Sleep with a Gorilla in Your Bed

Are you feeling lonely sleeping in your bed alone? Scared somebody might be climbin’ in your windows and snatchin’ you up at night? Well you need a gorilla in your bed!

Japanese outfit You+More’s gorilla pillow is the perfect addition to any bed, offering up a comforting arm and huge pectoral muscles for you to rest your weary head on. The pillow is inspired by Shanabi, a Western lowland gorilla who resides at the Higashiyama Zoo in Nagoya, Japan.

The soft and comforting pillow measures about 18 inches-tall and almost 3 feet-wide, and is made from 100% polyester – just like a real gorilla! There’s even a cosy nook to hang onto your phone when he’s not holding a banana there.

Sadly, I’m not sure where you can get this gorilla pillow here in the states, but if you live in Japan, you should be able to pick one up from Felissimo for ¥6,300, or about $59 USD.

This Soft Gorilla Breaks Down into Furniture

See that large but soft gorilla? That’s a fun item to have in your home all by itself, but what if I told you that it breaks down into several pieces of lounge furniture? Pretty cool huh? This is furniture that you can go ape for.

This piece of art/furniture is from Karson Shaldey, a product designer in San Francisco. It is called OOH OOH. Basically this upholstered gorilla comes apart and turns into cushions for lounging around on the floor. The body becomes a chair, the arms turn into benches, and the head is a rug.

If we can judge by the images, this is a real hit with the ladies.
