WD has just started shipping world’s first 10TB perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) hard disk drive to companies that are finding it difficult to store data on the current drives.

HGST Ultrastar He10, as this 10TB drop-in HDD is called, really is a game-changer, as it offers the highest capacity and lowest power consumption per TB, along with the highest reliability rating on the market. Not only companies whose servers need to host tremendous amounts of data could use such a storage solution, but also regular consumers. Just think how much space 4K videos occupy!
