White Walker: A Limited Edition Game of Thrones Whiskey

Winter is coming, and if you are looking for something to take the chill off, Johnnie Walker has just the thing for you. White Walker is a limited edition Game of Thrones inspired whiskey, packaged in a special bottle that reveals a “Winter Is Here” graphic when you chill it.

White Walker “has notes of caramelized sugar and vanilla, fresh red berries with a touch of orchard fruit and features single malts from Cardhu and Clynelish.” Drink enough and you’ll feel like a White Walker has assaulted you.

Let’s be honest, the video is probably better than the whiskey, but it will still be nice to watch a Game of Thrones marathon while having a drink on your own version of the Iron Throne, which is probably more comfortable. And you can rest easy knowing that George R.R. Martin is getting still more money that he has to count instead of finishing the next book in the series. If we buy enough of this stuff, he will never have reason to finish.

So a White Walker Walks into the John Snow Pub…

Sometimes life is stranger or just as strange as fiction. Take this pub in London for instance. It’s the Jon Snow pub. You know nothing, Jo(h)n Snow…pub!

So you are enjoying a pint at the Jo(h)n Snow pub, imagining that it must be inspired by Game of Thrones and enjoying the symmetry of life when in walks a White Walker. He orders a pint too. Your mind is blown. What can you do but pinch yourself and look around for Tyrion and the rest of the gang, just to make sure you are not dreaming. Thankfully someone took a picture and posted it on reddit, because this really happened.

The pub is on the corner of Lexington St. and Broadwick St. in London in case you’re thinking of going there on a date with Ygritte.

Game of Thrones White Walker Cake, Eat It with an Obsidian Fork

This Game of Thrones White Walker cake looks great. Winter is coming and it looks yummy. It’s yet another awesome cake by JB Cada and his partner Stephanie Santos from The Regali Kitchen.

This cake is nicely detailed and says “Night gathers and now the party begins.”  If you follow the books to the letter then you will need to sound the horn three times for the warning of White Walkers. Then it’s safe to dig in. But you will obviously need obsidian cake cutters to eat that White Walker on top.

I bet Samwell Tarley and Jon Snow wish they had cakes like this on the wall. I wish I had one too. They did a fantastic job on this one as always.
