A companion app helps to track the progress and growth of your plants. Compared to traditional bamboo steamers, this product is cleaner, more portable, and easily accessible for consumers who are less familiar with Chinese culture and cooking techniques. The steamer seems very-user friendly, as it only has one control: a circular LED timer. Simply plug in the device, set your timer- no extra on/off switch needed. These small touches make the Bamboo Food Steamer the easiest purchase you could make in order to support healthy and environmentally sustainable choices.

Designed to put a rotisserie in every home (because buying a special rotisserie oven could set you back a couple of grands), the ROTO-Q 360 costs a mere $49 and comes in all-metal, and folds right down to easily fit into a drawer when not in use. Cleverly designed with spring-loaded mechanical components, the ROTO-Q 360 can rotate for a full 60 minutes at a time. When you’re done, the rotating gearbox slides right off, allowing you to put the rest of the rotisserie in a dishwasher, or even clean it in your kitchen sink. The entire setup weighs a little over 5 pounds and can be used either at home or carried over to a friend’s house or barbecue party.

Designed to replace those wasteful single-use plastic vacuum bags, and that expensive vacuum sealer that comes along with it, SealVax’s bags are reusable, infinitely washable, and come with their own pocket-friendly pump that is powered by your smartphone. The pump, which is no larger than a thumb drive or a car charger, locks into the air valves on the SealVax bags and comes with two ports at the opposite end – a Type-C port, and a Lightning connector.

Hyunseok An’s design team Ulrim designed The Coral, an indoor micro-algae farm that looks as good as it is for you. Using algae to convert carbon dioxide into energy, The Coral implements the use of a bioreactor to support its micro-biological farm. The bioreactor provides a controlled environment for the algae to enact photosynthesis and produce the nutrients that are then contained within the wall-mounted cell blocks for future consumption. Each cell block is like a microcosm of stagnant ponds covered with a healthy coating of algae, the only difference being that The Coral is a controlled environment.

The Wulcano set comes with four different elements that stack one upon another to create a layer-by-layer food preparation system. Made from stainless steel, the Wulcano works on gas, electric, ceramic, and induction stoves with ease, using a single stove to prepare multiple tiers of food. This fundamentally allows you to prepare different food at the same time, utilizing only one source of heat to cook multiple dishes, and allowing you to simultaneously prepare more than one course of food at a time. The lowest container holds the water (you can use stock too) that boils and turns into steam.

The Kefirko makes pickling easy, with a glass bottle that holds your veggies and brine, a weight to keep the veggies completely submerged, and an auto-burping mechanism that allows carbon dioxide to pass through a one-way-valve to release pressure. What’s more, the pickling jar even comes with a daytimer on the top that counts down the number of days you’ve kept your veggies to pickle. The one-of-a-kind fermentation station makes it ridiculously easy to pickle practically anything, from veggies to kimchi, or even some sauerkraut!

Designed to help trick your brain into eating mindfully by controlling portions, the IGGI is a Stoneware bowl that uses food psychology and ‘Calorie Cloaking’ to help you eat 30% less but still feel satiated. It sports a false curved bottom that makes the bowl look full while still having 33%  less food, along with a red interior that helps curb your appetite more than a white plate. Moreover, the red color also alters your perception of food, driving you towards eating green vegetables to make your food ‘look balanced’. Paired along with the IGGI app, the two form a system called Meal Mindfulness.

STEAMIE, designed and developed by award-winning Mindsailors Design Studio, reintroduces steam into mainstream cooking. Steam has a way of cooking food without diluting its flavor, giving you healthy food that’s rich in nutrients as well as packed with great taste. The tabletop appliance uses this power to help prepare food that’s both nutritious and tasty. The layered appliance houses a water bath below, and food (be it veggies or meat) is placed in perforated trays above. STEAMIE then uses a unique turbo convection method to rapidly steam-cook the food. These pressurized jets of steam measure 125°C and instantly close external pores of meat, vegetables or seafood, locking the flavor within, while the heat from the steam helps cook the food. The fact that the food isn’t immersed in water (like with boiling) helps keep the food from tasting watery or ‘wet’.

Designed by Germany-based Aurora Life Science, Nutrio takes the guesswork out of your diet. Sure, outwardly it looks like a cross between a cutting board and a cashier’s billing desk at the supermarket, but the Nutrio is in fact a comprehensive nutrition calculator that lets you measure your food in an absolutely new way. The chopping board comes with an entire host of sensors that can detect your food, weigh the food, and display all its nutritional information. Whether you’re using raw ingredients or even packaged products, Nutrio lets you scan your food, calculate your caloric and nutritional intake, and absolutely crush your diet because you’re much more aware of what you cook and eat.

A Japanese charm redesigned to keep you healthy by syncing with the earth!

Omamori (お守り) are traditional good luck charms in Japanese culture that protect the wearer of the charm. The Japanese word “mamori” (守り) means protection, while prefix “o” gives the word an external movent connotation, transforming it to “your protection” and there are Omamoris for every area of life: love, health, luck, trips, success, protection. The concept of Kenkō is a futuristic take on the traditional Omamori, it does not cure illnesses or ward off evil spirits but it helps you stay healthy by being in sync with the earth’s electromagnetic frequencies. It is ergonomic, travel-friendly and minimal while still being a powerful force.

The earth is constantly emitting 7,83 Hz (also known as the earth’s breath, who knew that?!) along its surface which is believed to allow living beings to regulate their physiological functions. Scientific studies show that the earth’s natural magnetic fields have a positive influence on our brains. With the rapid development of electronic communication technologies, our bodies are getting confused between the natural and artificial frequencies which are dwindling our inherent ability to be in sync with nature. This concept device is aimed at increasing focus, coordinated neural activities, improve sleep and circadian rhythms, stabilize blood pressure and stimulate osteoblasts. Kenkō will be created to produce a 7,83Hz signal, reproducing the natural frequency using technology which will help human bodies re-establish their intrinsic relationship with being healthy naturally. It will have an LED light strip that glows when you switch on the device. Electrosmog caused by Wi-Fi and smartphone frequencies can no longer disturb the sync between the natural rhythm and your brain with Kenkō’s 1.5m protection radius around you. It is also designed to be pocket-sized so you can carry it everywhere like the traditional Omamori is meant to be but with a sleek touch of tech!
