The Pixel 4 box is hiding an AR Easter egg

If you were one of the first people to scoop up a Google Pixel 4 or Pixel 4 XL, you might want to try pointing Google Lens at the rear of the box when you receive your phone. That's because Google has hidden an augmented reality Easter egg on the pac...

Google search pays tribute to ‘Wizard of Oz’ with a dizzying Easter egg

The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Has an Easter Egg

As you may or may not know, the Nintendo Switch’s Pro Controller is partially translucent, so you can look inside the guts of the accessory and see cool stuff. But there are some secrets within that are still hard to spot.

It turns out that there is a little easter egg that you’ll need to look closely to see. Most people would probably miss this. If you look directly above the right stick, you will see a special message that reads “thnx2 allgamefans!”

Pretty cool huh? You’ll have to look hard for it though. Pull the right thumbstick down and have a look.

If it looks a little funky, that’s because it’s actually printed on the circuit board inside the translucent shell (photo via @Gozilu)

Tesla Easter Egg is Mario Kart’s Rainbow Road

The folks who build Tesla cars are my kind of geeks, offering such features as the Spaceballs-inspired Ludicrous Speed on their performance models. Now, check out this short video of a cool Easter egg that Tesla included in its autopilot feature on the Model S.

Tesla owners will want to give this one a try. If you activate the autopilot four times quickly in a row, the road turns to Mario Kart’s Rainbow Road. This has got to be the best Tesla Model S Easter egg so far.

The Easter egg also plays a little cowbell when it gets going, because we can always use more cowbell. Check it out in action in the tweet below:

I wonder what other kinds of Easter eggs it has hidden away. People have found some already, but I bet there are a lot more, and with software updates being pushed over the air, more are probably being added regularly.

I love that the folks at Tesla are so awesome. Now if you guys can make the car throw some turtle shells and banana peels, that would be sweet!

Battlefield 4 Dragon Valley Easter Egg Really Doesn’t Want to Be Found

I’m not into first-person shooters, so I was surprised that Battlefield 4 actually has a reputation for having lots of hidden goodies and references. But one of the game’s newest Easter eggs will impress even BF4 fans. YouTuber jackfrags and his friends somehow managed to solve it.

The Easter egg hunt actually involves two maps, but most of takes place in Dragon Valley, the BF 2 map that was recently re-released in BF 4. It involves Morse code messages, buttons that are nearly impossible to find, a logic puzzle and a couple of memes. Each puzzle is difficult on its own, but for them to be strung together like this is brutal. The kicker? Two of the puzzles are randomized, which means you can’t brainlessly copy the solution.

In case you don’t have the time to check out the video right away, here’s the reward: a camouflage that was originally for DICE employees only.

That is some sadistic stuff right there. The hidden buttons in particular are mind-blowing, because it doesn’t seem like there are any clues as to their location. How did they even find those?

Serious Sam Easter Egg Discovered 14 Years After Launch

If you went back to 2001 and peeked into my PC gaming activities on any given day, I’d likely be playing Serious Sam. I loved that game and beat it more than once. I’ve never been much on searching out secrets hidden in the game though; I just wanted to shoot stuff up.

14 years after the game was launched, someone discovered a secret hidden in the game. It so well hidden that the person who discovered it had no idea until he began to work for game developer Croteam, and asked the CEO for help. The secret is itself within a secret level called Sacred Yards.

Watch the video to see it for yourself and if you still have a copy of the game try it. Sadly, I tossed mine a decade ago.
