Hello Kitty Car Tires are Perfect for Jaguars

So you’ve got a fancy sports car named after a cat. You can’t exactly go driving around with plain old black rubber wrapped around your rims, can you? What you need are some of these pink-accented Hello Kitty tires.

The tires were created as part of an odd team-up between NEXEN Tire and Sanrio. They feature pink sidewall details with kitty whisker and hair bow artwork – just what every high performance sports car needs. I wonder why they didn’t go with entirely pink tires though. I guess anyone who puts these on their car will already have the car itself painted hot pink.

The company also showed off tires based on another lesser known Sanrio character, Cinnamoroll, but I think they’d be way better if the tires looked like giant cinnamon rolls.

Gudetama Lazy Egg Figurines Lounge on Your Lunch

I don’t always understand Japan and the things they find cool over there. I don’t exactly understand these either, but I think these Gudetama World Tour figures are very cool. They feature Sanrio character Gudetama – a lazy egg basking in one sort of dish or another from around the world.

The ramen figure makes me want noodles something fierce. I especially like the one where the egg is dressed like Mr. Peanut complete with top hat and bow tie. There are eight different figures in all.

The catch is that they are blind-boxed so you don’t know what you will get. I always wonder why someone doesn’t open these blind box figures, mark them up a bit, and sell the exact ones geeks want to you. I guess it’s because collectables are worth more in unopened boxes, but I still find it odd. These goofy collectables are available at ThinkGeek for $10.99 each.

Sanrio To Release A Hello Kitty Toilet Seat

hello-kitty-toilet

Because pooping is the first thing anyone thinks of when they hear the words Hello Kitty, Sanrio has decided to release a fairly sophisticated toilet seat in the character’s likeness. So now you’ll be able to, uh, drop some weight in the cutest way possible. The seat has a warming function, as well as a warm water bidet. There might even be other things, considering the control panel looks like it might belong in a jetliner; just look at all those buttons! There’s no word on price or availability, but the product was shown off at the company’s Tokyo headquarters last February 2nd.

These are available for purchase through Sanrio in three different designs. Normal fire extinguishers will run you about $40, these are little more pricey at closer to $90.

Hello Kitty Mech: The Power to Defeat Other Hello Kitties

Hello Kitty is like kryptonite to most guys, but here is a Hello Kitty toy that even we can appreciate. This Hello Kitty Mech looks pretty sweet. And pretty deadly.

This new action figure from Sanrio and Bandai is a collaboration between the companies to celebrate their 40th anniversary. This Hello Kitty mech has a bunch of cool features. It has shooting rocket fists, a miniature Hello Kitty operator inside the head and more. The miniature is only 0.9 inches tall, the figure itself is four inches tall.

This toy will arrive next summer in June 2014 for under $50(USD). It looks very menacing, which I like. Maybe it will beat up all of those Hello Kitty plush toys that people have.

Cute quotient overload: eyes-on with the Street Fighter x Sanrio Fightstick for Xbox 360

Cute quotient overload eyeson with the Street Fighter x Sanrio Fightstick for Xbox 360

Thought the holidays were over? So did we. Imagine our surprise, then, when we returned to the office to find one last, special package lying in wait: Mad Catz Street Fighter x Sanrio Arcade Fightstick Pro. As ridiculous explosions of cute go, this one takes the sugoku kawaii cake -- even the box is a Hello Kitty collector's wet dream. Obvious overall otaku appeal aside, Xbox 360 gamers interested in the Fightstick Pro will find an eight button "authentic Japanese-style Sanwa Denshi" layout, switches for button lock / unlock and three joystick configuration settings (d-pad, left or right analog stick), turbo functionality, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack upfront and a storage compartment housing the 13-foot long USB cable around back. Really though, no amount of English words will do this kitsch item justice. So check out the gallery below for a photo tour of this adorable collision of anime worlds.
