AirHood portable range hood promises worry-free cooking by keeping oils and smells away

People are advised to cook their own food to help keep meals fresh and keep track of all the calories they consume. Easier said than done, though, because cooking can be quite the chore. There are new and innovative appliances that try to automate the process, but most of us will probably have to settle for a traditional range or stove, which brings worries and concerns of its own. From oil stains to sticky scents, the cleanup is just as or even more taxing than the act of cooking itself, even when you include preparations. The simple thought of all that cleaning could already make some people give up cooking even before they had the chance to make it a habit. Prevention is better than cure, they say, and the AirHood, fortunately, saves you from part of that chore while also making the inescapable part easier and less daunting.

Even if you have an air fryer, a microwave, or a steam oven, chances are you will still go back to the stovetop to cook other dishes. Most of these will involve some amount of oil or fat, which either splatter around your stove or ride along with the fumes to stain your walls, counters, and other surfaces. Yes, there are range hoods that try to suck out the smoke and those oils, but cleaning these becomes an almost insurmountable task when the time comes, and it eventually does. The AirHood addresses all those concerns to make cooking and cleaning less laborious, and you can even position it in whatever place or location necessary to achieve the best results.

AirHood almost looks like an electric fan, but it actually works in the opposite direction, with its powerful fan sucking up the smoke and fumes from your cooking. Of course, it’s not enough to simply get rid of the smoke, though, and the AirHood’s ventilator passes the air through charcoal filters to prevent the smell from filling your kitchen and your house. These can be easily replaced, but they last for months before you need to do so anyway.

The oil filter fights grease buildup.

The charcoal filter purifies the air.

What makes this portable range hood special, other than being portable, is the oil filter that even built-in hoods don’t have. Made from durable stainless steel, this filter extracts the fat particles that would otherwise stain kitchen surfaces and stink up the area. The oil filter can also be easily removed and cleaned to prevent the buildup of oil film, keeping the filter always ready for your next delicious meal. Together, these filters not only keep your kitchen smell-free and grease-free, they also make it safer by preventing the generation and spread of toxic fumes in a small space.

Unlike typical range hoods, which don’t come with every kitchen, you can place the AirHood anywhere it’s needed to pull in the smoke and airborne fats. If you choose the wireless option, you can even do it away from a power outlet. Small, convenient, and safe, it’s amazing that no one had thought of something like the AirHood portable range hood until now. With a $109 price tag for a wired bundle or $129 for a wireless set, the AirHood easily and quickly pays for itself with your peace of mind, assured that you can start cooking the healthiest and most delicious dishes without having to fret over oils and smells ever again.

This 3-in-1 kitchen appliance with voice assistance is the butler you need!

The kitchen is one of the most important sections of any home, and for me, growing up in a small house, the kitchen was almost sacred. It’s the first place in the day where everyone began their mornings, and in every big family gathering, everyone would eventually end up chatting in the kitchen. This A’ Design winner lets you upgrade your existing kitchen without the requirement of an expansive space or the limitation of existing elements in your kitchen. The Open Suite Cooker Hood by Fabrizio Crisa for Elica is designed to keep in mind modern styling requirements and, most of all, modularity to bring out the most in everyday practical usage.

The Open Suite merges a hood, a large LED light panel, modular shelving units along with a voice assistant integration that provides feedback on filter maintenance and overall system management. The unit is tailored for all your modern needs – the modular structure of the hood brings flexibility in how you actually want to set up the function and complement it with the visual appeal. This freedom comes courtesy of the 80 cm/160 cm modules that join in endless configurations depending on the user’s requirements and personal taste. The lower front section of the hob houses a large LED light panel (with color toggle and intensity adjustment) for illuminating the area while cooking. So, whatever the mood you’re in, Open Suite can create the right ambient environment for enjoyable cooking sessions. The designer explains, “A monolithic structure, in which the functions of air and light become complementary: in the lower front side of the hob there is, in fact, a large LED light panel. The panel acts as a strategic light point during food preparation, to be also used as ambient light for the most convivial moments. You can adapt the intensity and color of the LEDs, from cold white to warmer tones, to create the perfect atmosphere. Thanks to the double suction unit and the special Long Life filters (which can be regenerated in the oven for 3 years), Open Suite has been designed to guarantee maximum performance in the filter version and maximum freedom of movement in the kitchen.”

All the functions for interaction with the cooker hood come in ergonomic controls on the front. For those who are used to voice assistants, the kitchen appliance comes with Alexa, Google Home, and the in-built Elica app support. For easy filter maintenance, the appliance comes with the convenience of automated tips to keep the hood at its best for years to come – just like a butler who takes care of the smaller things in life to keep the kitchen running smoothly! The intuitive design to bring modular kitchen shelves and cooker hood into one is worth appreciating and something that budding home chefs will want to own right away!

A Range Hood That Doesn’t Totally Suck

fineloof_kitchen_hood_layout

Just about anything will beat the clunky look of traditional range hoods, but it’s refreshing to see a design that pushes the aesthetic for this often overlooked appliance. The design opens when it’s in use and closes when it’s off in order to cut its elevated footprint in half. Its grey and black stealthy aesthetic is contrasted by an organic shape that looks right at home in the kitchen. If nothing else, we like it for the way it makes itself sparse!

Take your social food sharing to the next level with REC, the range hood that goes well beyond simple ventilation. An evolution of Samsung’s smart home product line, it’s designed to both teach and help others be taught.

First and foremost, the wall-mounted unit differs from other bulky hoods with its ultra-slim profile. This flat panel design also makes it possible for a screen to be integrated into the outward facing side. Here, users can follow new recipes with step-by-step video tutorials displayed directly over the stove. The touch-screen interface allows them to easily navigate through the recipe. Furthermore, they can share their own favorite recipes with a built-in camera system that follows their movements throughout the kitchen. Using the dedicated social sharing app called RECipe, they can browse and replicate other people’s secret family recipes or build their own following with how-to videos and yummy tutorials!

The Elvish Hood

elvish_hood_cover

A range hood is rarely one of those things you’re most proud of in your kitchen. With this in mind, Corrado de Pinto created the Elvish Hood to not only be a stylish accent, but a major focal point in your kitchen. Yes, it’s organic elegance at its finest… but also a bit humorous! The shape is quite similar to that of an elf’s hat, hence the name.

A Range Hood Like You’ve Never Seen

radix_01

In the same way that trees are our world’s natural air purifiers, the Radix range hood aims to do the same for your home! The design, that looks like an upside down floating tree, goes beyond inhaling smoke and steam from your island cooking area – it also continues to purify the air well after cooking. This artistic twist on the range hood also adds a touch of contemporary flare to your kitchen unlike other bulky designs.

This Range Hood is Better Than Good

If you’ve ever been in a fancy kitchen where the stovetop is built-in to the island, then you know how inconvenient it can be to work around or carry on a conversation around a cumbersome range hood. Taking inspiration from “furoshiki” technique of wrapping objects, the Pareo is a creative solution that operates like a telescope to move out of your way when you aren’t using it. Genius!
