Star Wars Panini Press: The Dark Side of the Sandwich

I’m not sure there is a really a difference between a panini and a toasted sandwich. What I do know is when you have a hankering for a grilled cheese with some geek flare, this Star Wars Imperial panini press is the ticket. You can make two toasty (and evil) sandwiches at a time.

One side embellishes your bread with Darth Vader’s helmet, while the other one makes an impression of a stormtrooper’s helmet. The product description says that you can make waffles or brownies with this thing too. I’ve never heard of making brownies on this sort of contraption.

You can cook eggs in it too. Some scrambled eggs with Lord Vader on them sound good right about now. The Star Wars Imperial panini press is available at ThinkGeek for $39.99.

Han Solo In Carbonite Fridge Is Smaller, Keeps Food Cold AND Warm

han-fridge-2

We’ve written about a ‘Han Solo Frozen in Carbonite Fridge’ before. But that was a full-size unit, and it wasn’t even a real product. Now Thinkgeek is bringing an actual, working fridge, with Han Solo frozen for all eternity plastered on front. It’s a smaller unit, and it has two settings, cold and warm, so you can keep your items at either temperature.

– Han Solo in Carbonite Fridge
– Officially-licensed Star Wars merchandise
– Has a warm and a cool setting for keeping food either warm or cold
– Rubber feet to protect surface
– Red LED lighting on front (switch on back in case you don’t want it)
– 2 removable shelves
– Top handle for portability
– Locking door to prevent spillage (push the second instrument panel in to release)
– Capacity: 18 cans of soda (with shelves removed)

It’s a cool product, and it would fit right in to someone’s dorm room, rec room, or office. It’s $149.

Batman Panties: The Underwear Gotham Deserves

Graffiti has very much graduated from petty vandalism to art in many circles; there are now professional graffiti artists, because graffiti is cool. Graffiti is still not as cool as either Batman or pretty ladies in their underwear, so I’m going to view this as a very well calculated partnership on graffiti’s part.

This three pack of black and yellow panties costs $24.99(USD) from ThinkGeek and features three different designs. All three are black and yellow with lace sides, but the logos change. One feature’s Batman’s logo, another says “Batman” and has a smaller logo beneath, and a third is Batman’s head. If Batman’s head is down there, does it count as cheating? Would anyone hold it against someone else if they cheated with Batman? I don’t think so.

Get them as a stocking stuffer for your favorite person. It works either way too, you can choose to give them or wear them, depending on your gender/what kind of kinks the two (or more) of you are in to.

Boba Fett Lounger is a Geek’s Snuggie

I think we can all agree that the most comfortable way to lounge around the house is probably in your underwear and an old t-shirt. If you have people over and can’t strip down to your skivvies, the next best thing is this Boba Fett Lounger. It’s sort of like a Snuggie for Star Wars geeks.

This is a one-piece jumpsuit printed with the look of Boba Fett’s armor and jet pack on the front and back. It zips up so you can shed it quickly for between commercial bathroom breaks. It’s sort of like a union suit, those old-fashioned underwear you see in westerns.

It’s made from 60% cotton and 40% polyester and has a pair of front pockets. It also has a hood that to keep your ears warm. Sadly, it doesn’t include a helmet either – just a hood. It also has no butt flap or footies. You can get one in several sizes at ThinkGeek for $69.99(USD). All the Mandalorians are wearing them this year.

Doctor Who Adipose Science Putties: Blobby Putty

You might remember the Adipose from that crazy Doctor Who episode where Matron Cofelia packaged Adipose seeds as weight loss pills, and sold them to unsuspecting customers to help them lose weight. While these Adipose Science Putties won’t steal your body fat,  they are cute and fun to play with.

You get three Adipose putties that will melt into a puddle over time after you take them out of the packaging. Shape them into whatever you want and play with them. When you are done, just put them back into their Adipose molds. You also get plastic eyes and smiles that you can add to them.

I’m not sure if they also work like Silly Putty and transfer images, but that would be cool too.

ThinkGeek’s Power-Up brings the arcade controls to your room’s light switch

Think Geek's PowerUp brings the arcade controls to your room's light switch

Sure, you could get one of Think Geek's iCade controllers to play actual arcade-style button mashing games -- or you just bring the nostalgia of the joystick to your light switch for $30 with its recently introduced Power-Up Arcade light switch plate. The unit can replace any standard light switch plate, turning it into a faux gaming control panel. A traditional joystick replaces your old switch nub to control the lights, while its two action buttons enable "pew pew" sound effects when pressed. If all that wasn't enough, the Power-Up also acts as a nightlight after you use it to pwn hit the main lights in your quarters (you'll have to provide of a duo of AA batteries yourself). Check out the video below to see it in action for yourself.
