While the fad of catching invisible monsters in an AR-experience known as Pokémon Go, has mostly faded away, the destruction caused by it’s fun graphics and colorful Pikachus is of horrific proportions as two Perdue University professors estimate the game is responsible for causing around 100,000 traffic accidents.

They analyzed data of traffic accidents around the time of the game’s releases and estimate that within 100 meters of a Pokéstop, the likelihood of an accident occurring was about 27% higher. Even crazier is that, as the game’s popularity started dropping, the increase in the number of accidents dropped at almost the same rate.

The research is trying to show the effects of distracted driving, rather than villainizing Pokémon Go itself. But one thing’s for sure, that simple game has left a lasting impact, one that I hope the mechanic can pop back out without too much body work.

As today is Black Friday, there are plenty of great deals to save plenty of cash on holiday shopping (if you like dealing with crowds), but in honor of everyone’s favorite money-saving day, here is a video doorbell that probably isn’t a sound financial decision.

Based on the Ring Video Doorbell Elite, this version comes blinged out with 2,077 sapphires and 40 diamonds all set into an 18-karat gold faceplate. The creation, made by Bijan Jewelry, comes with all the great features of the normally $500 original, like night vision and a sharp HD picture, but this one is shinier.

Now, out of all the things to get encrusted with jewels, why on Earth would you want your doorbell to get the treatment? People can just walk up and pry a few diamonds off everytime they need to make a car payment. Sure, they’ll be captured on video through the device, but what about when someone just rips the whole unit off? What about that, smart-guy?

Anyway, like I said, it’s $100,000 (sarcastic joke about it being cheap) and only ten are being made (sarcastic joke saying about how you better act fast).

Can you imagine what you can do with an extra hand? Clapping would be 50% more efficient, waving hello to your neighbor would be 50% more effective, writing tech articles would be 50% faster. The possibilities are infinite (I just have a very finite imagination).

You can buy the Double-Hand Glove right now for around $2,100. Now, there is only limited on/off input, so you can either have the hands open or closed. Personally I’ll just stick to my favorite method right now, tapping two plastic claw hands to forearm and then taping bottles of beer to each one for extra drinking capabilities.

If you’re the type of person who likes to eat your food while driving, you can know how dangerous it can be to hold your sauce in one hand and dip your Chicken McNuggies with the other, oh I guess you have to occasionally keep your steering wheel from veering you into oncoming traffic too, but whatever. For years, we’ve been crying out for a better solution, and now I think our prayers have been answered.

It’s called DipClip and it’s here to change your life. It’s a clip that attaches to your air vent, that will allow you to safely dip your nuggies or potato sticks in that sweet BBQ or Honey Mustard. I suppose you could also use it for Sweet and Sour sauce, but that’s gross, don’t do that.

It’s made of ABS plastic, should it should hold up pretty well, just don’t go slam dunking your nugs. And as you can tell, it’s design is intended to be compatible with most major fast food chains from Arby’s to some food chain that starts with Z.

KFC, those people that sell the chicken, have just launched their latest non-food product, a massive Faraday cage that can block our cellular signals. The company calls it the Internet Escape Pod, and it features a Colonel Sanders, resting like Snoopy over it’s dome structure, and a drumstick handle for the door to the cage.

The dome itself is constructed out of steel, stainless steel mesh and high density foam. And as only one of these architectural masterpieces exists, it’ll set you back a cool $10,000.

Now, why anyone would want to buy a $10,000 tent that looks like the Colonel had a stroke and fell on top is not something I thought I’d have to answer, so unfortunately I’m unprepared to sell you on the idea. But hey, I guess you could spend your money on worse things. Actually, no, this is probably the worst way.

Thankfully, someone made a beer opener that’s the size of a pizza peel (that’s the actual name of that large paddle they use for pizza, who knew?), that can open up to six beers at once. It’s called the SIXOVERONE and It’s designed to fit a standard six-pack of bottles, so you can have your buds ready before anyone has time to second-guess that next beer.

It’s a cool idea, but I’m just not sure how well a stamped piece of metal can hold up against six under-pressure bottles of beer, like from a physics standpoint. Of course, I don’t know how much force is required to remove a bottlecap and whether the force required grows exponentially as the number of bottlecaps increases.
