Catch ‘Em All with This Awesome Custom Poke Ball

Pokemon GO is still the rage right now, with millions of people around the world from all age groups still playing the game. If you want a little Poke Ball action in your geeky collection, this thing is the ticket. Jasper Hams created this Poke Ball and it is awesome.

I’m not sure how he did it, but it looks like something Hot Toys would make. It comes in a glass cylinder that reminds me of Ghostbusters for some reason.

I really dig the inside. I always wondered what the inside of a Poke Ball looked like, and now we know. I also wonder if it’s cruel to capture wild Pokemon and cram them inside a tiny ball.

You can own it for $133(USD) on Etsy.

Pokémon GO Plus Wearable Gets a Price

If you are a Pokémon fan, then you already know that next month, Nintendo is going to release Pokémon GO, an app that lets you catch pocket monsters in the real world using your smartphone. You can finally catch them all! The app even has a companion wearable that lets you play it without looking at your phone. Well, today Nintendo gave us a price for the wearable.

That price is $34.99(USD). On one hand, that’s pretty expensive for an accessory to a smartphone game. You can get a new 3DS title for that price. However, we are talking Pokémon fans here, so the big N shouldn’t have any trouble selling these to die-hard players. Anyway, for those interested in the game it should be worth it. It’s the only way to play the game without pulling out your smartphone.

The way it works is simple: If it’s blinking blue, there’s a Pokémon near you. You can then press the button to try to catch it. A rainbow light pattern means you caught it, but a blinking red light means you suck and failed. It is a simple device. So simple that I wonder if fans will just bypass it altogether. I guess we’ll find out soon. It will be out at the end of July.

If Somebody Throws This Pokéball Bouquet, You’d Better Catch ‘Em All

I choose you, Pikachu. Here’s a rose. Real roses are lovely, but the problem is that their beauty fades and they soon die. That’s why these made by nerds, made for nerds, duct tape roses are awesome.

They look like Pokémon Pokéballs, and are made by Etsy shop QuirkyQrafts. They come in a variety of colors, and sizes, and prices start around $17(USD) for a single rose. That’s not a lot to pay when you are a nerd who loves another nerd.

It’s a gift they will remember forever and in a sense, just like with a real Pokéball, this means that you have caught them. Just don’t make them fight against others in big arenas. That would be taking the metaphor way too far.

Poké Ball Light-Up Replica Catches Batteries for Itself

A couple of years ago we checked out high quality and expensive Poké Ball replicas. These ones by Etsy shop The Pokeball Project on the other hand are more affordable. You can even open them up, though the space inside is mostly taken up by electronics.

The Pokeball Project’s replicas come in four main variants, differing mainly in their electronic features. The M1 lights up, the M2’s light fades on and off, the M3 lights up and vibrates and the M4 lights up and plays a sound effect (I’m assuming its the capture sound from the Pokémon games) when you open it up, though it doesn’t vibrate.

In addition, you can get any of the four variants in a variety of color schemes, including the regular Poké Ball, the Master Ball and the Timer Ball.

Head to The Pokeball Project’s Etsy shop to order the replicas. Each Poké Ball costs between $40 to $76(USD) depending on the variant and if you want it to come with a display case.
