Samsung Tries to Squash GTA V Note 7 Sticky Bomb Videos on YouTube

I thought that the GTA V mod where someone turned the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 into a sticky bomb was genius. After all, the overheating phone was bursting into flames willy nilly all over the world. Samsung didn’t think that it was funny though, having lost billions thanks to the firebug Note 7 smartphone.

Samsung’s lawyers weren’t having any of this stuff, and demanded that YouTube pull videos of the mod over copyright claims. That seems like a dick move and certainly won’t turn down the heat on Samsung. We all know your phones catch fire Samsung, banning videos of a mod that is probably the funniest thing about your crappy phone isn’t cool. Last time I checked, parody and satire was protected by the First Amendment.

At least one of the YouTubers who had posted the video filed a counter-claim trying to get the video back online, and as of this writing, YouTube has reinstated the clip.

Galaxy Note 7 Recall Is the Scariest Halloween Costume This Year

This Halloween, you are going to see many scary costumes, but none are as frightening as this Samsung Galaxy Note 7 costume. It would make any Samsung executive run away screaming in terror.

This is the best hallowmeme costume of the year. The smartphones even smoke as if they are about to blow up. This cool costume comes from Chris Kiley. It is just six Note 7 boxes strapped to a T-shirt, and the smoke comes from a tube poking out of the collar. This guy most certainly won’t make it through airport security.

This Halloween I’m going as a fire hazard (OC) (plus instructions on how to make your own!)

If you want to build your own, you can find the instructions here. It’s safer than using even one genuine Galaxy Note 7.

Exploding Galaxy Note 7 GTA V Sticky Bomb Mod

Samsung has not had an easy time lately, what with their exploding smartphones and washing machines, but the good news is that the worst seems to be behind them. Mostly. The Internet will make sure that the tale lives on though, via YouTube clips like this one. Here, the Galaxy Note 7 is put to good use in a fun Grand Theft Auto V mod, as a sticky bomb. Seems appropriate.

It all starts with a visit to the weapons store. There sits a shiny new Galaxy Note 7. After that, Modded Games shows us how it can be used to create all kinds of fiery chaos. Samsung surely won’t find this funny, but at least they can be thankful that real-life Note 7 owners have not come to any serious harm.

Maybe Samsung has a future creating weapons.
