Make A Supervillain Entrance With The Terry Lifts, The At-Home Elevators

lifestyle_home_elevator_by_terry_lifts_1

Ok, so this is supposed to be for elderly people who have trouble going up and down stairs, and who don’t like the idea of getting a stairlift. Terry Lifts, from the UK, has a product for you: the Lifestyle Home Elevator. It’s able to carry up to 550lbs, stops at the slightest obstruction, and won’t move unless the door is closed properly. It can also provide the young-at-heart senior with the perfect prop with which to carry on his Supervillain act, allowing him or her to make a grandiose entrance whenever guests have arrived; all that would be missing is a hairy cat. There’s no word on price, though you can be sure it ain’t cheap.

cupsy-couch-beverage-holder-and-organizer-0

So you can’t afford a fancy La-Z-Boy with a fancy drink holder next to the seat? Well that’s fine, son, it doesn’t mean you have to deprive yourself of the convenience afforded by those elitist La-Z-Boy-sittin’ oligarchs: get the Cupsy Sofa and Couch Beverage Organizer. The folding legs means it can solidly be wedged between two sofa cushions, giving you easy and immediate access two cup holders, a center container for a TV remote, a cell phone, or anything else, as well as two fold-down arms for wine cups. It’s lightweight, repositionable, and the legs are removable so you can use it in even more situations, like on floaters in the pool. That’s a lot of convenience for $30.

The Airhook Adds A Cupholder To Your Airline Seat

airhook-airplane-device-drink-holder

“Stow your tray tables and set your seat in the upright position, please.” You’ve heard the words before, and if you were in the middle of doing something, like drinking your coffee or watching something on your tablet, it means the fun is over. But the Airhook lets give you a cup holder, and a tablet/smartphone holder, which you can easily attach to the back of the seat in front of you. Just like that, you’ll be able to carry on your activities as the plane takes off or lands. And even when it’s in the air, you’ll free up some legroom. It’ll cost you a $22 pledge to get yours, which should be delivered by December.

Looie Lets You Pee In Peace

looie

Nothing is more frustrating than being out, needing to pee, and having nowhere to go. Cops can fine you for public urination, not to mention it’s a little gross to relieve yourself on other people’s property, so we can totally see a place for a service like Looie. It uses a location-aware app as well as a dongle to give you access to the nearest restroom that’s part of its network. Currently about to launch in Tribeca only, the founder guarantees clean facilities every time (going as far as cleaning them himself for now). It’s going to cost you $25 per month for the service, which is money well spent if you’ve found yourself in that unenviable position more often than you’d care to admit. There is no word on expansion outside of Tribeca for now, but we suspect that’s going to be highly dependant on initial demand.

ODii Grab-It Gadget Rescues Your Stuff From Your Car’s Black Holes

grab-it-gadget

Ever lost something between your car seat and the center console? Yeah, that’s the black hole. Usually once it falls there, it’s a goner. But with the ODii, a telescoping four-pronged claw and magnet, you stand a chance of getting it back. Measuring a total of 12 inches to fit in your glove compartment, the claw part extends to 18 inches, while the magnet attachment goes all the way up to 24 inches. That magnet, by the way, is a super strong neodymium magnet and is able to lift up to 2 pounds. There’s even a detachable LED light to make it easier to see when you’re getting closer to retrieving those earrings, or whatever. And the ODii’s uses aren’t limited to the car. Dropped something behind your couch at home and don’t feel like moving the whole thing? Reach for this instead. It’s an ingenious and useful tool to keep around, and at $20 as an early-bird in the Kickstarter campaign, is priced just right.
