Countertop Slush Puppie Machine Is Brain Freeze Ready

A staple of gas stations when I was growing up, Slush Puppies are hands down one of the best beverages to drink if you want your mom constantly nagging that you’re going to rot all your teeth out. Available from FireBox, the $100 countertop Slush Puppie machine allegedly produces Slush Puppies just like you remember: insanely sweet and painfully cold.

The countertop Slush Puppie machine can produce a liter of slush every 15-25 minutes, with the option for a coarse or fine ice grain. Just add water, ice, salt, and Slush Puppie syrup (sold separately in 500mL bottles – enough to make 4 liters apiece), and you’re well on your way to a debilitating brain freeze! I… I can’t think straight!

FireBox reminds you that if you’re going to add alcohol to your Slush Puppie, you need to do so AFTER making it in the machine. Otherwise, the alcohol will prevent the mix from freezing properly since its freezing temperature is significantly colder than water. Of course, anybody like me who’s tried and failed to make alcohol freezy pops on spring break probably already knows that.

Man Builds Electric-Powered Ice Skates That Double as Meat Grinders

Because you don’t know until you try, and not trying may haunt you for the rest of your life, Simon Sörensen of YouTube channel RCLifeOn went and built himself a pair of electric-powered ice skates using parts from an electric skateboard. I can already see myself scoring the winning goal in a hockey game. Wait – or is that me getting ejected for wearing electric skates?

Each skate has an electric motor surrounded by a spiked wheel mounted on the heel, along with shock absorbers (which he later replaces with solid rods) to ensure the wheel remains in constant contact with the ice. He controls the wheels’ rotation via a handheld controller, and both skates are powered via a battery worn in a backpack and not by the power of Greyskull like I would have used. What? He-Man doesn’t need it all.

Simon warns at 10:48 in the video that if you’re interested in building similar skates to be careful, and uses one of the spiked wheels to grind a hotdog and carrot to demonstrate what might happen if you fell on one of them. I think it goes without saying, but that does not look like a very pleasant experience.

This Unique and New Frozen Watch Transforms Into a Robot

A curious product discovery has set the social media abuzz, and this time around, it is a Frozen watch that transforms into an Elsa robot. It looks like an innocuous watch at first glance, something that one might find in one of the many electronic stores in Tokyo. However, within a few seconds, one will realize that this is no ordinary watch. It quickly transforms into an Elsa robot that is uniquely wonderful.

The transformation from Frozen Watch to Elsa Robot is incredible

The watch is dedicated to children who love the popular Disney film Frozen. People love Frozen due to its main characters Elsa and Olaf, and thousands of Frozen-related products are already in the market.

However, this kid’s digital watch features Elsa and Olaf but quickly turns into a pink and white Elsa robot.

The robot’s arms stretch, out, finally revealing tiny hands. Finally, Elsa’s head pops out and it is too tiny for the size of her body. This makes the watch look surreal in a certain angle.

Frozen Watch uses pink and white as dominant colors

One must bear in mind that pink and white aren’t colors associated with Elsa’s character. However, this watch heavily borrows from these color combinations and looks almost magical due to the uniqueness. After all, there are a lot of products that people and journalists perceive to be “weird” when they originate from Japan. This only points towards labeling what one is not familiar with as “weird”. Japan’s culture is unique and is quite different from American pop culture.

“Weird” Japanese products such as Frozen Watch may help children become more inclusive

As American culture is dominant throughout the world, most people find Japanese culture exotic and otherworldly. While this may arouse curiosity and interest in some users, it may also lead to the othering of Japanese culture, which can have serious negative effects for Japanese people living in Western countries.

Products such as this Frozen watch might help people to get over this idea that what seems different and unfamiliar is “weird”. Hopefully, children who buy this Frozen watch that transforms into an Elsa robot will get more familiar with Japan’s products and culture, and thus become more inclusive.
