The Bristlr App Helps You Meet Fine, Hairy Folks

Bristlr app

What do you look for in a potential partner? Some people choose personality over looks, while others prioritize the amount of facial fuzz their potential partner has. The latter sounds strange, I know, but an app that aims to match people up based on beards (or the lack thereof) actually exists. It’s called Bristlr, and it connects “those with beards to those who want to stroke beards.”

Catchy tagline, eh? It’s not your average dating app, but then again, if your criteria for choosing a partner lies mostly on their beards, then you don’t exactly have run-of-the-mill needs either.

Bristlr was developed by John Kershaw as a joke, but the app is currently in open beta-testing. You can check it out here.

Can’t Move on? Match.com Will Match You up with Someone Who Looks Like Your Ex

Just because something sounds like a bad idea from the get-go doesn’t mean companies won’t offer it, whatever it may be. Oh, like helping you find someone to date that looks like your ex, for starters.

Online dating site Match.com has teamed up with Three Day Rule, to use facial recognition software to offer you just that. Just supply them with an image of your ex and they’ll take care of the rest. All for a hefty fee of $5,000.

It might be more worthwhile (and worth your money!) to find someone else to date based on the merits of their personality, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some people actually signed up for this service.
