With a simplified design and a toyish charm, the Spaceship mood light is perfect for adding light as well as light-heartedness to a room. The toy rocket sits on any table, supported by a cloud of translucent smoke that makes it look like the rocket has just taken off. New LEGO Star Wars Tantive IV Set Is Coming In May

If you are building your Star Wars LEGO fleet of spaceships, check this one out. The newly announced LEGO 75244 Star Wars Tantive IV set is headed our way. Also known as the Blockade Runner, it is the Corellian Corvette that carried Princess Leia at the beginning of the original Star Wars movie.

The set is one of many LEGO Star Wars sets announced at this year’s Star Wars Celebration event. This is actually the third LEGO version of this ship. The first was the Ultimate Collectors’ Series (10019) set from 2001, the second was a playset (10198) released in 2009. The new LEGO 75244 Star Wars Tantive IV has more parts than the original, with 1,768 pieces.

It looks a bit sleeker than the previous versions too. This version has an elongated hull, detachable escape pods(because that’s how the adventure starts), an elevating gun, cargo hold, 11 engines, and a removable hull plate that reveals a 2-minifigure cockpit, conference area with table, weapon rack and a control console with a pair of seats. Obviously, this LEGO set is not to minifig scale, but it’s still pretty detailed and cool looking.

The set also comes with five minifigures: Bail Organa, Princess Leia, Captain Antilles, C-3PO, Rebel Fleet Trooper, and R2-D2. It will hit stores on May 4, 2019 for $199.99.

This Millennium Falcon Violin Does the William Tell Overture in 12 Parsecs

You gave a concert in that? You’re braver than I thought. This Millennium Falcon Violin sadly, has no strings, so you can’t play it, but you can hang it on your wall and admire it.


Artist Richard Symons created this cool sculpture around a real violin. The engines light up with blue LEDs, which makes up for it’s lack of strings. So this is basically what the Falcon would look like if something went horribly wrong and it got all stretched out in hyperspace.


If it did work, you would still need a Wookiee co-pilot holding down the strings to help you play it. It will cost you $700 to hang this on your wall.

Star Trek: The Original Series Bird of Prey Has Flashy Lights and Sounds

If you’re more Kirk than Picard, this is the Romulan Bird of Prey for you. This replica is modeled to look like the ship from the original Star Trek series.

The ship has a wingspan of 12-inches, and comes packed in a special 50th anniversary full color window box if you are the sort that buys cool stuff and never opens the package. It also features lights, sounds, and dialog from the original series, which you will never hear if you don’t remove it from the fancy box other than the “try me” feature you can activate from outside the box.

I never was an original series fan, so I had no idea they had Birds of Prey with an actual bird painted on it. You can get one at Entertainment Earth for $59.99(USD).
