Beetlejuice Sandworm Lamp: Sweet Nightmares Are Made of This

Are your dreams just too pleasant? Sleeping like a baby through the night? Well clearly, you need a little nightmare fuel to help spark your subconscious. This Beetlejuice Sandworm mood light should do the trick just fine.

Inspired by the terrifying, multi-mouthed worm that rises from the sands in the Tim Burton’s classic 1988 dark comedy, this battery-powered accent lamp is sure to inspire some strange thoughts as you drift off to slumberland. Even though it’s only 5″ tall, it’ll look way bigger when you open one eyeball in the middle of the night to check the time on your alarm clock. Good luck getting back to sleep.

Give your nightmares the boost they need today! You can grab the Beetlejuice Sandworm mood light from Hot Topic for just $24.90.

Beetlejuice Note Card Set: For the Ghost Host with the Most

Think about classic ’80s flicks and Bettlejuice certainly comes to mind. If you are a Tim Burton fan, and the sort of host who needs note cards to thank people for coming to your ghoulish shindigs, this is the ticket.

The set comes packaged in a box that looks just like the Handbook for the Recently Deceased. Inside the book box, you will find 20 note cards, 20 envelopes, and 20 sticker seals. The set also includes a 192-page ruled journal with a coiled sandworm on the front.

The note cards have five different sayings on them, including “Never trust the living,” “I’m the ghost with the most, babe,” “It’s SHOWTIME!”, “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!”, and “Go ahead, make my millennium.”

Get the Beetlejuice note card set at ThinkGeek for $24.99. If the idea seems familiar, that’s because they’re very similar to the Edgar Allen Poe note card set that we talked about not long ago.

Beetlejuice Lamps Look Straight out of the Mind of Tim Burton

One of the most iconic things in Tim Burton’s 1988 classic Beetlejuice is Michael Keaton’s referee-striped suit. Later in the film, Beetlejuice spawns an insane merry-go-round hat and grows creepy long arms as he ups his maniacal taunting of the Deetz household. If his arms had lamps at the ends of them instead of giant mallets, they would have looked exactly like this.

Madrid, Spain based designer Alex Fraile of OmuLamp loves to create twisty, turny lamps. Among his collection is this series of Beetlejuice inspired table lamps, which would look great if you’re going for that Tim Burton goth-with-a-touch-of-whimsy look in any of your rooms.

There are several different designs available, each made from a resin- and foam-filled paper structure with a wooden base. Prices range from about $105 to $675 for the lamps depending on the size and complexity of the design, and they’re available from the Omulamp Etsy shop now.

Beetlejuice Crazy Face Masks and Eyeball Gloves Make Perfect Halloween Costumes

Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice is still one of my favorite movies of all time. It featured a great mix of wacky characters, funny dialogue, clever stop-motion animation, quirky visuals, and lots of weird and creepy stuff too. One of the most memorable moments in the film is when Adam and Barbara Maitland (Alex Baldwin and Geena Davis) practice making crazy faces to scare the Deetz’s out of their house. Their insane faces are permanently emblazoned in my brain though.

So when I saw these Beetlejuice masks for sale, I thought – my wife and I need to dress up in these for Halloween this year. Maybe we can get one of our goth friends to dress as Lydia too.

Both the Adam and Barbara masks are totally gross and weird, though  I always thought the extra set of eyeballs inside of Geena Davis’ mouth were especially disturbing. And did someone say they liked eyeballs? Well Rubie’s Costume Company has you covered there as well:

Yep, those are some ooky looking eyeball gloves to complete the look. If you’re a Beetlejuice fan like me, looks like you’re all set with a ready to go costume this year.

I only wish they made a costume based on Michael Keaton’s terrifying snake head.

Beetlejuice Handbook for the Recently Deceased Journal: It’s SHOWTIME!

This book looks just like the Handbook for the Recently Deceased from Beetlejuice. But unlike the one in the movie, it won’t instruct you on what to do when you die. Instead, it’s a hardcover journal, so you can write down your own thoughts about being recently deceased or anything else.

This journal has 250 pages for you to fill. Just don’t say you-know-who’s name three times while you’re doodling. I think you can probably write it three times safely, but it’s better not to take the chance.

If you fill up this journal with nothing but his name? God only knows what would happen. DO NOT DO THIS. Seriously. Just don’t. It’s really bad! Just take my word for it.

Beetlejuice Costume Hoodie: It’s Showtime!

Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!!! Say his name three times and this Beetlejuice costume hoodie will turn you into Betelgeuse, just in time for Halloween.

This hoodie recreates Beetlejuice’s striped suit and it has a hood that zips up over your head, turning your face into his face. It’s showtime! The hood has eye holes so you don’t stumble and trip while you are haunting your friends.

It’s perfect for Halloween or just whenever you want to scare folks Tim Burton/Michael Keaton style. The face on this hoodie is actually much scarier than the movie version. It kinda looks like an escaped convict clown.

X-Ray Illustrations: Cartoon Characters Exposed

Unless you’re an invertebrate, you probably have a skeleton. But even though we all have these bony structures holding us together, we still find skeletons kind of creepy. French artist Chris Panda seems to have an obsession with skeletons, having created a series of illustrations which let us see the bones of cartoon, video game, and pop culture icons.

The image of Sylvester with Tweety Bird in his stomach is pretty amusing, and Batman looks quite majestic, but Ariel’s skeleton put me in the mood to eat fish for dinner tonight. Is that wrong?

The series of images includes everyone from The Legend of Zelda’s Link, to Fionna and Cake from Adventure Time to Popeye. But the most disturbing image of all has to be this one of Miley Cyrus twerking with Beetlejuice. That’s even harder to look at than the original – now that’s an accomplishment.
