This sleek table-lamp doubles up as a bedside tray for organizing all your belongings

Silvon, the science-backed startup known for elevating ordinary home goods introduces TRAY Table Light, a new lighting design created in partnership with Gantri to encourage better bedtime rituals.

Designed to help declutter your nightstand as well as help you de-clutter your mind, the TRAY light serves as an ambient lamp that also holds and organizes your bedside items like your spectacles, water bottle, phone, etc. It features an accordion-inspired lampshade that glows with a fluted/banded design, atop which sits an opaque tray that holds your belongings. At 9.25 x 9.25 inches, it fits comfortably on most bedside tables, and offers enough surface area for all your belongings. When the lamp’s switched on, your objects are cast in a diffused light that bounces around your room. Without creating any glare or appearing too bright, the TRAY Table Light lets you easily spot and access your belongings and even see clearly around your bedroom.

The TRAY Table Light comes as a collaborative effort between Silvon and Gantri. Like all of Gantri’s lamps, the TRAY is 3D printed out of the proprietary Gantri Plant Polymer (GPP) and treated with a matte finish. The inside of the lamp is fitted with a 6W LED bulb, and the TRAY also has a dimmer switch integrated into its TPE electrical cord.

The TRAY joins Gantri’s vast collection of minimally expressive designer-made lamps as perhaps the first ever lamp to also have a functional purpose. Place it on your bedside table and it transforms into an illuminating organizer. Or hook it to your mantelpiece to transform it into an ambient living-room light + keyring bowl!

Harber London’s leather folio gives you a dapper way to store all your work accessories and tech!

As functional as your laptop backpack, but infinitely classier, Harber London’s NOMAD is a nifty leather folio that’s perfect for storing all your work belongings in one, well-organized place. It comes tailor-made to fit the iPad Pro 11″ (and any of the smaller sizes too), and has dedicated spaces for your Apple Pencil, iPhone, charging cables, earphones, and other EDC accessories you’d need to carry around with you.

Handmade by expert craftsmen in Spain, the NOMAD comes fabricated from full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide. It condenses your backpack into a smaller, sleeker sleeve you can either carry under your arm, around your shoulder, or even strung on your back as a backpack. The leather exterior extends to the interiors too, while the pockets for your iPad and phone come with a woolen inner lining to prevent them from getting scratched or damaged over time. Pouches, rings, zippered pockets, and tabs allow you to organize all your other stuff, from tech, to stationery, to EDC. Everything fits in its own compartment, allowing you to carry all your belongings with you while looking incredibly dapper! The NOMAD comes in 4 color variants (which promise to patina beautifully with time) and you can customize its size to fit your iPad perfectly!

These customizable backpack grid organizers are every stationery lover’s best travel partners

We all have our own personal checklists while stuffing our backpacks before leaving the house. I know I can’t leave without the paperback I’m currently reading, my writing pad, wallet, point-and-shoot, hand sanitizer, chapstick, keys, cell phone. And that’s just for my walk to the grocery store. I mostly rely on those free tote bags you get with magazine subscriptions – they get the job done, but by the time I get home, digging for my keys buried underneath everything else gets tiring. Fritsch-Durisotti, a creative studio based in Paris, launched their line of backpacks and companion organizers, Fil & Fog so that we can bring our own “little universe of personal items” with us anywhere we go, leaving the hassles of clutter and disorganization at home.

The designers behind Fil & Fog set out to construct a backpack built to last and accompanying organizers that can keep up with our passions, no matter where they might take us. For Fritsch-Durisotti’s Fil & Fog, passion is found in its construction. TPU coating is applied to every backpack and organizer, which enhances both products’ impermeability factors and also allows room for untraditional, but effective textile assembly methods. High-frequency welding, for instance, a plastic welding process that relies on high-frequency electric fields, gives Fil & Fog’s backpack and organizers their high resistance threshold and water-tightness. Elastic bands come with each organizer so that they are completely customizable for each user’s needs – just weave the elastic bands through the laser-cut grids found inside each organizer and store all your items.

Once every organizer is finalized, they easily slip into a Fil & Fog backpack’s bottom compartment, which has enough room to store multiple different sized organizers at once. The backpack itself is manufactured using polyester for the bag’s fabric and recycled nylon for its lining, giving the backpack an entirely waterproof edge. An expandable top compartment can also be joined with the backpack’s lower compartment, giving the backpack an overall, generous volume of 24 liters. Like a Russian doll, the backpack holds so much more than meets the eye. Whether you’re gearing up for that solo camping trip you’ve been looking forward to all quarantine or just hitting up a local beach to spend the day, Fil & Fog is designed to make the act of carrying our passions feel a lot lighter – “Fil & Fog offers agile solutions to organize, pack, and carry the stuff we need and the stuff we love. A timeless companion that invites us to go back to what is important to us.”

LEGO-inspired concrete organizer is modular, holds your belongings, and even docks your phone!

This bauble-box is brutalist beauty at its best! The Mesh, by Mexico-based Shift is a concrete organizer that allows you to store all your small belongings and customize how you store them too! Designed to work well in any space, the Mesh can be placed on your work-desk, bedside table, mantelpiece, dressing table, or even your bathroom. The concrete setup comes with a toothed base, and containers with notches that dock right into the grooves/teeth. The layout opportunities are endless, and you can even use the grooved base to route cables, rest stationery, and even dock your phone! The concrete components cone in a variety of monochrome hues, and blend into the decor well, whether it’s your desktop, dressing table, or the shelf right beside your main door. The fact that the containers (and base) are slip-cast in porous concrete means the Mesh doesn’t mind a little bit of water, making it ideal for the bathroom, or even to plant tiny succulents around your workspace! Whether it’s your tech, stationery, accessories, EDC, keys, plants, or even toiletries, the Mesh does a pretty remarkable job of storing your stash and allowing you to arrange them exactly the way you like. Plus, the modular nature of the Mesh means you could easily expand your storage by purchasing additional units!

Star Wars Space Slug Desk Organizer: The Pencil Strikes Back

Did you know the giant space slug that lived inside that asteroid in The Empire Strikes Back was called an Exogorth? Me either. You learn something new every day. Well, now you can have your very own Exogorth to keep on your desktop.

The guys at prop company Regal Robot created this awesome sculpture of the massive monster as it pokes its head out of its rocky home attempting to eat whatever might land in its gaping mouth. The resin desk organizer is based on detailed scan of the original movie prop Exogorth, and each one is meticulously handpainted. Of course what really makes it all come together is the Millennium Falcon pencil topper which makes it look like Han and Chewie’s ship is beating a hasty retreat from almost certain doom.

The Space Slug desk organizer is a really special collectible for an Star Wars fan, and is available for $99 from Regal Robot. And remember, the next time you see a cave in a science fiction movie, there’s a pretty good chance there’s a nasty creature living inside of it, so it’s probably not the best place to hide.

This leather and felt organizer offers a classier alternative to stashing cables in your backpack

Somewhere down the road, we grew up and stopped using pencil-boxes, but we never stopped needing a nice kit to store our small trinkets. TheBlackCanvas’s leather and felt organizer is most accurately described as a ‘stationery box for an adult’s modern stationery’. It comes with a fabulous looking veggie-tanned leather outer and a felt-lined inner that lets you stash a power bank or hard drive, as well as store cables, earphones, pen-drives, or even a stylus in its loops. Fold it over, secure the push-clip in place, and you’ve got a neat organizer with all your work-essentials and productivity EDC all contained in a rather premium, more contemporarily-relevant ‘stationery box’ that you can either carry in your hand or slip right into your backpack for later use!

The Orbitkey Nest is a stationery-box for adults… from the future

Back when I was in school (which was surely a couple of decades ago), I held pride in three things. A. My schoolbag, B. My lunchbox, and C. My stationery-box. It’s 2020 and I’ve grown up quite a bit, but fundamentally, I still love sporting a great laptop bag, and I never resist the urge to put up artsy photos of the food I eat on Instagram. In those decades, the stationery box has receded into the background, but with the Orbitkey Nest, I’d say it’s making a comeback.

The Orbitkey Nest reinterprets the stationery box by acting as a storage container for not pencils and erasers, but for your EDC. Designed to complement your tech-filled life, the Nest is perfect for storing your chargers, cables, AirPods, hard-disks, SD cards, pen-drives, etc. It helps keep your workplace organized not just by containing your tech accessories, but also by allowing you to dock/rest your belongings on it. The Nest’s upper surface comes with a slight indentation, perfect for resting your wallet, keys, or watch, while a dedicated zone even acts as a wireless charger for your phone.

Made from beautiful materials that give it a contemporary touch, the Orbitkey Nest comes with a top-grain leather upper, a polycarbonate shell, and a nylon fabric base layer that allows it to complement as well as contain your belongings and lifestyle. Movable dividers on the inside help you distribute the Nest’s inner space, customizing it for your belongings, while a mesh layer on the inside of the Nest’s lid lets you hold smaller items like SD cards, SIM cards, keys, or even your work ID cards or travel cards. On the outside, the Nest comes with an elastic band closure that even doubles up as a holder for your pen, Apple pencil, or third-party stylus, and a 10W wireless charger lets you easily juice up your phone, earphones, or even your watch simply by plugging the Nest in and resting your device on top.

At just 1.6 inches thick, and designed to roughly be the size of a stationery-kit, the Nest easily fits into backpacks, keeping your items organized both inside and outside your bag. Truth be told, it’s a product (and a category) that’s eluded adulthood, even though we do carry stationery and other items to work. The Nest reminds us of that, and reintroduces humans to the joy of containing and organizing your belongings in a box that’s slick, functional, and frankly, pretty good-looking!

Deskape’s minimal desk organizers pair perfectly with your anodized-aluminum tech

Little did Jobs know how much a simple material choice for a smartphone would spawn an entire era of metallurgy, perhaps comparable to the Bronze Age. Aluminum, the most abundant metal on Earth, can be found practically everywhere. It’s used in furniture, in construction, in food-packaging, and in consumer electronics, arguably by the tonne. Deskape’s hope is to seamlessly complement the use of aluminum in consumer electronics, by creating a series of incredibly classy and minimalist desk organizers, designed to uplift the workspace, and unite it in the appreciation of Aluminum.

Designed as a set (but also available individually exclusively for Kickstarter backers), the Deskape series comprises a cable organizer, pen-stand, card-holder, and a paperweight tray. Designed with a minimal aesthetic, featuring simple cross-sections that make the products look like they’ve been extruded in their shape, each product serves two purposes. One, the purpose given to it, i.e., being a pen-stand, or organizing your charging cables and wires, and Two, matching the metallic appeal of your workspace, with your laptop, external keyboard, trackpad, etc. Deskape’s products are all about bringing both functionality and elegance to your work-area, with the added flair of being so exquisite looking that people are sure to take a second and third look… quite like the way Jobs had anticipated people would react looking at his aluminum-made, sleek, perfection-chasing Apple products!

Re:ease doesn’t organize your desk. It redesigns it.

Here’s my desk scenario. I have a pencil holder from Amazon, a stapler from Maped, a hole-punch from Kangaro, and an off-brand planter with a mini succulent in it. It’s a collection of products I love individually, but combine them together and they end up making my workspace look like there’s a whole lot going on. That’s where the problem lies. Desk items aren’t always designed to be a part of a family. They’re just made to be good products that look wonderful on shelves, and perform well enough for you to not have any complaints… and often become a decorative element in your overhead #workspace photo on Instagram.

Marc Stueber recognized that this mild annoyance wasn’t just visual. It ended up reflecting his mindset and affecting his productivity. The stationery on his desk, even though hardly used in a paper-and-pen-less world, were necessary at some times, and a hindrance at others. This led him to develop a more concise, well-organized family of products that would sit on his work-desk. Each product followed a similar design language, and looked good too. Together, these products would form an organized block on the workspace, clearing it of all the clutter, and making you feel much more positive and productive.

Re:ease channels a minimal Scandinavian/Nordic design, with its use of wood and white, and of geometric shapes that come together perfectly. A modular block of all your office necessities, the Re:ease features hole-punch, sharpener, stapler, tape-dispenser, planter, a charging dock for your smartphone, and a rather well-organized pen-stand that holds pens, pencils, highlighters, and notes, all in individual slots. All these elements look great individually, but more importantly, come together on the same workspace to create a clean, modular unit that gives you all the functionality you need without the visual clutter. Moreover, each unit even boasts of a magnetic base that lets them snap together to form arrangements that suit your needs, and ultimately the clean, organized workspace that YOU want to build.

Jigsaw CatchAll Docking Station is the Perfect Place to Keep All Your Bedside Stuff

If you’re like me, you’ve got all kinds of crap sitting on your bedside table – a phone, watch, charging cables, and other miscellaneous stuff. I always find myself reaching over in the middle of the night to check the time on my phone or watch too, and there’s usually a bunch of fumbling around in the dark. What I need is a nice way to organize all of that stuff.

Look no further than Jigsaw Furnishing’s CatchAll bedside docks. Each of their docks is made from two pieces of custom cut, high quality plywood that interlock, and provides places to dock your phone, hang your watch, hold a wallet, keys, jewelry, spare change, and a pen. I’m sure you could figure out other uses for it as well.

If you’ve got an Apple Watch, they make a special version with a cutout for its magnetic charging cable too. I definitely need that one.

Best of all, Jigsaw’s docks are reasonably priced, going for just $29.99 each. You can find them for sale over on their Etsy shop now.
