubber feet, and there’s nothing blocking the vent which should help keep your system cool.

In addition to black and white, the iGlaze is also available in transparent if you just want to protect your MacBook without changing its color. The Moshi iGlaze costs $55(USD) for the 11-inch MacBook Air and $60 for the 13-inch version. They are available on Moshi’s website.

Moshi iGlaze iPad VersaCover: The Origami Cover That Goes Both Ways

The Apple Smart Cover works reasonably well to prop up the iPad, but if that’s not enough for you, then check out the Moshi iGlaze with VersaCover. It basically works in a similar manner to the Smart Cover, except that users can fold it in more ways to get the most out of it.

The Moshi iGlaze with VersaCover was unveiled at CTIA last week and it will allow you to prop up your tablet in portrait or landscape orientation by flexing it at various fold points. The cover attaches to your iPad using magnets, and has a soft microfiber finish to protect your screen. I’ve always thought that the Smart Cover was nice, but a bit limited in terms of the angles you can use it at.

The VersaCover package includes an iGlaze, which is a clear backing case for your iPad to protect it from scratches too. It will be available this June and will sell for $60 (USD).
