Giant 12-Foot Tall Pumpkin Headed Vine Skeleton Halloween Decoration

Because what’s Halloween if not an opportunity to one-up all your neighbors with over-the-top decorations, this is the 12-ft Giant-Sized Inferno Pumpkin Skeleton with LifeEyes™ LCD Eyes available from Home Depot for $350. I can already imagine my wife asking what the $350 charge from Home Depot was and me lying and telling her it was for power tools. Matt from two doors down doesn’t stand a chance of out-Halloweening me this year!

The giant pumpkin-headed skeleton includes posable arms, a ribcage filled with a glowing flame effect, a fiery mouth, and LCD animated eyes that look around and stare at people passing by. Am I going to leave mine up year-round? For $350, you better believe I am, and I don’t care what the homeowner’s association has to say about it.

It goes without saying that if you have a 12-foot pumpkin king skeleton in your yard, you better be handing out full-size candy bars. Because I think we can all agree having a 12-foot Halloween decoration on your lawn but handing out candy corn or licorice is a recipe for getting your house toilet papered.

The Home Depot Sells an Elvis Squirrel Statue

When I make a run to The Home Depot, it’s usually because I need some 2x4s, drywall compound, or drill bits. So go figure that while I was shopping on their website for some completely unrelated hardware, this thing popped up on my Facebook page later in the day.

I’m not sure what it was about my shopping for PVC deck parts that made Home Depot’s ad retargeting vendor recommend this Elvis-inspired squirrel, but now I must have one for my yard. So I guess the technology is working properly. Somehow the algorithm knew that I would want one of these. Not only that, it must have known that I edit a website filled with strange and wonderful products, and would tell all of my readers about it.

Now you know an Elvis Squirrel exists too, and you want one too.  For what I can only assume is the fear of the Presley estate’s lawyers, this thing is actually called “Elmer the Rock and Roll Squirrel,” but I think it’s pretty obvious from the haircut and sparkly jumpsuit who this is supposed to be. Elmer Prusbley, naturally.

You can get your hands on the king of rock and roll squirrels over at The Home Depot for $23.98.

MakerBot Replicator Available in Some Home Depot Locations

I really like the idea of owning a 3D printer so I can build all sorts of cool items when I want. The catch for me is that I want to see how hard the machine is to use before I plunk down the money. I would bet many people out there are the same way.

If you are interested in a MakerBot Replicator 3D printer and happen to live in one of three test cities, you can go to Home Depot and check the Replicator out in person. A kiosk will be set up in about a dozen locations in California, Chicago, and New York City.

Some locations will have workers on hand to show people what the printers can do and make things they can take home. This is a pretty cool idea, and it appears you can buy supplies at the locations after you buy your printer.
