Epic Games’ GTA V giveaway caused chaos beyond Epic’s own games store. Rockstar is warning of problems accessing GTA V for PC and the company’s Games Launcher due to “extremely high player volumes.” We’ve asked the developer for comment, but it doesn...

You Can Play as Magneto in Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V already has a lot of ways that you can be destructive in the game, and now here comes one more. You can now play as the X-Men villain Magneto thanks to a mod from JulioNIB. So if you ever wanted to see Magneto let loose in Los Santos and just destroy everything, you can live that dream.

The video below pretty much shows off what Magneto can do. This includes basically every power that we saw him use in the X-Men films like the “steal your guns and shoot you with them” power. And obviously picking every damn thing up and throwing it. You can also super punch vehicles, create a tornado, and rip things out of the ground.

You can rip stop signs out of the ground and impale people, make planes crash into each other and a whole lot more. When you think about it, Magneto is basically just a kid with superpowers throwing a tantrum and breaking his (and everyone else’s) toys.

PC gamers can get the installation instructions here. This just proves that they could make a kick-ass X-Men game if they wanted to, using the GTA engine. I would love to see the whole team against Magneto.

YouTube Unblocks GTA V Note 7 Sticky Bomb Videos

Sometimes the little guy wins when it comes to some BS going down. I mentioned before that Samsung had videos of the GTA V Galaxy Note 7 sticky bomb mod pulled off YouTube over copyright claims. As YouTube is known to often do, it simply pulled the videos without looking much into the legality of it.

User sdaddy345 had said that he was filing a counterclaim, and it looks like he won. As parody generally doesn’t violate intellectual property rights, it appears that YouTube has seen the light and at least this one video is back on YouTube:

Exploding Galaxy Note 7 GTA V Sticky Bomb Mod

Samsung has not had an easy time lately, what with their exploding smartphones and washing machines, but the good news is that the worst seems to be behind them. Mostly. The Internet will make sure that the tale lives on though, via YouTube clips like this one. Here, the Galaxy Note 7 is put to good use in a fun Grand Theft Auto V mod, as a sticky bomb. Seems appropriate.

It all starts with a visit to the weapons store. There sits a shiny new Galaxy Note 7. After that, Modded Games shows us how it can be used to create all kinds of fiery chaos. Samsung surely won’t find this funny, but at least they can be thankful that real-life Note 7 owners have not come to any serious harm.

Maybe Samsung has a future creating weapons.
