This Volkswagen Beetle is a Batman worthy crime fighting machine that loves high octane racing!

Volkswagen Beetle was, is, and will be the darling of automotive enthusiasts and custom shops – be it for pure driving bliss or giving the iconic four-wheeler a custom remake. Eveeeeen though the car has been out of production, its charm is unlikely to die any time soon. London-based automotive concept designer Al Yasid Oozeear (a.k.a. Al Yasid) has experimented with quite a few rides until now. His lucky date with the Beetle has brought forth a unique blueprint that gives the car a morphing character of a muscle car and Le Mans racer. One that fuses perfectly to be a modern Batmobile.

Yasid has refreshed the way a custom Beetle ought to look like compared to the countless custom designs the chubby four-wheelers has seen in the past. Now it oozes with a very boyish charm with the looks of a killer machine on the road, and he calls it “Max”. Gone are the buffed-up cheeks, rounded wheel arches, and the countered headlights. The makeover now boasts a Le Mans styled persona with classy fenders, square LED headlights, and a very muscular low-positioned splitter. The car gets side skirting, a roof scoop for aerodynamic balance, and a carbon embellished lightbar for a very masculine feel.

Move over to the rear, and you realize the amount of muscle it can churn out of that protruding V12 engine. Somehow it gives an overall feel of a product of a night out between Beetle and 917 Porsche in the garage. I won’t even deter from calling it a “Batmobeetle” – a car made for fighting crime scenes in the city’s dark corners. And of course, who wouldn’t want to be the protagonist Batman, driving it around. When it’s time to experience the need for speed, just take it to any drag race, and you’re destined to end the night with a pocket full of moolah!

This batman-worthy Chevrolet SS concept radiates Batmobile character, sans the all black look!

The 1970 Chevrolet SS is one classic car that serves as the perfect platform for hotrod lovers to modify – and its hot property even to date. The big fat tires, the bulging V8 engine, a distinct street racing character, and the pure joy of driving this mean machine to bamboozle onlookers is something of an addiction. But when the Chevrolet SS gets a makeover that takes it to a god-like level, it is undeniable.

Coming from the designer of the Dodge Demon having a striking Bumblebee character – yes we are talking about Al Yasid – this concept design elevates the muscular charisma of the Chevrolet to a level where it can even be deemed as a Batman worthy ride. Yes, a Batmobile-like extended rear gives it that peculiar crime-fighting machine aesthetic – only if the hotrod could be painted in the signature all-black hue. The look comes courtesy of Yasid’s second layer of modification to the Bandido Chevrolet SS from one of his earlier renders – virtually bettering the remake a step further. According to Yasid, who gave the ride aero feel overall thanks to the over fenders, “The single central fin always work, no doubt about that.”

The mean machine gets a dual-tone color with the hood, front bumper, and front fenders painted in black and the rest of the body getting a light silver treatment. The black dual stripes on the roof and the hint of black on the rear, give this Chevrolet a definite road presence. Of course, the big fat wheels hint at the muscle car’s drag racing DNA, and the presence of a wheelie bar would do this ride the justice. I’m sure it has got the thrust boosters and a fire-spitting exhaust ready for a duel!

Dodge Demon meets Bumblebee in this intimidating avatar, making it Richard Hammond’s wet dream!

Dodge Demon is the result of the most passionate motorheads at Dodge, giving it the 840bhp (at 770lb of torque) muscle power that makes even the 707bhp Dodge Hellcat look ordinary. The four-wheeler is packed with power, has an intimidating look to go with it, and yes, Dodge fans absolutely love it. If the Demon wasn’t smokin’ hot enough, automotive concept artist Al Yasid gives it a significant facelift with his tuner kit that literally lends the muscle car a god-like stance!

He reimagines the car in white silver body and yellow hue for the front bumper – much like the 68 Porsche 908. The choice of yellow comes from the designer’s current bent towards this color from the palette that he likes the most. With tweaking to the front align with over fenders – who would not fall in love with this muscle car! If you notice closely, the Dodge cross grill (air dam) has been modernized, and the rear window aero piece has that attractive shooting brake-like look courtesy of the roof spoiler. Al Yasid points to his love of shooting brakes by saying, “That “roof spoiler” was actually done to give a slight illusion of a shooting brake while not being one hah!” In a fun twist, the yellow front resembles a duck’s bill for those who love a biological inspiration on their ride, but to me, the yellow is a pure throwback to Bumblebee, our favorite transformer ever!

Any self-respecting automotive expert will swear by The Grand Tour – love them, hate them, but for sure you want to be doing those antics with them! Seeing this Dodge Demon concept takes me to the first episode of Season 3, The Grand Tour, where Richard Hammond infamously spent hours modding his already beefed-up Dodge Demon. Being a complete Richard fan, it’s a safe bet for me to say that this muscle car concept will match all of his dream car criteria. Al Yasid has definitely infused a new sense of styling into the Dodge Demon with this reworked version – one that anyone would fall for head over heels. Me, well, I’m already daydreaming – taking this Demon for a ride – literally managing to catch everyone’s eye!

A designer made a Lamborghini Motorcycle concept and it looks like a predator on two wheels!

Even though Lamborghini owns Ducati (they’re all under VW’s automotive umbrella), the Italian supercar company has never forayed into the two-wheeler market… but trust concept designers to explore these paths not taken (or driven upon). The motorbike, which fans are affectionately naming Mangusta, shows the vision of designer Al Yasid when he imagines Lamborghini pivoting into two-wheelers. Based on the Ducati Diavel, the Lamborghini Mangusta really does do a great job of embodying the Italian raging bull spirit… even though its name literally means Mongoose in Italian! They’re a pretty aggressive species, though…

The Mangusta’s aesthetic beautifully mirrors the company’s edgy brand language and details onto a motorbike chassis. The bike IS based on the Diavel, but Yasid expanded the wheelbase to create a more elegant, elongated machine. The Mangusta sports edgy, angular bodywork that’s highly reminiscent of Lamborghini’s supercars. There’s a combination of both metal as well as carbon-fiber to create a robust yet lightweight ride, and the only visible curve on the two-wheeler is around the seat, for pretty obvious reasons.

What truly makes this motorcycle worthy of the Lamborghini brand is its adherence to the headlamp and taillamp designs found in the cars. The sideways Y-shaped headlamps give the bike its steely Lamborghini glare, while the LED-strip taillights echo the same sort of edgy, aggressive aesthetic associated with Lamborghini’s cars. The Mangusta’s been showcased in the Reventon silver, and the Aventador yellow, although I wouldn’t mind seeing one in Ducati’s signature red, just for kicks!
