Jeans with One Giant Pocket in the Rear

Invented by self-proclaimed mad scientist Matty Benedetto of Unnecessary Inventions, One Butt Jeans are a pair of denim jeans with one giant pocket stretching across the rear. That way, you can carry much larger items than with traditional rear jean pockets—things like a whole six-pack of soda or a laptop. And I’m pretty sure I speak for everyone here when I say where have these been all my life?

In the accompanying video, Matty mentions that the jeans are perfect for construction workers to load up all their tools. Just be careful sitting down! Or trying to walk without your pants falling down. Definitely wear a strong belt.

Admittedly, not the worst idea. But certainly not the best idea either. If I’m being completely honest, it definitely leans more towards a bad idea than a good idea. And I’m not just saying that because I didn’t think of it first, I’m only mostly saying that because I didn’t think of it first.

Wear It, Charge It, Use It: Joe’s Jeans #HELLO Pants

Charging Jeans

Got no space in your bag for a power bank? No worries, because Joe’s Jeans have got you covered with their new #HELLO pants. These designer denim pants feature a sown-in slot near the waistband and an extra pocket at the rear– the former for the battery pack and the latter for your phone. That way, you can just stick your gadgets into your jeans and charge ’em as you go.

The jeans retail for $189, which is obviously steep for a pair of jeans. The battery pack doesn’t come with the jeans though, and you’ll have to buy it separately for $49. You’ll be able to charge your iPhone at least three-fourths full using the ultra-slim battery pack. Aside from Apple gadgets, you’ll also be able to use it to charge micro USB-compatible devices.

Outties Jeans Inspired by Back to the Future 2

Remember when Marty and Doc travel back to the future and arrive less than five months from now on October 21st, 2015? Doc tells Marty to pull out his pants pockets because in the future all the kids wear their pants inside out. Remember that? Well, those jeans exist now. That could only mean that the events in Back to the Future 2 will happen.

Inventor Ross O’Mullane has created these pants, called “Outties“. It is a pair of jeans inspired by the movie. They look like they are inside-out and have hidden pockets, accessible belt loops and a fully functioning fly. O’Mullane is raising funds on Kickstarter for manufacturing costs.

He was watching the movie one day and wondered why no one had made them yet. So he decided that he would do it. In doing so he has insured that the future will unfold properly.
