Apple is trying to save my hearing after I spent years ruining it

My love affair with loud music started in earnest in my sophomore year of high school, when I got an iPod for my birthday and immediately started blasting Black Mages albums and anime theme songs. Fast forward fifteen years, and my morning commute ne...

These Star Trek Spock Socks Have Vulcan Ears

These Star Trek Spock Socks are completely logical. Allow me to channel my inner Dr. Seuss. Spock socks shock. They also rock. Whether on the outer rim or in dry dock. Be one of the flock and dress in Spock. It’s the fashion around the clock. Do you grok?

Okay, I make a terrible Dr. Seuss. Because I ran out of juice. My rhymes like a noose. Anyway, enough of that nonsense. I see you raising a Vulcan eyebrow.

So these Spock Socks have ears sticking out of their sides, which may not be very practical if you wear pants or boots since they’ll get in the way, but if you wear these with some Starfleet shorts and a uniform top you’ll be alright. I’m sure you won’t get any weird looks at all.

These bad boys are the logical way to keep your feet warm. They’re made of 80% Acrylic/17% Nylon/3% Spandex and 100% awesome. I feel like they are bound to follow this up with Romulan and a Ferengi versions. I can’t wait to wear Quark on my feet with his big Dumbo ears. I’d pay good Latinum for that.

OwnPhones Custom Earbuds are 3D-Printed to Fit Your Ears

Earphones are available in all sorts of shapes, colors, and sizes. Sometimes you find one that fits perfectly, and all is well in the world. Other times, you end up with a pair that’s a pain to use because they keep falling off because they’re either too loose or too tight.

There’s not much you can do with your ears, but there’s plenty you can do when it comes to your earbuds, and you can start with OwnPhones. They’ll be launching a campaign on Kickstarter this month that will allow interested music lovers to have a pair of personalized earbuds custom-made.

Using OwnPhone’s mobile app, users are instructed to record a clip of both of their ears, which the company will then use to 3D-print a pair of perfect-fitting earbuds.

The retail price is expected to range from $299 to $449. However, OwnPhones will be offering an early bird discount when their Kickstarter campaign launches, so keep your eyes and ears peeled if you’re interested in getting a pair of your own.
