LEGO Movie 2 Rexcelsior Kit Looks Awesome

LEGO is doing some very cool things of late, like that full-size Chevy truck model. Fans of The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part will be able to get a very cool LEGO kit this summer. The kit is large with 1,820 pieces that combine to create hero Rex Dangervest’s badass ship The Rexcelsior.

LEGO set number 70839 is shaped like a big blue fist and has six spring-loaded, rapid-fire missiles with a trigger in the back. A microscale interior is included along with Stubble Trouble Emmet and Rex Dangervest minifigs.

Microfigures of Emmet and Rex along with five micro raptor toy dinosaurs are included. Five micro build models are included with Emmet’s house and a dropship among them. The finished kit is over 7″ high, 15″ long, and 8″ wide. It will launch this summer for about $179. Keep your eye on the LEGO Shop for more fun models from The LEGO Movie 2.

Family Gets Double Decker Couch from The LEGO Movie

I watched The LEGO Movie at home with my kids because I thought it sounded too weird to spend the money to see in the theater. After watching it, I think I was right. It was a weird movie and I didn’t care much for the way it was filmed.

Regardless, a lot of people loved the flick and one super fan won one of the most memorable props from the film for his family’s living room. That item is Emmet’s goofy double-decker couch. It looks like something very dangerous to use to me. I’d totally sit on the top deck though.

The couch even has a compartment under the bottom couch that lets you store stuff like blankets (or more LEGO.) Check out the video to see more about the double-decker couch build from Super-Fan Builds.

Cloud Cuckoo Land from The LEGO Movie Recreated in… LEGO

If you have seen The LEGO Movie then you know that everything in it was awesome. Well, of course we think so. We are fanatics. Cloud Cuckoo Land was the best. It was crazy amazing. It is after all the happiest place in the universe. Visually it was also the prettiest.

Not so much when Cloud Cuckoo Land fell, but what are you going to do? If you are a fan of the movie, LEGO builder Imagine Rigney has recreated the scene with the Master Builder’s Submarine. It is as bright and amazing as in the movie.

This diorama is just bursting with details. This was obviously a labor of love and it shows. This guy is super talented.
