Deadpool Official Movie Costume: Actor with a Suit

Last December, Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Fox’s Deadpool movie is underway, with him playing as the Merc with a Mouth. If chimichanga sales went up a thousand fold then, the burrito must be more expensive than Apple stock right now, because Reynolds just revealed his costume for the movie. Let the Shoryukening commence.

If the yellow text boxes are in the movie as well, this one’s a lockdown for the 2017 Oscars. For all the categories.

Borderlands Engagement Ring Loot Chest: Well Don’t You Look Brutal

Borderlands fan got a funny and thoughtful proposal in the form of this well made ring box, which was made to look like a loot chest from the irreverent first-person shooter. It even has the colorful information pop up, complete with funny quotes and stats.

Sadly, I couldn’t find the geeky artisan behind this sweet gesture. As far as I can tell, Nerdist’s Malik Forté found this image on 9gag and tweeted about it, causing it to bounce around the Web. This is the oldest 9gag post about it that I could find, but it could easily be a repost. What matters is that person now has 96.5% more happiness.

Lord of the Rings Gingerbread Barad-dûr: Gingerbarad House

We’ve seen Sauron’s headquarters as a tasty cake. Here it is as a gingerbread house tower. According to Turkulainen, Jarno Koivula and his friend Roy made the menacing model using about 30lb. of gingerbread.

Jarno and Roy made the tasty tower a gingerbread house making competition, which awarded the two as the winners.

Hansel and Gretel don’t stand a chance in this tale.

My Neighbor Big Daddy

Bioshock’s Big Daddy almost looks cute in this animated gif made by artist Shawn Michael aka Theomeganerd. The mashup was originally the idea of Verso, who drew the Big Daddy and Little Sister in the style of My Neighbor Totoro for a T-shirt graphic. Shawn took Verso’s illustration, placed it over one of the of the film’s backgrounds and added a rain effect.

Real Speed: Need for Asphalt Race – Shift to Underground CSR Addiction: Own the Clone

While it’s common practice for video game clones to have titles similar to that of the game they’re ripping off, Redditor moumouren found what he calls the Mother of Clones.

At least “racing emotions” is original. Although there might be a reason for that.

Thumb Twiddling Machine Helps Your Fingers Do the Twiddling

Video and interactive artist Eran Amir created this silly contraption which does one thing and one thing only – it helps you twiddle your thumbs. Clearly, he did this because if you are truly so bored that you are twiddling your thumbs, you probably won’t have the patience to flex your own muscles to make it happen either.

Built from a couple of motors and a simple wood frame, the user places their fat fingers into the thumbrings, switches it on, and the rest is self-explanatory:

I wonder what would happen if you tried to twiddle your index fingers with it.

Balloon Animal AT-ATs: Hoth Air

Look out kid! You’re being attacked by a couple of Imperial Walkers! These impressive balloon animal AT-ATs were created by Balloon Guy Entertainment, who previously blew up a Balloon Bag End from The Hobbit.

What’s that you say? You don’t have a tow cable to take them down? That’s okay, kid, all you need is a pin.

Wood Macintosh: The Lumber for the Rest of Us

Despite having a tiny black and white screen and not even a hard drive in its first incarnation, the original Macintosh was one of the most transformative and iconic computers of all time. I’ve always wanted to have one on display in my office, but when I stumbled on this wooden version, I’d much rather have this on my bookshelf.

This wooden Macintosh sculpture was created by artist Lee Stoetzel a dog’s age ago back in 2007, and it’s just as timeless as the computer on which it’s based. It’s even got a wooden mouse and matching keyboard.

The only thing better would be if it had a slot that you could slide an iPad into and a functional wooden Bluetooth keyboard – both of which I’m sure could be done. Oh, and even better than that would be if Lee made one for me.

Be sure to check out Stoetzel’s other incredible wood creations, which include a VW bus.

The World’s Most Confused Handheld Gaming System

Oh, China. You’re such a great nation, but sometimes we’ve got to call you on your ridiculous reinterpretations of trademarked and copyrighted works from other parts of the world. This handheld gaming console is one such example.

This ridiculously confused PVP Station Light 3000 handheld co-opts imagery from Sony, Nintendo, Rovio and Naughty Dog all in one single package. And having played some of these craptacular systems over the years, I’m going to bet it can’t even play most of the games referenced on its box. Or if it can, it does it very badly.

Tri-Pizza: Wisdom, Courage, Pepperoni

Hundreds of years ago, three golden Italian bakers bestowed the Tri-Pizza upon us. This heavenly dish grants anyone who is wise, powerful and brave enough to overcome his laziness for 15 seconds and call a hotline with boundless joy. Only the Prothean Bacon can exceed the Tri-Pizza’s potency. Society6 member Monstruonauta honors this sacred and tasty relic with an illustration.

Mmmmm. You can get the Tri-Pizza as a print or as a graphic on t-shirts, hoodies, iPhone cases and more on Society6.
