Play Doh Poop Troop

Before we even get into it, let me make this clear- yes this is a real actual legit official product that you can buy now and not some joke concept or Photoshop job. That said, Play Doh has finally gotten their sh!t together and realized that kids are going to be turning their product into little poops anyway so they might as well sell a set that capitalizes on that. The Play Doh Poop Troop Set encourages kids to play with poop. It’s a set of 12 cans of various poop and “poop” colored Play Doh along with enough accessories to humanize the play feces as if they’re little Mr. Pooptato Heads.

Has Play Doh gone too far with this or is it pure genius? Maybe it’s both. Sure, kids of all ages love the poop emoji but there’s a difference between any other product and something like Play Doh which is pretty similar looking to ACTUAL POOP. Possibly hijinks may ensure BUT kids are going to freakin’ love this. Kids love Play Doh. Kids love googly eyes. Kids love poop. The math just adds up (1 and 1 and 1 is 3, source: The Beatles), so we’re calling this one a winner.

Play-Doh Drops a Deuce with Their Poop Emoji Playset

So this is where we are in the 21st century. No flying car in the garage, no robot serving me beer at home, no transporter beams… and now we have a toy that teaches our kids to play with poop. This is the world we live in, folks. This new toy is called the Play-Doh Poop Troop playset, and it’s the sh*t.

For $14.99, kids get twelve cans of Play-Doh, and four of them are brown naturally. It also comes with over 50 accessories so you can dress your Play-Doh poop up Mr. Potato Head style. According to the photo, there’s a dog turd too. How long until this is normalized so much that kids start playing with real poop?

Actually, I want to get in on this poop toy action. I’m going to market a new line of poop-themed toys under the brand “E. coli”. Our first product is a fast-paced board game called “Dire-Rhea.” Should be a real floater for our company, but you never know, it may just stink. We have new products every Turds-day.

Come on guys, don’t let your kids play with poop, fake or otherwise. It’s called dignity. Let them have some.

Hasbro Toy Fans Getting First HASCON Convention

Do you or your kids love Transformers? How about Magic The Gathering? Or My Little Pony? Well, you’re in luck, because this year, Hasbro is kicking off their first ever HASCON – a family-friendly convention for fans of the company’s many awesome toys and games.

The show runs from September 8 to 10 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI, and will feature exhibits with toys from popular lines like NERF, Play-Doh, Dungeons & Dragons, and GI Joe. Also expect lots of cool licensed toys from the Marvel and Star Wars universes.

Among the attractions will be a collection of props from the Transformers movies, mingling opportunities with My Little Pony characters, a NERF arena and NERF Modulus building area, a Play-Doh test kitchen, and more. There will also be tons of photo opportunities and hands-on play activities. Add-on or VIP tickets get you access to more activities, including panels with franchise celebrities and creators, movie sneak peaks, dinners, and much more.

You can buy tickets now on the HASCON website. Single day tickets are $30 for kids and $60 for adults, and a three-day pass is $75 for kids and $165 for adults. For those wanting the full VIP treatment, those tickets are quite a bit more, with kids tickets going for $214 and adult tickets going for $642.

Play-Doh App Turns Your Creations into Animated Characters

Play-Doh is a fun toy for kids, but their creations really don’t last long. They get turned into something else or dry out and break. Well, now they can be preserved forever inside Hasbro’s new app that transforms your Play-Doh creations into animated characters.

The Play-Doh Touch Shape to Life Studio will be available this fall for $40(USD) and it is the next step in Play-Doh evolution. While it includes a bunch of Play-Doh and stampers, it’s focused around a new app that turns kid’s creations into digital characters using an iPhone or iPad’s camera. Simply photograph your Play-Doh creation against a white background, so that the app can capture it and turn it into a 3D digital character that kids can interact with.

Inside the app, the character can explore different worlds, jump over obstacles, and collect power-ups somewhat like a Super Mario level. To access other worlds and activities, kids can use some included stampers to create characters and shapes to unlock new content. The app will be available in the iTunes App Store for free, but additional content will only be available as paid upgrades.

Interestingly, scanned objects don’t have to be made from Play-Doh either. If your kid has a favorite tiny toy they’d like to bring into the app, just stick it in front of the camera. There’s no online sharing, so your kids will be safe from inappropriate content and parents don’t have to worry.

Your kids will have a lot more fun with their Play-Doh creations now.

Play-Doh Will Take Back Plastic Penises it Sold at Christmas

I guess I have always been a little overprotective of the innocence of my kids. They might not recognize certain sexual references in some things that adults get, but I still don’t want that stuff around them if I can help it. This is the reason I never let me son watch Teletubbies when he was very young. That green one clearly had a dick on his head and their house looked like an ass. Plus, that show was really weird and creeped me out way more than H.R. Pufnstuf.

I always thought Play-Doh was on par with LEGO as far as imagination and creativity toys for kids. But if you gave your kids a Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset set this Christmas you might want to look at the icing dispenser that came with the set, it may look a lot like a penis. A swirly, ribbed penis, but the phallic shape is certainly there for anyone to notice.

You can’t tell me that whoever designed that clear plastic dickspenser didn’t realize it looked like male genitalia. Perhaps this was some sort of inside joke, but many parents didn’t think it was funny and Play-Doh is now offering to replace the offending tool with something a bit less off-putting.
