Beat Your Meat with Thor’s Hammer

If you like to tenderize your meat into submission before cooking it, we have the tool for you. This meat beater looks like Thor’s Mjolnir hammer, and if thy are worthy of the most tender cutlets, you can wield it.

Underground Toys’ little kitchen gadget is official Marvel merchandise, and unlike Thor’s regular hammer, it has nubs on each side to pound meats of all sorts for the best tenderness and making the flattest cutlets. The hammer has print on the side that reads, “Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of… Thor.” It also has a silicone grip, so your hands don’t slip during your meat beating sessions.

Get one at GameStop for $24.99. This would go perfectly with that Thor hammer toolset.

UPS will build ‘medium-duty’ delivery truck for its electric fleet

UPS' quest to electrify its trucks includes both giant semis and smaller last-mile trucks, but not so many of the vehicles in between. It might rectify that solution soon -- the courier company has teamed up with Thor Trucks to build and test a "medi...

Thor’s Stormbreaker Gets Real

In Avengers: Infinity War, Thor had the world’s littlest giant forge him a one of a kind Thanos-killing weapon named Stormbreaker. Now humans have gone and built one in real life. Man At Arms: Reforged has brought the weapon to life, and it looks pretty impressive.

Instead of just casting the replica, they decided to forge it. First, they laid the foundation by hammering out the shape of the axe portion and leaving the other side rounded. Next, they added some stylish overlays to make it look like it does in the film. It doesn’t take long (for us thanks to the magic of video) for Thor’s new weapon to take shape, complete with a handle made by none other than Groot.

The surrounding parts of the hammer were made out of 316 steel because otherwise, it would weigh around 400 lbs. The end result is a weapon worthy of Thor himself. Naturally, they tested out the weapon after it was completed, so we get to see stuff like watermelons get destroyed. It’s awesome.

Thor’s Hammer Tool Set: Mjolnir for Mechanics

Thor’s mighty hammer is pretty damned powerful in the right hands. But it can’t fix everything. What you need is something more versatile, like this special version that packs a complete tool kit inside.

It may look like Mjolnir from the outside, but when you set it down and pop it open, it packs a 44-piece tool set inside. You’ll get all the tools you need to be a repair superhero, including a socket set, screwdrivers, wrenches, a knife, level, pliers, tape measure, and more. Plus the big hammer’s handle doubles as the handle of an actual 13 oz. claw hammer.

The whole package makes a great gift for any handy person or Marvel fan, and is available from ThinkGeek now for $99.99. You are worthy!

Thor and Captain America Winter Hats Are MARVELously Warm

If there’s one thing I learned from my mother, it’s that 250% of my body heat leaves through my head and I need to put a hat on or I’ll catch a death of cold. That said, I still don’t wear hats in the winter as much as I really should. Maybe I’d wear a hat more often if it looked like one of these.

Avenge the cold this winter with these cozy looking and officially-licensed Thor and Captain America hats. While they’re both likely to keep your head warm, Thor design is definitely the better of the two with its helmet-inspired shape and mighty Mjolnir icon.

Captain America fans will have to settle for a more traditional hunter’s cap, just decked out with the Cap’s shield/logo on their dome. But those ear flaps do sure look warm and fuzzy at least, and if you’re going to be frozen in the ice for 70 years, your head shouldn’t be cold, should it?

Both hats are available exclusively from ThinkGeek, and sell for $24.99(USD) each.

Hot Toys Gladiator Thor Action Figure: A Toy from Work

High end toymaker Hot Toys has finally unveiled its action figure based on Thor’s space Roman warrior outfit in Thor: Ragnarok. The Gladiator Thor action figure features the god of thunder’s new hair, his Gladiator helmet and several weapons. Just like in the film, the Gladiator helmet’s wings can be folded.

The action figure’s standard variant also comes with four pairs of hands, a shield, a pair of daggers and a pair of swords. The deluxe version adds two more swords – a short Einherjar sword and a long Einherjar sword – and a gun called a Sakaar rifle. Sadly, neither version comes with a smiling Thor face. You can pre-order the action figure from Sideshow Collectibles; the standard version costs $244 (USD) while the deluxe version costs $259.

Avengers Pocket Watch Collection: For a MARVELous Time

There are thousands upon thousands of Avengers collectibles on the market, but here are some that I had no idea existed. What you’re looking at are the officially-licensed Avengers pocket watches. The series includes eight different watches, made to celebrate some of the members of Marvel’s popular superhero team.

Bradford Exchange will offer up pocket watches with logo graphics for Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man, Falcon, and Hawkeye. In addition, there’s a S.H.I.E.L.D. watch, and a handsome glass-covered wooden display case. It’s not clear what the watches are made from, but they have a cool 3D embossed look and a metallic finish.

My personal favorite is the Captain America design, since it looks just like his shield. I don’t know if it would stop a bullet, but pocket watches have been known to do that. The series will be released every month or so, at a price of $49.99(USD) for each watch, and the same price for the display case, bringing the total cost for the collection to just under $450.

Marvel Battery Packs are Adorable, But Don’t Pack Super Power

Power up your gadgets in the cutest way possible, with these adorable battery packs based on Marvel’s superheroes. They look a whole lot like Funko’s Dorbz figures, but each of these cartoony characters packs a 2,600 mAh battery inside. That’s not exactly a superpower – but it’s enough to give your phone an extra boost when you need it.

They come in from Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Thor versions. Each of our superheroes has an extra couple of holes on the back of their heads, one 1-amp USB port for charging, and a microUSB for refilling the battery.

You can grab the full collection over at Brando. They’re $60(USD) each – a bit pricey for a low capacity battery pack, but they certainly look cooler than the typical rectangular slab.

Life-Size LEGO Thor Sculpture Took 290 Hours to Build

Everytime I see an awesome LEGO contraption, I always want to know what went into the build of it. This time out we have an awesome time-lapse video that shows the process as a group of LEGO builders as they created an impressive life-size Thor for San Diego Comic-Con 2017.

The build was to promote the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok that will be launching soon in theaters. As you might imagine, the statue took thousands of bricks, some glue, and a mallet.

The mighty Thor took LEGO Master Builders 290 hours to construct. See how they did it with this time lapse video. #LEGOSDCC #SDCC

I wonder what they do with these LEGO sculptures when these shows are over? Does someone get to take them home? Do they just smash it and reuse the bricks? Or do they end up in some Raiders of the Lost Ark style warehouse?
