Artist Crafts Entire McDonald’s Out Of Felt: McPlushies

Felt artist Lucy Sparrow went and constructed an entire McDonald’s restaurant out of felt, complete with a menu board, food items, a drink machine, seating, and wall art. Wow. Would I try to eat the fries? Of course, I’d try to eat the fries; I am a terrible decision-maker, aren’t I?

The McHappiness store was recently on display at the SCOPE Art Show in Miami Beach, Florida, and undoubtedly brought much McHappiness to everyone who got to see it. I only wonder if Lucy’s ice cream machine was out-of-order or not. The last time the ice cream machine at my local McDonald’s wasn’t out-of-order? Late 2018, and I go regularly.

I wonder just how many hours Lucy worked on crafting the store because I imagine it was quite a few. I mean Rome wasn’t built in a day, and this is way crazier than Rome. I mean, at least in my opinion. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a change.org petition to start to make the McRib a permanent menu item.

Human Face Baseball Cap: An Extra Face for Your Head

There are certainly some wild and crazy products to be found and impulsively purchased on Etsy. Case in point, this Human Face Baseball Cap crafted and sold by Sabri Tunca of Feltthink. Even reading ‘Human Face Baseball Cap,’ it’s somehow even more terrifying than I had imagined. I have to hand it to Sabri, I’m not surprised that easily.

The $168 felted Face Hat is made from 100% natural merino wool dyed by Sabri, who uses traditional wet felting and needle felting techniques to create the hats. Each is made to order in the size requested, so you don’t have to worry about getting a face too big for your head. That’s a relief.

You’ll definitely spend some time on the Jumbotron if you wear this to a baseball game, which is exactly what I plan on doing. Plus wearing a t-shirt with my company logo and contact information for some free advertising. Am I a marketing genius? I’d like to think so, at least if I can manage not to wear my shirt inside-out this time.

Taco Baby Booties: For Your Little Burrito

Tacos: they’re tied with pizza for the food I’d pick if I could only choose only one kind to eat for the rest of my life on a deserted island. Let’s just hope it never comes to that though, because I love both dearly. Handmade by Gulnara Kydyrmyshova and other women in her Kyrgyzstan community, these Taco Booties available from Uncommon Goods make the perfect footwear for getting your young one started on Taco Tuesdays at an appropriately early age.

The Taco Booties are constructed of sheep’s wool that’s dyed, spun, and felted in small batches so no two booties are exactly alike. They cost $25 per pair (the only way to order tacos) and are designed to fit 6 to 12-month-old baby feet. But is that going to stop me from trying to wear a pair? Yes. I’m hungry, not crazy.

Now I just need a pair of pizza booties so I can mix and match my baby’s footwear. Not unlike how I’m wearing two different colored socks today. That’s the great thing about working from home though – there’s nobody here to make fun of me except my wife. Who, incidentally, makes fun of me harder than my whole office used to. I miss going to work sometimes.

You see that cute, egg-shaped Dragonite? He can be yours too. These are about 2.25 inches-tall and each are hand needle-felted with glass eyes attached. I’m not really a big Pokémon fan, but these guys are so adorable, I want them.

They will cost you $26(USD)-$28(USD) at her Etsy shop and for that price you are getting a great quality, highly detailed little pet/friend that you can display on your desk or wherever. Each one is handmade to order, and they’re selling like hotcakes, so allow at least a month if you want one.
