Want to flaunt your new iPhone? How about this crossbody holster that holds your phone and cards

Pockets. Sometimes you’ve got them, sometimes you don’t, sometimes you wear a jacket and leave stuff in the pockets only to discover them a year later. Or sometimes you’ve got just enough pockets that you need to put your smartphone along with your keys, leaving them vulnerable to scratches. This isn’t really a referendum on pockets, it’s sort of a scenario-building effort that makes the Moshi Crossbody Phone Holster look like a pretty sensible product to have. If you’re running low on pockets, or if you identify as a hipster who doesn’t believe in sticking to conventions, Moshi’s vegan-leather crossbody holster gives you a perfect spot to stash your phone as well as cards and cash. The holster sits diagonally around your torso and makes it much easier to access your phone and cards while on the go. It also makes you look like a bit of an avant-garde person of culture.

Designed in California (quite like the iPhone shown inside it), the Moshi Crossbody Holster is a slick little piece of EDC that carries your phone as well as your cards. Perfect when you want to head out for a quick coffee run or to meet a friend (when you don’t need to carry anything more than your phone, wallet, and keys), the Crossbody Holster serves as a pretty stylish fashion accessory that’s just as functional.

The holster comes built out of vegan leather and is wide enough to hold all sorts of phones (from the smaller ones to the larger Pro/Max/Plus ones too). A bifold-style magnetic flap on the front lets you store 3 cards for easy access, which means you don’t really need to splurge on a MagSafe wallet that may accidentally slip off your phone.

The vegan leather build is weather-resistant and abrasion-resistant. It even comes with an anti-bacterial NanoShield coating to kill germs upon contact, and is equipped with an adjustable and removable crossbody strap. For now, the Moshi Crossbody Phone Holster comes in just black (although I’d love to see spunky color variants), and like all of Moshi’s products, is backed by a 2-year warranty. However, if you buy the holster of Moshi’s website, it automatically gets enrolled in Moshi’s 10-year Global Warranty Program.

Firefly Malcolm Reynolds’ Holster and Belt is Gorram Awesome

Here’s the perfect Christmas gift for fans of Firefly. It’s Malcolm Reynolds’ holster and gun belt from the show. I mean it’s not the actual one from the show, but you know what I mean. This replica is made of real leather with metal details and comes in multiple sizes.

It can hold one gun, which naturally isn’t included. You’ll need a suitably western looking gun to finish the kit. The holster is said to be screen accurate and looks really old even though it is new.

The gun belt and holster is $109.99(USD) and available in sm/m, l/xl, and 2X sizes. Pick one up at ThinkGeek now.

Cameraincoat

If your precious little phone can have its own protection case then why can’t your uber-expensive camera? Come rain, come snow, the Agua is to your camera what the Iron Man suit is to Tony Stark. Well not literally, but this little buddy can help you lug your precious cam through a blizzard, rainforest, and even a sandstorm. Plus the nifty design integrates the camera strap into the design, so you can just pull the Agua off with ease and snap away!

Nintendo Zapper Holster for Quick Draw Duck Hunt Games

It takes a serious old school gamer to walk around with his NES Zapper in a holster. Apparently, A.F. 275 is just such an individual. If you also wear a Zapper holster and should meet him on a dusty street at high noon, you’d better be fast. He can draw and shoot ducks faster than any man alive. Or so I figure.

He made this cool plastic over-the-waistband holster for his Nintendo Entertainment System Zapper. Afterwards he had to range test it, so he ran it through six rounds of Duck Hunt, drawing on each duck from a holstered position and hit every one of them. That’s better than I can do un-holstered.

The holster looks pretty sweet. You might think that the gun would warp and melt under the heat and pressure, but I guess these guns are tougher then they look.

RIM patent proposes battery-charging cellphone holster

Image

Even after the many announcements at this year's BlackBerry World Conference, Waterloo is keeping that patent train a-rollin'. In a filing granted today, we get a glimpse of what RIM could have up its sleeve, er, on its hip. The claims detail flexible batteries built into holsters that recharge your phone when you're on the go -- all the while communicating to your BB's CPU to bring you alerts through its own speakers -- thus avoiding muffled sounds from covered parts. That's all well and good, but here's the real question: will these things eventually play nice with fuel cell-powered Berries?

JoeyBra: Is That an iPhone in Your Bra, or Are You Just Glad to See Me?

I get that women need to carry around their iPhones, but this is the first time that I’ve seen an accessory that will allow you to carry around your iPhone in a bra! It was created to allow women to still have a way to carry their iPhones when they don’t want to have to lug their purses around.

The JoeyBra is being crowdfunded through Kickstarter, and it’s the product of two students from the University of Washington. It looks like it can stash some cash and credit cards as well. Apparently, Kyle and Mariah have done enough research before starting this, so they’re pretty stoked about this. They did a survey among 200 young women and found that 95% had a problem with where to put their belongings while out partying and 73% lost personal items. 88% were interested in hiding away their personal items on their person.

The Kickstarter project has amassed more than half of its $4,000 goal with almost three weeks left for funding. This means that in all likelihood, it will get made. You’ll need to pledge $30(USD) or more to get yours.
