The Peanut Butter Pump Solves Another First World Problem

Peanut butter is one of our favorite foods. People love it. Peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter in our chocolate. Hell, we even give it to animals so it can make their mouths sticky, so we can film YouTube videos that make them look like they’re talking. But I guess it’s just too much work for some people to dig around inside the jar with a knife and spread it. And for those folks, there’s the Peanut Butter Pump.

It’s exactly what it sounds like – a pump that dispenses peanut butter. Patent-pending of course. Inventor Andy Scherer obviously thinks it is a game changer. It uses a sliding “airlock” mechanism to get the peanut butter into the pump and dispense a fixed amount of spread. You can control the thickness you want. This also scrapes the sides of the jar, so you can get every last bit. Although I wonder how much is wasted in the pump itself.

It comes with two nozzles: a sandwich nozzle for evenly spreading the sticky stuff, and a stream nozzle for dispensing peanut butter tubes for snacks. It even has measurements marked on the pump. If you are crazy about peanut butter, this is the kitchen gadget for you.

You can pre-order the Peanut Butter Pump on Indiegogo by dropping $25 or more.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Lip Balm: You Got Your Peanut Butter Lips on My Chocolate Lips!

Reese’s peanut butter cups are one of the most evil things on earth – not because they taste bad, but because they’re so addictive that you can’t just eat a couple of them and be satisfied. Halloween is the worst, since you’ll end up buying a bag “for the kids,” and end up gorging yourself on them while you wait for the doorbell to ring.

Fortunately, there’s a solution! Now you can enjoy the flavor of Reese’s all the time without the carbs, fat, and calories.

These Reese’s lip balms are based on the exact flavors of the milk chocolate and peanut butter that Reese’s uses in their delectable candy. For $12(USD) over at Firebox, you’ll get a set of tasty and aromatic lip balms, along with a presentation tin, so they make a great gift too.

Just don’t try to eat them all in one setting like I did with those Reese’s minis last Halloween.

Jar-with-a-Twist Eliminates Peanut Butter Fingers

I recently bought one of those elongated spoons because I got tired of ending up with sticky hands all the time after getting the last few spoonfuls of peanut butter from the jar.

I’m sure many of you have a problem with the same thing. The good news is that this first-world problem might soon be resolved. How? By re-doing the jar.

Jar with a Twist

You might be wondering, how do you re-do a jar? How do you “redesign” something that’s been used for many, many decades already?

jar with a twist 2

Just ask the folks behind the Jar-with-a-Twist. They came up with the twist-jar that you’re supposed to twist so its contents are slowly “raised” from the jar so you can swipe at it more easily with your spoon or knife. It’s sort of like a giant lipstick, but for your peanut butter, salsa or jelly.

Its creators hope to make the jar affordable enough for mass production so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of having a jar that twists up.

Dogsbutter: Because Dogs Want Peanut Butter, Too

Dogsbutter

Dogs can eat regular human peanut butter, although in moderation. But if you want to give your canine best friend a treat without fear of causing allergies or making it sick, then give it peanut butter that’s especially formulated for dogs. Aptly called Dogsbutter, this creamy, peanut butter-flavored spread can be enjoyed slathered on your dog’s favorite biscuits or on your fingers.

Each jar is notably pricier than regular human peanut butter at $10, but if you love your dog as much as you love yourself, then price wouldn’t even be an issue.
